“It is a nice hotel, but some floors obviously need updating. The conveniences needed for a business traveler, like wireless internet and easy to access outlets were not available. Also, the bathroom had no counter space and for a multi day trip, this was a challenge.”

• The staff was courteous and helpful. They knew the city and were able to help us find where we wanted to go.
• It took a while to get our luggage that was stored. The refrigerator was full of expensive food. We would have liked an empty one for leftovers!

• The room was very upscale, cool colors, WONDERFUL bed, great view, very quiet, all stainless steel BR, and cool shower.
• The woman checking us in at the front desk could have been more pleasant- seemed like she was having a bad day.

“Everything was great. Rooms and all facilities are well kept, clean, great views and wonderful beds! Very cool Bathrooms as well. All staff very pleasant except for check in woman- she was having a bad day!”

“Westin at TSQ is clean, nice and seems only 4-5 years old. But the restaurant is very expensive, internet connection costs money while motel 6 doesn't charge for it. Concierge marks up the tickets to the activities without telling you unless you ask. Friendly staff try to make up for not so friendly ones.”

• The view, we were in a corner room and had windows all around us, it was nice!
• The staff could have been a little friendlier, but it wasn't horrible.

“This is a wonderful hotel no matter what your reason is to be traveling to New York. The rooms were big and comfortable. Nice size bathroom and awesome shower. Close to Subway and one block to Times Square. Nice experience.”

“The location of the hotel was excellent, The views were amazing and the best part was that after moving to a small town form NY I was able to open the window from the 29th floor and hear the street noise that I so miss.”

• Contemporary clean rooms with lots of space. Central location.
• Extra charges for internet use.

“Pros: Very spacious, room, slate bathroom complete with robe and dual showerheads. Large HD flat screen TV and desk area. Free use of coffeemaker and safe. Lots of storage space for travel clothes. Convenient Times Square location with a couple of secret entrances. Direct access to the theatres (just ask the concierge). Comfy beds. One block from Subway. Cons: Extra charge for internet, extra charge for gym. At least give me one of them for free! Very expensive for any room service, but that's to be expected. Just run downstairs to the street and get whatever you want, it's all open late!”

• The locations was great and the staff friendly. The shower head rocked!
• The small fridge was not cold and the items in it too expensive.

“Our stay was wonderful. The subways are right on the corner and we were centrally located to everything. We had a great time and the double shower head in the bathroom was refreshing.”

• Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and HUGE rooms.
• Added charges for phone calls, etc that arent disclosed up front. You have to know to ask or wait and see on your bill.

“My boyfriend and I had a lovely few days at the Westin. The hotel was super quiet. We ate at the steak house one night and loved it. Great steak and crab Mac and cheese. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They provided us with an extra fridge for cold drinks we bought on our own. The rooms were very room and the bed was HUGE and so very comfy. The bathroom was also very big with a double shower head. Next time shopping around for hotels we will definitely check out the Westin.”

• The hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel was very modern and the beds were wonderful.
• We loved everything.

“We arrived at the hotel early and our room was ready they even up graded our room when we got there. The hotel was in a great location, just a few blocks to time square. They have a great mexican rest. In the hotel along with a movie theatre. The rooms were just perfect and very clean. The room was big for a NYC hotel room. The staff at the hotel could not have been better.”

• Newer, clean hotel. Very nice decor and comfortable beds. Great location.
• This hotel charged for almost every "convenience" and the walls were so thin you could easily hear neighbors in the next room.

“Although centrally located, with nice, newer decor, and comfy beds, this "luxury" hotel doesn't mind charging extra for some of the conveniences that most of us expect when we travel-high-speed internet access in the room, internet access in the business PC center, etc. And there is no complimentary breakfast included. We can't even comprehend paying regular prices (around $382+/night) and then having to pay extra for everything else!”

“The Westin Times Square was located close to everything in Times Square but is on a side street not facing the main drag. The hotel was very clean, modern, and upscale. The heavenly bed was wonderful! The hotel also had a movie theatre in it. They didn't charge for bag storage like the hotel we stayed in the night before but they did charge for internet access. I would highly recommend this hotel.”

“Fantastic Times Square location. Outstanding pillow top beds. Due to a shortage of maids, we had to wait an hour for our room. Without asking, the hotel gave us a $60 food and beverage credit.”

• We had an awesome 44th floor corner room with windows looking north and east.
• I have nothing negative to say about the hotel.

• Convenient location, nice staff, no problems at check in and check out, good view, big room.
• The people next door were very loud, and we could hear everything. The extras (minibar etc.) Were very expensive so we did not use them.

“The location of the Westin Times Square can't be beat. I stayed in the hotel on 2 separate night within a 4 day period. The overall experience, the first evening was exceptional. The second time was disappointing. The staff wasn't helpful and weren't willing to communicate. We were given a room at 8 PM, much later than the check-in time.”

• I asked for high floor, on 30th floor with unobstructed view of Hudson River.
• Housekeeping did not leave washcloths, robe.

“This Westin hotel is in a good, secure location near Times Square convenient to a drug store (to buy incidentals), restaurants, and the subway. It was quieter than we expected (inside and out) but this may be partially due to the fact that we had a room on the 30th floor (of 45 floors). The room was clean and the beds were above-average comfortable. Overall, it exceeded our expectations. We would stay here again.”

• I enjoyed the cleanliness of the room and the fast check-in and check-out.
• The rooms surrounding mine were very noisy early in the morning.

“The Westin was a great find for our one-night stay in NYC. The room was very clean and comfortable. The encounters with the hotel staff were friendly. The only thing that turned me and my sister off was the strange and loud noises coming from surrounding rooms early in the morning. I realize that some of the noise was from the street below (which is to be expected in the busy, Times Square area). But, it sounded like someone was running on a treadmill in the room above us at 530 a.m.! I know that the Westin offers "exercise" equipped rooms, so it's very possible. If you are planning a stay at the Westin, and you like to sleep-in, ask where, in relation to your room, the hotel gym and the exercise suites are.”

• Definitely one of the best I have ever stayed at in NYC. Upscale, modern, great staff and very good room sizes.
• Didn't get our breakfast order correct but it was still tasty.

“This hotel is not only one of the most beautiful buildings on the exterior but far exceeded our expectations on the inside. The lobby area was clean and modern with a beautiful finish out. The rooms were large for NY standards and were very well done. The staff was attentive and took care of everything we requested in a timely manner. Will definitely be back!”

• It is probably just a difference in taste but, I was not impressed with the decor in the room.

“I would absolutely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. I will be making reservations again very soon! My interaction with the staff was a wonderful experience, from the front desk to the bar man to security everyone was pleasant.”

• The staff was friendly but did not interact unless asked a question. They were efficient.
• The concierge gave us wrong Subway directions to the museum and was somewhat brusque but this was the only person like that.

“The hotel is clearly geared towards business stays but we still had a great time. It is one block down from the Center of Times Square and was perfectly located to walk to all kinds of stores, cultural sites and major TV businesses! We'd do it again in a heartbeat.”

• Pretty much everything other than the brand.

“Was expecting a lot more from Westin! They took over 30 mins to get my luggage to the room, executive club lounge was dark and tired, and breakfast was not impressive either! Paper Starbucks coffee cups in the room and they charge you extra for the gym! Not very impressed..”
