• Incredible customer service! They even called to make sure my experience was going well.
• I wish I didn't have to pull two all-nighters in a row for work - the bed was comfortable and I would have preferred to sleep!

“I had a great experience here. While I was initially frustrated that the USB port in the business center wouldn't read my jump drive (and I was late for a meeting!), I was immediately impressed with how readily the staff took my drive and simply printed out whatever I needed right at the front desk - without me asking. Then, I received a phone call just to make sure my stay was going well. The doorman gave me better subway directions than two NYPD officers. No complaints!”

• Nice style and size of room, great location.
• Bathroom had a touch of mold and water damage.

“You can't beat the location of this hotel! For a weekend in the theater district, this location is a dream. Staff was very friendly. Staff was the best I had seen in a long time! Location is excellent for several eateries to fit any budget. I would stay there again.”

• The bed! king size, very comfortable! Friendly staff, location, speedy elevators.

“The Hilton was great. We enjoyed the stay. Decent size room, king size bed was very comfortable. Clean bathroom, with great water pressure. Have stayed in New York 5 times and every other hotel had trouble with their elevators, at the Hilton they were perfect and fast. The staff was friendly and I felt safe there. Loved the location, close to restaurant row, and times square. Did not eat there so can't comment on the Pigalle.”

“Size of room was very nice. Was unaware of complimentary morning coffee bar in lobby until last day of my stay. Room furniture (chair & ottoman) was in need of a good cleaning. A little pricy.”

• Very convenient, clean and comfortable. Has amenities that some higher star hotels do not.
• Some of the front desk staff was rather indifferent. All other staff were excellent.

“We really enjoyed our stay! The price was more than competitive and after flying all night, we were given our room well before the 3 PM check-in time, allowing us to freshen-up and stow our goods before venturing out into the City. Thank You!”

• Room was large and the restaurant (Pigalle) was good.
• Walls were very thin. Could hearing talking from the next room. And the brick wall view from the window.

“The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service. Convenient location to Times Square and Broadway shows. Local calls should be free since the brick wall view effected cell phone signal in the room.”

• It was very clean and the staff was very friendly.
• It was a bit noisy, neighboring rooms could be heard through walls.

“The room wasn't large but it had a nice TV and Neutrogena bath products, which I appreciate. The location was very convenient for times square.”

• Very convenient to many locations and clean.
• Expensive - but not out of realm with other NYC hotels.

“We were very happy with this hotel! Would stay again for sure. Friendly staff, clean rooms, convenient to everything, Times Square, subway, and 9th St eateries, restaurant row on 46th, Broadway Shows, and the main tour bus stop.”

• Loved the guys who handled the lobby. Hotel was clean and nice.
• 8th avenue is a little sleazy. Concierge is not that helpful.

“It is a decent hotel, clean and nice, though not spectacular. While the location is convenient for going to the theatre, it is also a little sleazy and busy.”

• Could not get a room with two double beds, even though we called to request in advance.

“Most of the hotel staff was very friendly. The gentleman who checked us in was very short with us, but everyone else was very kind. The hotel is close to many amenities - Times Square, sightseeing buses, dining on 9th Avenue.”

• We have kids and they gave us one bed, when I even called to request two beds. This made it very uncomfortable.

“The hotel was, overall, fine. There were items under the bed and at the side of the bed from past guests that was never picked up. Not a big deal though. The location however was great. Our main concern was that we have kids and they only gave us one bed, even after I called and requested two beds. The kids ended up sleeping on the floor instead of a bed.”

• Very friendly, great price, very conveniently located.
• The restaurant was not good at all. The service there was ok but did not hold a candle to the service in the hotel. Major disconnect between the two.

“This hotel is very conveniently located and very clean. The price was wonderful considering the competition. For a 1st trip to NYC, we had a super experience. Only real complaints, our vehicle did not fit in the garage, which we did not know until we got there and the restaurant connected to the hotel was below average. Every other restaurant we visited was superb! The food in NYC was a wonderful experience, so the hotel restaurant probably bombed more than it should have, but it's hard to screw up breakfast and they did.”

• It was a few blocks from subway, but so is every other hotel.
• Everything. The hotel was old, outdated, not in the location I was expecting.

“Even thou it claims Times Square, it really technically is not. My room was very small. I could barely shut the door to the bathroom. Its very dated and it just looks really old and feels dirty.”

• Too loud for hubby and me- we are just a bit more mellow than this neighbor hood allows.

“Decent hotel. Much like a hotel you encounter while traveling across the country- except this one was in the middle of all the Times Square Area action. It was hip and happening, for sure.”

• Location to Landmarks, Friendly helpful staff, grocery store across the street.
• The parking garage location, the people using the garage.

“This is a hotel I would recommend to family and friends. The price was fair considering the location. Hilton Garden Inn was clean and the staff made our stay very comfortable. Being so close to Broadway and Time Square made the trip so easy to get to the landmarks that we wanted to visit by foot. Overall the hotel was the best property we could have chosen for vacation.”

• Hotel staff not friendly, rooms not cleaned thoroughly, paper thin walls, noisy at night.

“Hotel located in strategic 8th Ave., 3 blocks away from 5th Ave. However when we checked in clerk at reception desk was not friendly. During the night we could hear the slamming of doors and I believe security personnel with walkie talkies right outside our room. On the first night we ordered pizza and the pizza box was still in the room after it was cleaned on the second night. I put the box in the trash and on the third day it was cleared.”

• The front desk staff were very helpful when giving directions to nearby sites!
• There was really nothing that I didn't like about the hotel.

“I feel that the overall experience was outstanding! The room was very comfortable. The concierge was extremely helpful at giving us directions to the sites that we wished to visit. At night there was a security guard that was checking our room keys to ensure that no one that didn't belong there didn't get in. That was an added sense of security for us.”

“Overall - great value. I was able to secure 2 rooms for a total of $62 taxes included! At that rate, I almost could not believe that it would be as good as the other reviews said it would be. But I was wrong. Great location, accommodating staff, clean and modern rooms (flat screen, free Internet access, etc). I would definitely recommend it for the price!”

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to be near the center of Manhattan and can walk to many of the main sights and theaters. The restaurant at the hotel serves great breakfasts. The hotel is clean, up to date, comfortable, and you get a good nights sleep. Very friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely stay there again!”

“The room was very "New York"- from the view out the window to the style of furniture to the pictures on the wall. The bed was wonderful, and the desk chair was so comfy. It's a super place to stay in midtown!”
