“The room was clean and comfortable although dated and worn. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. Food prices in hotel are very high. In-room internet connection charge is outrageously high; very inconvenient for business travelers.” Nov 26, 2009 by
Dn from Clinton,CT
“Hotel is old and tired. Great location in NYC but not a great place to stay.” Nov 23, 2009 by
Mitch from Wayland,MA
“The hotel was great....clean and convenient to the sites in NY. Although the staff at the front desk wasn't overly pleasant, it didn't bother me. They gave me a room on the back side of the Hotel facing the services, but for the money I didn't mind.” Nov 18, 2009 by
Mike from Danbury,CT
“Everyone made our stay very pleasant. The guys at the concierge desk were fantastic! The bathrooms all over the hotel need a serious face lift!!! Get rid of the mold in the tubs on the silicone.” Oct 27, 2009 by
Takahiro from Erie,CO
“The location is very good but room was not so clean.” Oct 21, 2009 by
Jim from Smithfield,RI
“Dirty mess.” Sep 7, 2009 by

“The rooms were clean, beds very comfortable, and a perfect location in midtown Manhattan.” Sep 6, 2009 by
Shafeen from Calgary,Canada
“Hotel was no a four star hotel. It is located accross from Sheraton Manhattan so two Sheraton hotels are kiddy corner from eachother. The rooms are worse than a holiday in, old, well used and unclean. I was happy with the location and service though.” Sep 2, 2009 by
Donna from Saint John,IN
“The room was small, but sufficient for two. Could have been better in the vacuuming and daily room service. The bed was great - large and nice bedding. The tv also was large, so that was nice for those who like to climb into bed and watch some late night tv.” Sep 2, 2009 by
Jane from Victoria,Canada
“We had a great time staying in this hotel. It is very convenient as we are right in the Theater district.” Aug 31, 2009 by
Keith from Nashville,TN
“After three calls on two different days I gave up on the remote ever working. I was told it would be fixed, but it was not. On my last day I had called down to the front desk explaining that I had a conference call to take that morning for 30 minutes, and asked if they could stop whatever construction their was in the room next door. Nothing was ever done about it, and the noise was so bad I could not take my call.” Aug 30, 2009 by
Olivia from Plymouth,IN
“I would definitely stay here again. The location was great; easy to get a cab; close to many restaurants, and the theaters. Short walk to the subway system. Close to Radio City Music Hall.” Aug 28, 2009 by
Lee Ann from Avondale,PA
“The location of the hotel is it's greatest selling point The comfort of the bed was excellent as well. The room was clean, air conditioning worked well, and a nice sized flat screen TV was a plus. In addition, the access to computers in the lobby was a nice feature. Staff was pleasant and helpful.” Aug 28, 2009 by
Chloe from Vancouver,Canada
“We stayed at Sheraton Manhattan for 4 nights. The locations was really good, right in the heart of Midtown, near Times Square. It was being renovated while we're there so the restos were closed. The room we had was pretty basic and clean, but the room looked old. The bed was perfect though and the washroom was also good. We just didn't like it that the aircon didn't work well, we had to call the engineer to turn it on and the rest of the time, we had to experiment to turn it on again. The lamp we had at first didn't work so the housekeeper had to replace it. The staff were really helpful and friendly though that despite the problems we had at the room, they attended to us immediately.” Aug 26, 2009 by
James from Mississauga,Canada
“Hotel lobby is very nice with marble and dark wood. Came in late on a Friday evening and was immediately checked in to our expected room. Used the expert assistance of the concierge service on at least two or three occasions for directions or meal suggestions. Check-out was a breeze and there were no extra charges. Room was clean, although small, and had a nice sized plasma TV and a very comfortable bed with nice linens. Overall, very happy with this hotel as our choice for our first NYC visit.” Aug 26, 2009 by
Jerry from Toronto,Canada
“Price and location were good. Room amenities were not at the standard I expected. Beds were confortable.” Aug 24, 2009 by
Hanna from Mountain Home,TN
“Staff was friendly and the room clean. Starbucks coffee (regular and decaf) was provided w/ coffeemaker in the room. Bedding and bed was luxurious.” Aug 18, 2009 by
kathy from Hillsborough,CA
