• The view from the top floors was great.
• Hotel is hard to get in and out of being Downtown and it is under construction.

“Hotel under construction (9-5) so better for business traveler. $48 a day to park so take a taxi to hotel.”

• The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was large enough for our family of 5.
• The tile surrounding the pool was treacherous, very slippery and dangerous.

• While we had a few hotel related problems during our stay, the staff responded quickly and efficiently.
• We had problems with the TV remote, telephone, the bedcover, internet connection in our room & nonstop construction outside of the hotel.

“The common areas and the rooms had an upscale decor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had various issues that came up with the room but the staff quickly addressed them. As the hotel is located right next to ground zero, there was continuous construction traffic and noise around the hotel. As our room was higher up, the noise did not keep us up. The hotel is in a great location for easy access to so many different subway lines it made traveling to all parts of Manhattan.”

• The Millennium Hilton was a fabulous hotel of elegance and sophistication.
• The noise from the construction at Ground Zero, but it will all be worth it.

“The Millennium Hilton is a great hotel. We were on the 25th floor over looking Ground Zero which was amazing. The room was sophisticated with comfort a high priority. We were close to many sights in the Financial District and a short subway ride to everything else New York has to offer. Overall a great experience.”

• Nice room, very clean, great TV.
• Noise from construction site, so-so, overpriced breakfast.

“This is a fine facility with good people, but it has the misfortune of overlooking WTC site with late night construction noise. Good faith effort was made to put us on high floor, windows relatively sound-proof, so with room fan on we were able to sleep ok. Subway less than a block away and walk able to SoHo. Big flat-screen TV facing comfy bed. Nice indoor pool, reasonable fitness room. Breakfast so-so and overpriced. No obvious places to eat near hotel in morning.”

“First time I stayed in this section of NYC, I guess I would call it the business district, directly across from Ground Zero. Good shopping within walking distance and easy to get around. Century 21 Department store adjacent and a must-visit for any clothes shopper. We did China Town, the Brooklyn Bridge, an off-Broadway Play, and the Tenement Museum from this hotel. Would stay there again but like trying new places.”

• Excellent view from the 47th floor of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges.
• Charges you for Internet and workout room.

“Excellent hotel and location, right next to stops at Fulton St-Nassau-Broadway for all sorts of trains. Staff was excellent, we had a red-eye from Phoenix and we got to the hotel at around 7:30 am and we were dead tired, they had a room open and let us check in which was a life-saver. We took a great power nap and were on to Manhattan. Thankfully, they also have the concierge service to hold your bags when you check-out so you can enjoy more time in NY before you fly back. Checkout was easy, just dropped off my cards and I was done. As for the room, pretty spacious, everything was comfortable. Nice Plasma TV, but could have HD but it didn't bother me. Shower was nice, had plenty of hot water. Walls were clean, bed was comfortable and the chairs were also comfortable. Very quiet on our floor. I will definitely hope to get the Millennium Hilton again.”

“This is by far one of the best Hotel's I've ever stayed at. Being located in the financial district it had many great sights, amenities, means of transportation, and the most helpful and friendliest staff I've ever encountered. I'll never stay at any other Hotel when I visit NYC. Just remember to empty the piggy bank before you come, the gift shop and food and drinks are extremely expensive.”

• The location and the atmosphere. Also the bed and bathroom towels.
• We were unaware that the floor we were on was being renovated.

“In general this hotel is well located. Its' lobby is not the most welcoming but the staff were friendly. In fairness to the traveler the hotel should have let him know about internal renovations.”

• Front desk guy was not helpful in solving a luggage request, poor attitude.

“Great room, location and wonderful views. Front desk staff member totally unhelpful with a request to help us with a luggage request. Also poor attitude overall considering it is a 4 star and was not at all busy. Left us with a very bad feeling about the Hilton.”

• Had huge problems getting email. They are not wireless. The IT guy messed up my settings.

“Nice Hotel & Very friendly, polite staff. They say it ends at 5 pm, try midnight. Starts at 5 am. Not wireless in rooms. IT tried to help but not really. Messed up my settings. Couldn't get email and had a lot of work to do via the internet. They are called Millennium Hilton. They need to get with the program.”

• Bar did last call way too early, 1st home Yankee game and lots of people in bar way to early to close. Location is finance district, so no where to go.

“Location in finance district a little remote for fun night at end of biz trip. With all construction hard to get to valet a little confusion. Rooms excellent had view over ground zero could see all new construction. Was not noisy while we were their. Did not like that bar held to last call schedule. Odd for first home Yankee game and there are no other bars close to walk to.”

• Well, personally the proximity to the Towers is disconcerting, but it didn't affect the guests for whom I booked this.

• The rooms were very modern, updated.
• Area is very congested due to construction at ground zero. Parking limited and expensive.

“I like the hotel a lot. Room was small (usual for NYC) but nice. My window faced directly over WTC ground zero which was creepy but also something I'm glad I was able to see. Such tragedy right there but rebuilding is inspiring. Parking is off the side street, not on the main street address side of property. I would stay there again.”

