• Area was not too bad.
• Room was dirty towels and bathroom amenities were missing TV did not work.

travel to NYC monthly and stay at 4 star hotels including trump on central park west and westin is definitely not anywhere near 4 star it is dirty and when
I called front desk for missing amenities no one seemed to care. Also no hotel security at all.”

• Very clean rooms albeit small. Attentive staff.
• Location at Time Square can be difficult to access by car during peak periods.

“Very clean rooms. Excellent staff. Check-in and check-out was easy. Checked bags took awhile to get back at the end of the day. Although centrally located on Time Square, it can be very difficult to access by car due to the car and pedestrian traffic at peak periods. Bell attendants very helpful in getting taxis.”

• Great for anyone wanting to see Times Square and fun bar.
• Felt dark and a little depressing but comfortable in room.

“We had a room on the Hudson River side of the hotel, with some distance to the next building it was one of the best views we've had in the city! Great shower with double head, and roomy bathroom for New York. Very comfortable bed!”

• Location.
• Check in - room not ready until 6pm.

“Hotel is very good, great location and very good room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only one issue, we'd booked 2 rooms and only 1 was ready at check in. Problem eventually resolved by being given another room.”

• The ticket / theater person we talked to one day was rude, only negative!

“This hotel was amazing in all ways. They upgraded our room for free when we arrived. The staff was always pleasant from the moment we arrived till we left and in all areas of the hotel. The rooms were big and gorgeous and location and security was great as well!”

• Location was very close to Times square.
• We had some money go missing from our room.

“The hotel was situated very close to Times Square and Port Authority (for bus or subway). Rooms were a decent size considering you are in downtown Manhattan. Rooms were very clean and well appointed. We had some problems with our in room safe and did unfortunately have some money go missing from our room. Security is currently investigating our loss - time will tell.”

• Location.
• Stained carpet in the room.

“This hotel is a couple blocks from Times Square. The hotel room size was excellent by NYC standards (was offered larger room without a view), but the room decor was quite dated and in average condition at best. Staff seemed minimal, and more often than not there was no one at the concierge desk. (Not sure if there was a bell to ring) Compared to other 4 star hotels I have stayed at (not in NYC), this would not measure up. However, the stay was comfortable and without incident.”

• The location was very good; good food nearby; clean rooms.

• The room was upgraded to a spacious corner room that was very upscale.
• We were very pleased with everything about the hotel.

“This hotel was very upscale and extremely close to the action of Broadway and Times Square yet out of the hustle. We also felt very safe at all times. The staff were all very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to future guests wanting to be near everything but not overwhelmed by it.”

• stylish, quiet in heart of city
• Check-in was at 3 - room not ready until 4:30 ---waiting for room took a large bite out of our schedule

“Everything was great with the exception of check-in. In addition to long lines, our room was not ready on time. We had to check back several times. Fortunately, we didn't have anything scheduled that couldn't wait. Also iron and desk light were not working.”

• You get what you expect with a Westin, but nothing over the top.
• I expected a little more luxury.

“Nice hotel, close to Times Square (a block and half off). The common areas are nice, but not over the top. The room is nice, clean and comfortable, but again, not over the top. I would recommend for a good price, but don't expect luxury. Expect nice, but not quite luxury. Internet is available, but for $15/day.”

• Easy to hear noise in the hallway and other rooms.

• It is in Times Square which is really crowded when you walk out the door.

“Great hotel. Gave us a corner room for a very low price windows on 2 sides. Check in/out was fast. Had trouble getting extra pillows - took over an hour and was told they only had one left. Otherwise, a stellar experience.”

“Staff was friendly from the time we arrived and they assisted us with our luggage until we checked out. They provided the room we requested and a roll-away bed for our daughter. Concierge was very helpful assisting us to find the shows we were looking for.”

• Location was perfect.

“The Westin was wonderful and much nicer than we expected. The room was comfortable when we checked in, although the temperature seemed a bit warm and it took us a while to figure out how to cool it off. Considering how close we were to Times Square, the room was quiet. Check out was swift. Again we were able to store our bags for the afternoon until it was time to catch our train.”

• All amenities were too expensive (food, internet, etc.).

“The food was too expensive. The internet was spotty and pricey. The staff was less than friendly and knowledgeable. The public spaces were not welcoming and everything is very claustrophobic. The location was good though.”

• The bed was very comfortable and the location was central.
• The room was too institutionalized. They were going for modern, but it was like sleeping in an office.

“This was our first time staying at a Westin (we've stayed at other 4 star hotels in NYC). The Westin Time Square is great because of its central location - literally a few blocks from Time Square, right next to Broadway, and a short walk to the shops on 5th Avenue. The hotel staff was personable and upgraded us to a corner room with a view. The bed was comfortable (a king with down comforter); the bathroom was nice (with a double shower jet). What we did not like (traveling from DC for a romantic weekend away") was that the room was very institutionalized.”
