• Convenient location, very nice rooms.

“We have stayed at Hampton Inn on many family trips and have always appreciated the nice rooms at affordable cost. This Hampton Inn was no exception. I would recommend it for overnight stays as well as for longer family vacations.”

• Rooms were larger then many
  I have stayed in
  NYC.
• TV's were smaller and fuzzy.

“The exterior of the hotel does not do it justice. Once inside the small lobby, you will be greeted by smiling employees, a rare thing in NYC. A coffee/ Tea bar is set up and stocked 24/7, and the rooms are very clean and spacious. I had no complaints, and I would most likely stay there again.”

• The helpfulness of the staff.

“The staff was helpful during all the 3 day stay and very courteous. We asked for a room on a lower floor and they cheerfully accommodated us. For NYC--the room was huge and all appliances and electronics were in working order. There was very little street noise. I will stay there again.
”

• The staff was friendly and helpful, room was big and nice.
• The lobby and breakfast area was too small and crowded.

“Our stay at the hotel was very good, it is conveniently close to Rockefeller centers at 5th Avenue, Times Square and the subway. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel building is not very tall and you don't get an impressive view of NYC from your window. The common areas were not well equipped, the lobby is too small for the many guests as well as the breakfast area. The lobby level coffee wasn't good at all. All in all I would stay at this hotel again for its clean and big rooms, its friendly staff. Oh did I mention that you also get free breakfast on the house?”

• Good location, friendly, helpful staff, great continental breakfast, beautiful, clean room & comfortable bed! would definitely stay here!
• Line ups for breakfast. Sometimes hard to find a seat.

“Would definitely recommend this hotel & I personally will stay here my next visit to NYC! Friendly, helpful staff, good location, free continental breakfast & free coffee/tea anytime a definite plus! Beautiful, large, clean rooms; clean and very comfortable beds. Great, definitely not a disappointment!”

• Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
• Concierge was not knowledgeable--in fact, she gave us suggestions that weren't good, and directions that were wrong. This happened with two of them.

“The hotel is in a great location--close to theaters, shopping, Times Square, and subways. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The Concierge was not helpful, in fact, both who were working while we were there had old information and sent us to incorrect places. If you have your plan already set, this is a great hotel to stay in.”

• Cleanliness and a top notch staff; looked like a new property.
• Upon arrival we received a rollaway instead of 2 doubles.

“On our next trip to New York I would certainly stay at this Hampton. It was bright and modern decor, the staff was cheerful and helpful and the breakfast bar was one of the best. It was inconvenient to have the rollaway for our teenage son instead of a second bed. It was not so bad for sleeping, but it did take up much space in a one bedroom hotel room.”

• Location, love staying there. Always stay here in the last 5 years.
• The maid service was not up to par, with vacuuming the room.

“Fantastic place to stay, location is excellent, always stay here when I'm in NYC, will not stay anywhere else, the breakfast is great, the rooms has queens size beds, there staff are very accommodating.”

• We were amazed that once we were in our room we could not hear any street noise; the hotel was well insulated for sound to the outside.
• The walls between the rooms were not well insulated for sound. Our neighbors kept us awake and woke us up in the mornings.

“We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel when we arrived at 2 am after a long delayed flight. The staff was friendly and helpful, the lobby was bright and clean. When we got to our room, we were shocked at how large the room was, given the location near Times Square, and what we had heard from others about room sizes in New York City. The room was spacious and we were very happy to have a king-sized bed. We also noticed right away how quiet the room was. The location was fantastic, very convenient for museums and theatre, and also subway about a block away.”

• It was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly roomy. Friendly staff.
• Breakfast area could be a bit larger.

“We stayed in 4 different hotels during our stay in NYC and this was our favorite. The room was surprisingly large and quiet considering we were only on the 2nd floor. It was clean and comfortable and cool. We would definitely stay here again. The continental breakfast in the morning was very good offering a great variety, just a bit crowded. We were able to check our bags with no problems and received nothing but friendliness and helpfulness from the staff.”

“You can hear everything going on in the rooms above below and around you and the hallway noise is terrible. The room is very nice, good remodel, bed was cozy not as nice as Hyatt The noise was so bad I woke up to it at 2am. There was a big group of teenagers staying there and they were up all hours of the night. You could here them out there over the television noise.”

• I liked the location and the modern decor.
• The walls are very thin and I could hear every word my neighbor said.

“The hotel was clean and in a great location. The decor was very classy for that type of hotel. Although the bathroom was dirty when I checked in, the cleaning staff cleaned it right after I called. The breakfast was very nice as well.”
