• Location is excellent. Excellent high speed/elevator management system.
• Could have used a refrigerator in the room.

“Beautiful hotel, completely clean. Located in the heart of Times Square. The staff was helpful and courteous. Our room was ready hours in advance and was quite lovely. We felt very safe during our stay. See concierge for some great tips.”

• I would love to meet the employee trainer. These people were phenomenal!
• There was nothing not to like.

“One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Right on Times Square. Every single employee was excellent. Even late at night. As a business manager I was impressed, and I am not easily impressed.”

• Great location in the theatre district.
• High tech elevator system.

“Excellent hotel in a great location and the drive through makes it easy to get a cab. We had a huge room by any standards. The high tech elevator system assigns an elevator car by your floor is unlike any Ive seen, but when we realized that it helped alleviate the congestion in a mega size hotel, we decided it was worth it. If you want a times square hotel, this is a great choice.”

• Plasma TV, gourmet steaks from room service, early check in.
• No mini bar, no fridge, no HD TV channels.

“Great NY city location, service was very responsive, ordered NY steaks and a great linguine & Caesar salad from room service. Large plasma TV in room, great mattresses on beds, very fluffy soft bed gear. Fast elevators, efficient place, liked it.”

• Not crazy about the elevator system but it has improved since my last stay 2 years ago.

“This is a nice 4 * hotel in the heart of times square. The rooms are some of the largest I have stayed in NYC. If you want to be in the middle of times square this is the perfect location, close to subways at 42nd or 47th and with ample taxis as well. I have stayed at this hotel several times and they have updated to nicer linens. Beds are comfortable but not quite a "heavenly bed" like the Westin. Bathrooms are also good size. I don't usually eat at the hotel because there are so many other restaurant choices in close proximity that are better choices both price and quality. Now that the tickets booth has relocated to the alley behind the hotel there is a lot of congestion with queue lines of people. The elevators at this hotel have always in my opinion been a negative, because there has always been a long wait. Now they have changed the system to punching in your floor, at a designated station, which then assigns you an elevator to go to, which has cut down on the wait time, but if you decide after you are on that elevator that you want to stop at another floor you can not because there are no floor buttons to push inside the elevator. Other than this being somewhat of a negative it is improved. I would highly recommend this hotel for someone who is visiting NYC for the first time as it is convenient to all Broadway theatres, good restaurants and most tourist attractions, shopping etc.”

• Quiet, comfortable and good decor, good service.
• No minibar though, extremely big, towels are rough, need better shampoos etc for a four star hotel.

“This is an excellent place to stay. I was surprised how quiet the room was despite being in the center of the city and for being so large. The service was very good. The beds were very comfortable and the room was nicely decorated.”

• It was a nice surprise to get this hotel, not knowing exactly what we would get in the bid process.
• Everything was "ok".

“An excellent up scale facility. The only possible complaint is that it obviously caters to the business community (conventions) which made for a crowded lobby and elevators during our brief stay.”

• Very helpful friendly staff. Very clean and attractive. Free gym was great. We loved it.
• Some of the public areas could be updated.

“If you are visiting NYC, either for the first time or more, this is a great place. Staff is super helpful, hotel is very clean and comfortable, and you're at the center of everything or steps away from the subway if you want to be somewhere else quickly. Very nice.”

• Large rooms, excellent location, comfortable beds!
• Overnight car parking cost $60.00.

“Location, location, location, that says it all. However, this hotel also provides top service and amenities. Large rooms with comfortable beds and plush pillows. I called ahead and requested adjoining rooms because my wife and 3 teen-age boys were traveling with me, and the hotel made it happen! We all were totally satisfied. I highly recommend staying at this hotel!”

“The Marriott Marquis is a great hotel with good rooms, really helpful staff, good location, and the typical amenities one would expect to find in a nice hotel. The only downside was that it was incredibly expensive. I'd recommend this hotel only to business travelers who are living high on the hog or to leisure travelers who have saved for 2 years to afford their vacation to New York.”

• Internet access is a little pricey.

“The location is perfect for tourists, right in the middle of times square. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The elevators were very efficient and fast. The rooms were large, clean, and with a view of the streets. An available in-room safe was very useful for keeping valuables secure. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to see the sights and sounds of New York city.”

• Bigger rooms than other hotels of the area, great location.
• Allergic to designer Shampoo and soap they provided, elevators sometimes tried to route more people on them then possible.

“The staff was friendly and check in and out was easy. The room was comfortable. Although the noise from the city streets filtered up to my room that of other guests did not.”

• It was gorgeous! Very modern, loved everything about it!
• Saturday the elevators did not work because of all the guests.

“I loved the hotel, and the great people that worked there were very friendly and helpful. We had never been to new York but had always wanted to go. The beds were very comfortable and loved those elevators! We will come again and stay at the Marriott marquis!”

• Great atrium; interesting elevators, clean rooms.
• Internet was a bit pricey at $16/ day!

“I was pleasantly surprised. Ample spaces, short waits in elevators, excellently located in Times Square. Nice rooms, well kept; clean bathroom. Public areas are attractive and varied- several restaurants, bars, Starbucks, stores, etc. Huge atrium is quite a sight.”

• Interesting location (Times Sq) if a trifle busy.
• Parking autos expensive (but who would bring one?).

“An interesting place, although far from the shops and other attractions (other than Times Sq). Great views & restaurants. Programmed elevators that are efficient but take a bit of thought. Staff is very helpful and it's clearly a great place to stay at least once. This is in a very busy location and the entrance is shared with some theaters. The hotel actually occupies floors 8-45 and there's a revolving restaurant on top, said to be the only one in the city. Maintenance is excellent. ”

• The bathroom fan was not working.