• Error on bill for mini bar (we did not use). Insanely expensive and low quality breakfast buffet ($52 for 2 people - and no eggs!).

• Food in restaurant was average.

• This is the second time we stayed here. Its a bit sad being next to the WTC site so we asked for a room without a view of it this time.

“When I called ahead to ask the front desk for a room with two double beds for my daughters birthday evening they said they would try. She said they gave her a wonderful large corner room with two double beds.”

“Nice, new, clean. Enjoyed watching the construction of the WTC memorial out of the window of our room. Would recommend this to others, but not for routine sightseeing because of the distance from the downtown area. Wish hotel restaurant were a little less expensive.”

• I really enjoyed the customer service of the hotel. They made me feel very cared for and safe.
• No exhaust fan in the bathroom. What's that about?

“The Millenium Hilton is beautiful hotel with a friendly staff. The hotel located in the Financial District which is close to Ground Zero, South Ferry, Wall Street, and various other sites. There are multiple subway stations around the hotel which makes transportation a breeze. The hotel itself is beautiful. From the outside, the hotel is a black glass tower that juts over 50 stories into the sky. The inside has an expansive lobby with a nice bar. Once we checked in we took the express elevator to our room. The room had a nice king size bed and all of the amenities that one would need. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan, which was kind of odd, but other than that it was a great room. We looked out onto Ground Zero and the Hudson river beyond it. Finally, the customer service was wonderful. When you call the front desk they answer the phone with your last name and try as hard as they can to accommodate you. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the Financial District of NY.”

• Excellent location, spectacular views, very comfortable.
• $6 snickers and $7 peanuts.

“Excellent hotel for a business or leisure traveler to Manhattan. Right at Ground Zero, very close to subway, staff is very knowledgeable and will help you get around. Do not drive, as parking is pricey, but the room is comfortable, with a huge 50" LCD TV on the wall and a king size bed.”

• Desk staff and concierge were helpful in making reservations and switching room when problems arose.
• Bathroom toilet kept breaking and refused to flush.

“The room was very clean, but we were on a floor where renovations were being done, so it was very noisy beginning at 8 in the morning. The desk person switched our room very willingly the next day. Staff is friendly and extremely helpful.”

• It was close in proximity to all the tourist hot spots.
• 4 star hotel, no tooth paste/brush, no robes/slippers.

“The hotel is located in a prime location for tourists. Staff has good knowledge of local restaurants and bars. Good security at night. Great night view of the Jersey front and also partial Manhattan night scenery. This is a 4 star hotel, yet there are no tooth brush or tooth paste. Went down to front desk to ask, none were found. Was promise to receive it at the room in 10 minuets. Nothing was received. Room did not have bath robes or slippers. Internet connection should not be charged. The price that guest pay for this hotel should include these basic amenities.”

• Style of room and bathroom was very modern and comfortable.
• Extreme noise level on my floor while renovations were being completed.

“Overall this hotel met my expectations. I was on the 36th floor so I didn't even hear the construction, however what I did hear was the hammering and drilling above and next to my room as the hotel was renovating its bathrooms. I truly believe that all guests should be treated equally despite how they book a room and if invasive construction is being done on certain floors.”

• The bed, amenities, and cleanliness were excellent.
• The construction at Ground Zero was very loud and disturbed our sleep.

“The hotel itself was nice but the location is currently in the middle of Ground Zero construction. There was a notation that construction would impede cross streets and accessibility, but not that jackhammers would be going off all night, including in the middle of the night, interfering with sleep. I would not stay at this hotel again until construction was completed because I do not believe rooms should be rented near a construction site where guests cannot even sleep.”

• The location, front desk, door, housekeeping staff & servers were top notch.
• The Concierge was somewhat rude; more interested in telling us about his long hours than in providing assistance.

“When I travel, I look for some very basic things: is it clean, safe & is the staff helpful. The hotel room was clean with plenty of linens; the public restrooms were not in as good a shape -- appeared like they got a once or twice go over with little follow up but, we visited those spaces very little so it was not major. With one exception, the staff was excellent, very helpful and friendly. The Concierge was the exception. We did ask his assistance with directions & with getting into a popular Beastro. The directions were good but after a phone call that was not answered; he told us we weren't getting in the Beastro. Being good Americans, we visited the Beastro anyway & did get in; enjoyed an excellent meal. The Concierge was not very approachable. The bar was another experience we will not repeat. The view is excellent but the server we had knew nothing about mixology and was not open to attempting anything for us. We did not spend a lot of time there. The housekeeping staff, the door & front desk staff were excellent. They provided excellent service. I've stayed at other 4 & 5 star hotels; this one does not make the cut largely because of the Concierge & certain services that were missing (turn-down service among them). Having said all of that, I would book this hotel again because of its location and the general helpfulness of the staff.”
