• The room was big.

• The bed was very comfortable. Nice view of the Empire State Bldg.
• There was not enough shelf space in the bathroom/shower.

“Overall great experience. The sky lobby concept was a little weird. You enter the hotel on ground level but have to an elevator up 20 or so floors to get to the lobby. Then after checking in, you have to take another elevator to your room. The room was huge by NYC standards. There wasn't enough counter or shelf space in the bathroom to put things down. Those are the only complaints we had.”

“Our room was not being cleaned properly during our stay. They left dirty dishes from room service in our bathroom the entire stay (2 days). The room did not have a dresser to unload our suitcases. We took things out of our suitcases as we needed a change of clothing.”

• Very convenient to all Broadway theaters and many restaurants.
• Had to go around the block to find valet to take the car in very heavy traffic area.

• Wasn't sure which street the entrance was on, the door man.

“The location was ideal for the Theater District. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable. The desk provided adequate work space if needed. The brunch in the morning was very good with a lot of variety.”

“Location can't be beat, literally two right turns off the Lincoln tunnel to the hotel door at Time Square, a great base to explore New York with well appointed, very quiet rooms. Tubs/showers could use some updating, but the large flat screen TV's were wonderful.”

• No safe in the room and the bathroom door always seemed to be in the way (towels).

• Great location, helpful, knowledgeable staff. clean. I would (and have already) recommend this hotel.
• The phones did not work in our room. It made it impossible to communicate with room service and the front desk.

“We were very happy with the location of this hotel. We always felt safe and the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The phone in our room did not work. It made it impossible to get room service and difficult to call for our car or a bellman. Our room was clean and very comfortable. I would stay again. soon, I hope”

• The rooms were excessively quiet, clean with very comfortable beds. One of the best night's sleep I ever had in NYC.

• Hard to get to the lobby - concierge disappeared a few times.

• It took me 30 mins to get my internet connection working. Nothing else to complaint about.

“I got it 3 days before arriving and I cancelled a previous reservation. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. The view was stunning. Perfect for families or business travelers like me.”

• Shortage of wine glasses. Could only borrow from lobby bar. Would like to have a fridge that I could use.

• Hilton Times Square has spacious rooms, wonderful beds, pillows and luxurious towels.
• Food and drink is outrageously expensive.

“My daughters and I enjoyed the spacious room with very comfortable double beds and pillows. The room and bath were well appointed and very clean. There were lots of luxurious towels and we enjoyed the complementary chocolates and bottled water. I recommend this hotel highly for location, comfort and cleanliness. Skip the food and drink. They are much too expensive for this 4-star hotel.”

• Nice bedding and great view.
• Entry to hotel is time consuming, a couple of bad apples on doorman staff.

“Our room on the 29th floor was freshly decorated and the king bed as well as the uptown view were both excellent. Most staff were friendly and helpful with a couple of exceptions. The location is very convenient, but it can be a somewhat noisy hotel in a noisy area of Manhattan packed with tourists. Getting to the lobby via elevator from street level was annoying at times.”

“The staff was very friendly and accomodating. They were more than happy to offer us a king bed instead of a full, which the reservation was for. The bedding was comfortable. The bar lobby area and rooms were very clean. The location was perfect! We could walk to theatres and restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay here again.”

• The location was convenient and every main attraction was in walking distance.
• The staff was not friendly enough. I have traveled to New York many times and have stayed at other hotels and received better service elsewhere.

“The location was great but if you are looking to get a nice drink at the end of the day before heading out to a show make sure you leave enough time. At the bar in the lobby it took a good 10 minutes or so to get someone's attention and that was only because I got tired of sitting at the table waiting. Once I went to the bar their was absolutely no eye contact when I ordered my and my friends drink and got a quick, you are sitting at the table right completely brushing me off before I could even order my appetizer. Once the drinks came we ordered an appetizer and waited for about 15 minutes before I had to tell the waiter that if it was going to take longer to forget it because my friend and I needed to catch a show. We had just ordered a dip with chips nothing that should take a long time to make. The bar area was not so busy and there were 2-3 staff members working it and the service was terrible. I have been to New York City many times and have to say that I would never stay here again. It's so important that when a guest has been out all day walking or shopping that they have a place where they can sit for a minute with a drink, relax, and regroup.”

“The hotel was great. The room next door (adjoining door) was horrible. The people were very loud from midnight until 5:30 a.m. I was exhausted. Security coming up at 2 a.m. did little to stop them.”

• It was very quiet considering the location!
• There was a constant noise of water running in the bathroom.

“Extremely convenient location in the middle of the action. Very quiet, comfortable, spacious rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely eat the breakfast buffet at the restaurant rather than ordering room service, which is very expensive!”

• The fact that getting to street level requires ride on two different elevators could be a problem for some guests.

• The hotel was ideally situated in Times Square. We could conveniently access the subway, restaurants and different areas of the city.
• They had two sets of elevators to access the floors. Construction on gym made it inaccessible.

“It was overall a great experience. The staff did a great job at rushing when they realized we might be late for our flight home.”

• For NYC, I know it was nice - just don't compare it to other cities.

“This was a great hotel in an amazing location. You just need to remember that it's NYC, and you don't get what you would expect. It would just be an average hotel somewhere else, but in NYC, it's fantastic.”

• The location was near my work.
• I struggle to believe this was ever a 4 star hotel, and I can say that it is definitely not one now.

“I find it amazing that this hotel was in the same rating as the other 4 star hotels that I've stayed at (Marriott Marquis, Royalton, Meridian). The hotel is run down. The service was very bad. The room quality and amenities were much closer to what I'd expect from a 2.5 or 3 star hotel.”

• Charged for local telephone calls.

“I stayed two nights with my daughter-in-law and 10-year-old granddaughter and had a wonderful stay. This is a great location for sight seeing. Within easy walking distance of theatre district and 10 - 15 minutes walking distance of many major attractions. It's also convenient to City Sights (sightseeing tours) starting location and to public transportation. The room was comfortable, clean and well-appointed and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We didn't eat at the hotel (too expensive) but there are plenty of eateries close by - an Appleby's next door, a MacDonald's a few doors away and a Cold stone Creamery right across the street. Also loads of restaurants around the corner on Broadway.”

• Surprising quiet even though it's in the middle of the theater district.
• Ground floor unattractive and there was No signage to locate the main lobby.

“It's a fun place for a family vacation to the Big Apple. The front desk was friendly. The hotel is located in a hectic area of NYC, so don't expect to walk out of the hotel and take a leisurely walk or quick jog.”
