“Very Nice Hotel! A Night parking cost was too much to me! It is right next to a subway hub and also next to the Light Rail Hub! This is the Only way to get around and is very cheap and very clean and safe in the daytime!”

• Location was great because it was so close to NYC, but the hidden gem was visiting Ellis Island & the Sol and not waiting in the massive NY lines!
• Only odd element would may be that the 1st two floors were below the main lobby. When staying on the 2 floor you have to fight the impulse to not go up.

“Overall, staff was super friendly, very helpful and nice! Gorgeous views of the city - and if you don't mind the path, great way to save money without NYC hotel pricing. Breakfast and rest prices a tad high though, even though food was good. But $23 for heat lamped continental breakfasts were a little pricey. (Only comparing those prices to that of the (Vegas) Bellegio for $30- which of course had much more of a selection and everything made for the most part fresh there. But would like to repeat that the staff was very courteous and friendly!”

• Convenient location, nice view if your room faces to the river not the harbor.
• Someone opened the door without knocking for cleaning before 9 am! The wall is thin so you can hear noises next room.

“This hotel located convenient place for business and sightseeing. Path train station is next to the hotel. You can reach lower Manhattan only one stop by path trains. The facility is nice and clean with great view. The walls between the rooms might be thin a little bit so that you would hear noises from your next room.”

“The Grand Hyatt is a gorgeous water front hotel so close to NYC, but so much better priced. Everything is top of the line, and the staff couldn't have been nicer to me, my daughter and my special-needs son. It's the best hotel in Jersey City!”

• Very Conveniently located next to the Path Train.
• Room noise from other upper floors and hallways, room not very well insulated for noise.

“Very clean, new, modern and luxurious with all necessary amenities. Comfortable room and beds. Well equipped Gym. Restaurant had delicious food and versatile men, with something for every diet and taste, and was reasonably priced for the area with lovely views of Downtown Manhattan especially at night! Close to the Path Train for speedy connections to /from NYC and the Newark Airport, We'd stay there again!”

• Great location with a magnificent view of Manhattan.
• Hotel valet parking was outrageously expensive.

“This is an upscale hotel conveniently located on the Hudson with a magnificent view of the Manhattan skyline. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. Conveniently located just minutes from NYC. The hotel parking is valet only and is quite expensive, so I suggest that you park on the street or in the parking garage two blocks away.”

• Awesome view of the Hudson and Manhattan.
• Room temperature not cool enough for the season.

“Our stay at the hotel was great. I would definitely stay there again. The hotel room was decorated very nicely and had a beautiful view. Plus it was next-door to the Path. The hotel staff were courteous without being intrusive. One minor detail the hotel had not yet turned on their cooling system (according to the reservation desk) so the room was a little warm so we opened the window every night.”

• The restaurant was very expensive.

“We loved our trip to NYC and our stay at the Hyatt. The staff was very friendly and courteous, the rooms were clean and the best part was having the path Subway right out our door of the hotel. It was a 5 min. Ride to NYC! The restaurant was a bit pricey for breakfast with 3 kids and the local Jersey seemed to have no weekend activity. But, all in all, we had a great stay!”

• Valet Parking Price is steep for this side of the Hudson. The Sheraton in Weehawken has free parking.

“Pleasant People. Close to a couple of good late night eateries including a 24 hour diner and a UNO Pizzerias. Path train is convenient and safe. Parking should be closer to $20.00 let's face it, it's not Manhattan.”

• Amazingly convenient to Manhattan, for all the amenities.
• Not much in the vicinity.

“I stayed with my two sons (ages 7 and 14) at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson for 5 nights during a recent trip to Manhattan. The access to Manhattan was quick and easy (just minutes), the views from our room were great, and the room was comfy and clean. So, particularly if you're traveling with kids, be sure to think ahead and stock up on drinks and snacks and maybe some breakfast food.”

• Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms with great views, very accessible to Path train.
• Housekeeping kept bringing only decaffeinated coffee to the room.

