Doug from Alamo,CA
“If location and cost are your two greatest influences then this is the hotel for you. This was extremely convenient for visiting the sites of midtown Manhattan (Madison Square Garden, Empire State Building, Times Square, Rockefeller Center), and was much less expensive then almost all of the other hotels located similarly. However, the rooms are dark and very spartan, and the bathrooms are slightly cramped.” Sep 28, 2009 by
Karl from Fairfax,VA
“Great location. Easy to book with Priceline. Will stay there again.” Aug 24, 2009 by
Owen from Clarksburg,MD
“It was in a great location for attractions, broadway show, central park, staff nice and accomadating, except in night when tried to call guest service no one answered.” Aug 20, 2009 by
Al from Yonkers,NY
“Perfect location at affordable price. Staff makes up for what the venue is a bit lacking. Thankful to Priceline for getting me in when I needed it at the price I wanted!” Jun 21, 2009 by
Corry from Howard Beach,NY “The room was dirty, dusty. The paint in the bathroom over the showers was peeling away. The porcline in the tub was chipped away. The towels were hard and rough Jun 21, 2009 by
Dave from Lebanon,PA
“Every time I passed through the lobby there was a line to check in. I stood in line for over 45 minutes when I checked in. Besides that everything was up to par.” Apr 18, 2009 by
Stella from East Brunswick,NJ
“Great location. If you like hotel rooms that are bright and new you would not like this hotel. Rooms are very old and outdated for the movie you spend add an extra twenty and stay at e newer hotel” Mar 31, 2009 by
Michael from Washington,DC
“Generally great experience. No data cable for my data port. Not a good start to our stay when we had to wait half an hour to check in wondering if we were going to make our show on time. The lobby cafe had great coffee.” Mar 26, 2009 by
George from Woodbridge,VA
“Execellent Location if you want to see NYC. Within walking distance to Times Square, Central Park and so close to Madison Square Garden you could throw a rock and hit it. The rooms a little small so leave the kids at home if you can. Great for a romantc getaway.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Ansley
“The lobby is nice, the elevators were nice. After that is was all down hill. The hallways were drab and dirty paint on the walls, the room doors were beat-up and old. The room interior was depressing, dirty walls, old beat-up furniture, holes in the walls, and a very old and dated bathroom. The AC did not work but maintenance did get if working quickly. The location was good and convienent.” Mar 27, 2007 by
Ryan from Upper Darby, PA
“Good spot.” Mar 27, 2007 by
Cathleen P. from East Petersburg, PA
“Great location. Use it just for sleeping.” Feb 18, 2007 by
Wanda from Pikesville, MD
“My friend and I stayed at this hotel because of the proximity to the Train station and Madison Square Garden. We were not disappointed. The hotel was clean even though they were accommodating pets who were there for the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. It didn't smell doggy. I would stay there again.” Feb 16, 2007 by
Cynthia from Stratford, CT
“I stayed at the hotel Pennsylvania for the famous Westminster dog show across the street at Madison square garden. The hotel and staff truly went above and beyond to ensure the comfort and happiness of both its human and canine guests. Though it is an older building in need of modern updates, you can't get better location or value for what you pay in an expensive city like nick. If what you are looking for is just a comfortable room, I recommend this hotel. If you are traveling with pets, this is one of the best hotels you will find anywhere!” Jan 21, 2007 by
Carrol from San Jose, CA
“For an overnight, it's fine. It's convenient, but gets a lot of groups and families and can be noisy, the lobby crowded.” Nov 22, 2006 by
Greg from Nazareth, PA
“It was nothing that it was promised to be. And there was nothing the staff was willing to do about it. The room was extremely hot and was very tight with the position of the furniture.” Aug 2, 2006 by
Sergio from Philadelphia, PA
“Good choice if you look for a great location for budget tourism.” Jul 3, 2006 by
Michael from Atlanta, GA
“Rooms were small but efficient. Prices were high but cheap for NYC. Location is the biggest draw - Manhattan at Penn Station.” Jun 16, 2006 by
Gaylan from Sacramento, CA
“If you're looking for a heavy dose of nostalgia this is the place for you.” Jun 13, 2006 by
Carrie K. from Miami, FL
“The room looked like something out of a night mare. The room smelled bad (odor) the rug was wet and stained. The linen was dirty with hair all over it (gray and thin) the wall had big holes in it. Their were no covers over the outlets. The wall paper was peeling all over the room. It was bad! bad! We had to change rooms. The second room was not much better. I requested my money back but was refused.” May 22, 2006 by
Robert from Beaufort, SC
“Generally the Hotel is pleasant, and well situated. Since the rooms are a bit small it's great for a couple, but not so great if you got a couple of kids with you, as the beds are small also. The parking is a separate charge from the room, and expensive.. that kind of blows it for you.”