“The overall location was good and we spend most of time spend out side of hotel. The room was very dusty. The lobby stuff was very rude especially the manager in charge.” Aug 17, 2009 by
David from Dickinson,TX
“It seems very old, and outdated. Housekeeping didn't clean our room till about 3 O'clock everyday. A lot of construction noise...hotel repairs going on from 9-5. They said room service had been stopped for the summer.” Aug 16, 2009 by
Karen from Los Angeles,CA
“solid hotel. accommodating front desk and bag check-in.” Aug 13, 2009 by
Sara from Wynantskill,NY
“I was nervous about this hotel after reading other reviews but our stay was perfect! We had a nice king sized room on the 15th floor with a view. The staff was very accommodating to all of our requests, from holding our luggage to bringing us new batteries for our TV remote. The hotel was very clean and the staff very courteous and professional. We didn't hear any noise from neighboring guests as others have stated in their reviews. The computers in the lobby were a plus although we didn't get a chance to use them until very late at night. The only drawback was there was no room service and the restaurant was only open for breakfast. This only caused us to discover many wonderful nearby delis & cafes to eat at, in fact the Carnegie Deli is only a short walk from this hotel!” Aug 9, 2009 by
Faithanne from Dewitt,NY
“Great check in / out. Very friendly helpful people. They're nothing but friendly-welcoming! Bed linens were immaculate.” Aug 8, 2009 by
Nancy from Los Angeles,CA
“The rooms are very run down. There was a disgusting metal table next to bed I couldn't touch. Upholstery was torn on chair. This is inappropriate for 3.5star hotel-Sheraton. Wall paper peeling. Was switched to another room after 1 day. No chair in 2nd room - still peeling wallpaper, sink not draining properly. Nice staff. Very disappointed. Have stayed at hotel before -- when it wasn't run down.” Aug 3, 2009 by
Darlene from Winnie,TX
“Restaurant was closed for summer, no wash cloths, towels for hours, unfriendly when we ask to keep our bags when we checked out, had to change rooms because carpet was soaking wet. Just was not a good hotel to be a Sheraton in New York.” Jul 31, 2009 by
Marlene from Plattsmouth,NE
“The location was perfect for Times Square and Manhattan, in general. The staff was very helpful and hotel was clean. Only problem was remote for TV didn't work, the replacement we asked for worked off and on. Also, web site says rooms have docking station for Ipod, which they did not. We were not happy to find the restaurant in the hotel, Russo's, to be shut down for the summer. Overall, very satisfied.” Jul 26, 2009 by
Patricia from Citrus Heights,CA
“Location. Location. Location. This hotel offers a great location for a New York visitor. Our room was spacious and had a wonderfully comfortable bed. BUT -- The downside of this hotel is the lack of written information in the room to guide you through the amenities available and the locations. This may be an oversight for our particular room but staff members never attempted to correct the problem.” Jul 24, 2009 by
Larry from Ladson,SC
“The room/bath room was outdated. The beds were the best part of the whole stay!” Jul 19, 2009 by
from Farmington Hills,MI “A motel is for sure better than what they call them self hotel. The room is too old I thought I will become a deaf because of the noise inside the room. The A/C too noisy. The furniture too old and the wall is a complete joke.” Jul 19, 2009 by
Daryl from Toronto,Canada
“Needs work. Though it has a good location, there are very few perks to this hotel. The place is run down and needs a makeover badly. The carpets in the rooms are dirty and the wall paper is peeling. The walls are paper thin, and you will hear everything going on in your neighbor's room! The elevators are slow and dirty. We were on the 15th floor and often waited 5 minutes for the elevator. There was a nice pool, rare for hotels in this location. The staff was helpful and there was free internet access in the lobby, though you had to wait for computers to open up.” Jul 17, 2009 by
Bonnie from Sturgis,KY
“Greatly needs to be remodeled.” Jul 13, 2009 by
Terry from Brentwood,CA
“Great price from priceline and a great location for the Times Square area.” Jul 11, 2009 by
Niki from Cazenovia,NY
“All in all place was good, staff very friendly, lobby attractive, but the rooms needed a good cleaning, bathrooms could be updated a little.” Jul 11, 2009 by
Steve from Tampa,FL
