  • Nothing to complain about.

“Great hotel for the price through Priceline as regular prices were much higher; all the staff, we encountered, were friendly and helpful as could be and access to New York was easy and convenient.”

“Motel 6 or Days Inn staff are more professional than here. As a Hyatt platinum member, I often stay at various Hyatt locations, and this was the worst Hyatt experience so far.”

  • Great location! Cannot beat the views! Room service excellent.
  • Unfortunately, the hotel does not have a pick-up service from the airport. No mini bar or tea maker in the room (only a coffee maker).

“Good
hotel, for being so close to the City. Great views on Manhattan. Spacey modern rooms with excellent beds. Nice detail is that the windows can actually be opened. The food that is served is tasty but rather expensive when all taxes and extras are added. Highly recommended.”

  • Great location, great service, friendly staff
    and romantic hotel-bar.
  • No wellness area and
    indoor pool small.

“It is located on the west side of Hudson river, offering a great view to the Manhattan skyline. The rooms are great and provide either view to the statue of liberty or to midtown manhattan. Staff is very friendly and try their best to fulfill your wishes about the room (non-smoker/smoker, midtown view, king size bed etc.). The facilities include a well equipped fitness area which is opened 24h and an indoor pool, which is rather small. The hotel restaurant and the bar provide an excellent view over Manhattan, thus being an excellent location for unforgettable dinners. The hotel also provides rooms for conferences and meetings.”

“The hotel was fabulous, clean & convenient. I was surprised that in our one room - the iron didn't work, the TV remote did not work, and the refrigerator barely chilled beyond room temperature. These were disappointments that could have easily been avoided by the housekeeping staff using a checklist. Other than that, the room was well maintained, clean and well stocked.”

“The hotel has an excellent location and view. Facilities and staff are very good. Breakfast is fine, dinner was of reasonable quality. Room was well equipped and clean. Major disappointment: flimsy door between our and other room, therefore voices from other room was clearly audible. This does not fit a 3-star hotel (and should be solved easily). Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7
Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[6] • Location:[9]

  • Fantastic view of NYC skyline and statue of liberty, Very convenient transportation to NYC and Liberty State Park. Lovely promenade outside of hotel.
  • Poor service-- room not completely vacuum for couple of days, bed linens were not rearranged each morning. Did not fix bathroom room stopper.

“Excellent hotel for budget minded traveler who are visiting NYC with the best proximity to Manhattan and great access to diff transportation. Path Train station is right next to the hotel, water taxi terminal and car rental office (1.5 blocks) nearby. We felt very safe walking around the neighborhood during the day and night and to/from the Path train station. Police has great presence there during rush hours. During the day, there are many office workers. And at night, everyone is out taking an evening stroll with their family, dogs and exercising by the promenade which is right outside of the hotel. They honored and topped all our requests before our trip for a busy holiday weekend--a 2 double-bed room with a crib, a view of statue of Liberty on the 7th floor. It was an older hotel with stylish furnishing and clean rooms/bathroom. The pool and fitness center has a great view of the Manhattan. But, the service at the hotel was disappointing. Our broken bathroom stopper wasn't fixed at all after 2 requests; we even took it out for them and the staff just simply stuffed it back in. And we made 3 requests for the porter for our luggage on our departure. Our rooms were not completely vacuumed for a couple of days. The cereals that my infant son threw on the carpet behind the desk chair at the corner were left unattended. Our extra pillows, bed cushions and blankets were left on the sofa chair where we put them at bedtime for days. On-site parking was ridiculous; the worst we had experienced ($35 for overnight). So, we abandoned our car rental and took public transportation to Manhattan and Liberty State park instead. It is one stop to the old WTC site where you have access to at least 6 different subways nearby. It took us less than 0.5hr to the ferry terminal at Liberty state park for our statue of Liberty trip. The best is there were no lines for the ferry, unlike at the NY terminal.”

“They Hyatt on the Hudson was a spectacular hotel. Everything from the staff to the room was wonderful. Our room looked out over the river to lower Manhattan and the path access could not have been better. We had a small snafu, when we parked our car in a public parking garage that was not open over the Holiday weekend and the Hotel was able to extend our stay by one night at a very reasonable rate. I would definitely recommend anyone planning a trip to NYC consider staying at the Hyatt on the Hudson. Our family truly enjoyed our stay!”

  • Location was great because it was so close to NYC, but the hidden gem was visiting Ellis Island & the Sol and not waiting in the massive NY lines!
  • Only odd element would may be that the 1st two floors were below the main lobby. When staying on the 2 floor you have to fight the impulse to not go up.

“Overall, staff was super friendly, very helpful and nice! Gorgeous views of the city - and if you don't mind the path, great way to save money without NYC hotel pricing. Breakfast and rest prices a tad high though, even though food was good. But $23 for heat lamped continental breakfasts were a little pricey. (Only comparing those prices to that of the (Vegas) Bellegio for $30- which of course had much more of a selection and everything made for the most part fresh there. But would like to repeat that the staff was very courteous and friendly!”