“This hotel is definitely upscale. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The views of the city skyline were great. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Housekeeping made the room up everyday and were attentive to our needs (refilling shampoo, changing towels, etc..). The Path train to the city was literally right outside the doors of the hotel which was very convenient. We would definitely stay there again.”

“This hotel was a great location. Continental breakfast is over $20 per person not included. They woke me up with a wakeup knock (did not request a call at all that day) on the only morning we had to sleep in.”

“Great service check-in and out was easy; the concierge helpful and if they didn't know something, they did their best to find out. Convenient location you get a quick train 4min to the Path station and then hop onto the E Chambers St. Or other local MTA Subways a short 3-5 min walk away that take you straight into the city.”

• Water in the pool was a little bit colder than expected but they said they would fix that.

“We wanted to visit New York with our two children (5 and 7) and therefore needed something nice, clean, with a pool and fitness facility, comfortable beds, easy to find, close to public transportation to have an easy access to Manhattan. We got that all with this hotel. The only drawback was parking at $32 per night (valet only), but we survived that. The views from our window were fantastic, the breakfast was very expensive but tasty and with good selection. No custom-made omelets, which was missed on our side. Overall it was a very nice, relaxing stay. This hotel is really great.”

• The water in the shower didn't take forever to get hot; the shower pressure was great.
• The room was really hot (still winter season so air conditioner wasn't working).

“The hotel is located right across from Manhattan with wonderful views of the skyline, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty. It is right next to the light rail and train systems and it is a short drive away from Liberty State Park. Dine out of the hotel because the prices in the restaurant are pretty high.”

• The ambiance of the whole area was lovely. The view of NY was breathtaking at night.
• Parking situation was bad. You were charged each time the hotel parked your car/ outside lot was 3 blocks away.

• It was clean and close to everything. Seconds from the Path train and excellent views from many rooms. Our room had a view of the Empire State Building.
• The only suggestion would be for the rooms on the 1st floor to have one way windows so you can open the curtain and not worry about people seeing in.

“This hotel boasts an extraordinary view of the Manhattan Skyline as well as Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. It is conveniently located near the path train, which brings you right into Manhattan for $1.50 each way. The hotel was clean and the service was excellent. The concierge was extremely knowledgeable on which subways to take and answered all our questions. The food in the Vu restaurant was amazing and I would classify it as 5 star restaurant. The views were amazing from the restaurant, the lounge and our room. I have already told a dozen people about our experience and believe me they will be visiting the Hyatt Regency in Jersey City very soon. And we will most definitely return as well.”

“Great, family friendly hotel. We had a room with the view (in the distance) of the statue of liberty. Expensive restaurant-- did not eat there. The location was great-- right next to the path train to travel to and from NYC. The staff was very helpful and couteous.”

• The bar's food is not great.

“If you are looking for a nice place to stay near New York City this is the place. Right at the exit of the path train, you can easily travel to New York City anytime you like. The hotel is very nice with a good room and nice views. They have good facilities, the only downside is that there are not many shops around and many of them do not open during the weekend.”

• The view from my room was beautiful.
• I did not like that my toilet overflowed and they would not move me to another room.

“Overall, the Hotel is beautiful except a few problems with my toilet. Other than that, the view is beautiful. There were nice restaurants around hotel for cheaper eating, very convenient getting back and forth to New York, and the gentlemen at the bar was wonderful at making drinks.”

“I have stayed here before, and had beautiful accommodations. The stopper in the sink did not work, the water could not be adjusted in the shower, and the spigot coming into the bath tub was literally falling off. But, what do I expect for such a low price?”

• The staff is very friendly, the rooms are very safe, comfortable, clean and outside view is phenomenal.
• Unfortunately the price for breakfast is expensive.

“We loved to stay at this very beautiful hotel. The staff is always very friendly and the rooms have everything that makes your stay more than just comfortable. The view through the window was every morning and at night a high light because we could always see the skyline of Manhattan. So begun and ended the day with a big smile on our faces.
