• The hotel was convenient to Times Square and Transportation.
• Outlandish charges to use the internet (6.95 for 15 min) at hotel business center.

“Overall, the hotel was efficient and friendly. The rooms were smaller but clean with limited seating other than the bed. Prices in the hotel at bar, gift shop, service center, and restaurant were exorbitant compared to the same options in the near vicinity. I could not believe the fees for the physical fitness center either. Check out was smooth as was check in with the online receipt. They never gave me access to the in-room bar which was just as well because I saw the prices.”

“This hotel is in the perfect location. The staff was very polite and helpful. The rooms were quiet. The beds very comfy. The shower felt great. Even the people at the garage were nice when I went to self park.”

• Right in the heart of activity and exceptional clean and nice.

“The Westin had the most courteous and helpful staff. Our room was perfect, comfortable beds, nice bath and fantastic views! We wanted for nothing, it was all right there and it was all perfect! We had a wonderful stay!”

• The cleanliness and frugal decoration of the room.
• Personnel at front desk is terrible. You can't have customers treated the way they did at a four star hotel. Internet is terrible.

“If you do not need internet all day and fast, and if you do not care about the bad manners and inexperience of the staff at the front desk and elsewhere, I would say it is a well located hotel, with the advantage that it is very clean throughout -- many four star hotels in NYC are not that clean.”

• The staff was very friendly. The Place was very clean.
• A light was out in our bathroom.

“The hotel was well situated in the Times Square section of Manhattan. While the lobby was very modern and clean, I felt the room was small and the furnishings on the sparse side. Still, it was a very clean & comfortable room, would recommend the hotel to others.”

“Terrific location for the after goers. Friendly, efficient staff. Spacious, clean, well-appointed room. Only negative was lack of soundproofing. we could hear other toilets flushing, doors closing, conversations, etc.”

• Tasteful, serene lobby, well appointed and gorgeously designed rooms.
• Lobby bar very really drab.

“A mood oasis in the middle of the brash clutter of Times Square. Beautiful textures on the walls insulate the rooms and public spaces. High ceiling lobby is subdued and wide open, a nice contrast to the congestion outside.”

• The staff was fantastic and very helpful with information about the Times Square area.
• The room was clean, but not to the best of it's ability. The sheets were iffy.

“For anyone who wants to be near Times Square and mid-town, it is ideal. Not as noisy as hotels nearer the square, but very convenient. Easy to get cabs on 8th Avenue.”

“The location was great. The staff was great. The only complaint was that the Heavenly Bed was not as nice as I remember. My mattress at home is more comfortable. The pillows needed to be updated as well.”

“Beautiful, elegant hotel. Beds were very comfortable and the room had nice lighting and furniture (not too much or too little). Bathroom was beautiful with marble/slate but counter space was sparse. Does require 30 minutes notice to retrieve car from Valet, so be prepared.”

“This hotel is so convenient to everything Time Square has to offer. The movie theater backs up to the hotel and you don't have to leave the hotel to go to the theater just take the escalator up and walk around to the theater entrance. The hotel is very close to the subway station. I would definitely stay here again!”

• Room was fabulous. Bed was extremely comfortable.
• We found staff could not answer simple question about area.

“We found this hotel to be ideally located for our trip to the Theatre district. Our room was beautiful and clean. We were pleasantly surprised to find a treadmill and exercise equipment located in the room. Bathroom amenities were amble and bathrobe was a great touch.”

“Very modern 4 star establishment with all amenities one would expect. Immaculate housekeeping. Expensive internet access. Perfect location for getting around Manhattan, however very busy, congested neighborhood - but once in the hotel, very comfortable and quiet.”

• Cesar at the check-in. He was very hospitable, always spoke and welcoming.
• I saw a lady collapse in the lobby by the Theater Concierge and he didn't move! The regular concierge responded to her needs.

“Excellent location, friendly welcoming personnel, and lower lobby is well traveled but upstairs is very comfortable. The room was very nice, wonderful bed and pillows. The shower head is too big for the small shower/tub. Excellent value for a 4+ property.”

• Everything was great.

“The staff was really friendly. The hotel is located one block from Time Square and very quiet. You can escape the lights and noise of Time Square in a serene heavenly bed. There is a movie Regal 12 Theater inside the hotel. B B King Bar and Restaurant with outstanding cuisine is located next to the hotel and across from Madam Tussaud Wax Museum. The Lion King is located one half block from the hotel.”

• The hotel is new and clean which is what I recommend if spending money for a Times Square Hotels.
• We were lucky to get a corner room with windows on half the rooms, no way every room has this view!

“It is a new hotel and so gives you every pennies worth. You can't have a bad room and if youre lucky like me you could get a great room with a view. Stay away from the older hotels because they look and feel their age! This hotel fits the bill in both location and quality. Stay away from Times Square hotels built in the 50s! The location and price of these hotels are convincing but they cannot escape being old, outdated, and small. These hotels make you feel like a chump shelling out loads of money on an older hotel.”

• The view from the hotel was not that great but the room was nice although slightly smaller than expected.

• Great for people who are obsessed with cleanliness. The hotel had no odors or dusty drapes perfect for us.
• The carpet in our room could have been cleaner.

“This hotel is great for chemical sensitive or asthmatic people. My husband and I are just generally picky when it comes to cleanliness and odors and we were pleased with the room other than the stains on the carpet. The carpet was not offensive otherwise. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. We will go out of our way to stay at this hotel again.”