“The lobby of the hotel was nice, the room size was good. The bed was very comfortable. The location was great. I was disappointed that there was mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom.” Jul 11, 2009 by
E A from Merrimack,NH
“I was pleasantly surprised at the size of my room and amenities. The lobby was a bit of a zoo but hey. Hotel seemed clean and staff was friendly.” Jul 4, 2009 by
Jerry from Sinking Spring,PA
“The Sheraton Manhattan Times Square is a nice, convenient hotel in the heart of the theater district. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The rooms are spacious and have the Star wood bed that is Jun 23, 2009 by
Nancy from Victoria,Canada
“The Sheraton Manhattan is safe, clean, well lit, and perfectly situated. The rooms are clean, soundproof, the proximity to shows, Times Square is ideal, the concierge staff was friendly, adept at directing us to all of the boroughs, including providing maps, multiple routes to and from the Sheraton. I would recommend both Priceline and the Sheraton Manhattan to family and friends.” Jun 18, 2009 by
Mimi from Gilbert,AZ
“This was the perfect room for a trip to NYC, not too stuffy for the business traveler like so many of the hotels. They were very friendly toward the kids and the fact that they had a pool, really set them apart.” Jun 13, 2009 by
Don from Brentwood Glen,CA
“Good value, safe central location, staff helpful.” Jun 13, 2009 by
Jeff from Albuquerque,NM
“You can't beat the location and the price I negotiated through Priceline was excellent, but, if this is a 3.5 star hotel well, I guess you earn your stars more easily in NYC than elsewhere. The room was below average and not very clean or well repaired. We had to call the desk to have the filter from the A/C unit put back in dust bunnies from the unit had fallen out and scattered all around the carpet. Someone had obviously tried to pry their way in through the door at some point and they hadn't repaired it. The door was secure, but just barely. The carpet was old, stained and the bathroom was tiny. The location is definitely the best thing about the hotel.” Jun 8, 2009 by
Lynn from Colorado Springs,CO
“Great location, comfortable beds.” Jun 8, 2009 by
Robin from Indianapolis,IN
“Location. Jun 6, 2009 by
Karen from Bloomer,WI
“Great location right in Times Square. Walking distance to lots of fun stuff. Other than the location the hotel was not too great. Same as any other hotel. The rooms needed some updating. The staff was friendly, helpful and the beds were better than most other hotels.” May 31, 2009 by
Lee from Arlington,VA
“The room was small but clean, and the location of the hotel excellent, so overall it was a good choice. My only disappointment was that I could not aces my e mail because the hotel's facilities in this regard were inadequate.” May 21, 2009 by
Ron from La Jolla,CA
“Great location; second stay there this year with priceline. Great value for the money.” May 18, 2009 by
Howard from Calgary,Canada
“The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The concierge appeared to be rude and should be replaced with more pleasant staff to give a more personal service. My room was located on the 10th floor that looked like it could use some renovations in the public areas off the elevator as well as in my room. The size of hotel room that I received was an adequate size although the bathroom was too small. For a hotel of this size the number of available internet stations on the main floor was inadequate.” May 17, 2009 by
Suelle Springs from Chesaoeake,VA
“Friendly service great location met my expectations.” May 17, 2009 by
Robert from Derby,CT
“We were very pleased with our hotel stay. The hotel pool, spa, sauna ,lobby and our room were very clean. Staff excellent Felt safe and comfortable.” May 16, 2009 by
James from Boston,MA
“Everything was pretty good, apart from the lock on the bathroom door missing.” May 15, 2009 by
Evan from Toronto,Canada
“A Red Roof Inn in the heart of Manhattan - clean, basic and cheap, in a great location. Unfortunately, the hotel was priced and sold as a 3.5 star property. The TV remote control didn't work. The corridors were dark and dreary, the lobby was congested, and the internet was poor or expensive. Numerous small negative touches gave the feel of a hotel more interested in cutting every corner than providing a three-plus-star experience. Horrible view out the window. My experience has substantially (negatively) impacted my opinion of the entire Sheraton brand.” May 14, 2009 by
Sean from Indian Trail,NC
“Great location, very clean and quiet the staff was great. Close to subways and every major tourist spot.”
