• Distance to Path-train only 60 feet (20m), very clean, safe, stuff very friendly.
• Nothing to tell.

“I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The connection to Manhattan is perfect (Path train only 60 feet distance). The room was very spacious with 2 queen beds, comfortable and very clean. The stuff is always very friendly and helpful in every way they can. Internet access in the lobby without any costs (the Hyatt in Jersey City wants 5$ for 10 minutes!. We had a great stay. Every time again.”

• Access to PATH station.
• Nothing.

“Its right next to PATH station and you can get to the center of NYC just in 15 min. (Although you may have to wait for 20 min at longest at the station, it's not a blame to be cast on the hotel.) The room is spacious and clean and the Internet is available for free! If you want to save some money to stay close to NYC without sacrificing the quality of your stay, this hotel is for you.”

• Right next to Path station.
• 15$ valet parking - took too long.

“Nice hotel, quick check-in and check-out. Even though there was a slot for the room card at the front door for people coming in after 11 pm, we got back one night past midnight and the doors just opened as usual. The valet parking is really annoying. You have to leave your car and key with the guy, and when you want your car back, you have to call reception 30 minutes before the time you want it. Comfortable room, but no mini-fridge or microwave. Rather old air conditioning system.”

• They gave me a small fridge when I asked!

“ This hotel was far better than a 3 star Sheraton I stayed on during my same trip to NJ. I would highly recommend this hotel. Might not have the views, but very close to the train, and a 15 minute walk to a ferry. Have fun! ”

• Washington Mayflower a little nice due to kindness.
• Niagara Madison Hotel very poor because of room facility.

“ During a stay in Courtyard Marriott, NJ, I lost 2 bottles of wine while I entrusted valet with my car for parking. Although I was upset I couldn't tell them about that because I am not used to speaking English. ”

• The room was very nice, close to NYC location at half the price of a new York hotel.
• For New Jersey it could have been a bit less expensive, just a bit.

“A friend suggestion, and even helped me get a room on very short notice for my wife and myself. He even let us use his computer and being from New York (now living in Florida) he suggested a good area close but outside of NYC itself. He helped us choose the location and the hotel. This was a bit of a disappointment but we were so tired from our drive from Florida that it did not make too much of a difference this trip because it was only for a single night. All in all is was a very nice hotel and a pleasant, clean, place as well. We would return and hopefully get a king-size bed as we reserved next time.”

• The free good coffee!
• Had to request for towels twice. Housekeeping forgot to leave them.

“Overall, this hotel was very comfortable and nice. They let me check in 3 hours early. Staff was friendly and helpful.”

• Great location! Close to subway, close to mall, close to NYC w/o the traffic.
• NA.

“Great place to stay if you want to visit the city but avoid crossing a bridge into Manhattan. The path (subway) is literally less than a minute from the front door. A large shopping mall is across the street (about 4 minutes). Breakfast bar was good ($10 14 per person). Room was attractive and comfortable. We'll stay there again when we visit NY.”

• The location was amazing for catching the path to Manhattan.
• Pricing was high but trying to find an equivalent in Manhattan for a similar price would be almost impossible.

• The staff was very friendly!
• I didn't like or appreciate the confusing valet service of the hotel. We parked in the deck, only to realize that we are supposed to valet the vehicle.

“Nice place, nice area. Great Staff, and friendly service. If you have a car, call to see how their parking works, because we had to move our car and get it valeted--pain in the but.”

• Nice service.
• Nothing.

“The hotel has two computers with Internet in the lobby. This is extremely convenient when I want to look up something (like maps etc) on Internet Also there is a shared microwave, where people can heat up their own food. A minor problem is the floor is a little bit dirty. But it is not a big deal. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.”

• No self parking.

“I had a bad experience in this hotel. Never ask to call a taxi in this hotel. The staff will bring you a illegal taxi (personal car) and ask you very high price.”

• Good Location, ideal for a visit of Manhattan's without a car.
• 2 nights in a row we smelled cigarette smoke, even it was non-smoking floor

“The hotel is perfect for a visit in New York, if you want to stay outside Manhattan. Metro directly beside hotel. Good restaurants in neighborhood.”

• Good location, convenient to public transportation, overall an easy commute to Manhattan.
• Hotel restaurant has limited hours on weekends.

“Overall a nice hotel in a quiet area with great views of Manhattan. It's right next to the PATH train station, so getting to and from Manhattan is very easy. The staff was readily available with a willingness to help with any request.”

“Extremely easy to get to from Path Line. Hotel was clean and very eye appealing. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly and very accommodating which is pleasant in todays world. I would certainly stay at this Hotel again. Breakfast Buffet was very good too!”

• The room had a feeling that it wasn't clean, the carpet was sticky. The sheets were very thin and wrinkled.

• Location -- next door to PATH train; value compared with Manhattan hotels; free PC w/internet access in lobby
• Bathroom sink out in the open (not within a closed bathroom)

“For the Manhattan-bound traveler, the Newport area of Jersey City is an excellent alternative, provided you are not a night owl (the last PATH train leaves at 11:40 pm, midnight on Saturdays). The Marriott is located next door to the Pavonia/Newport station -- just steps away. And this 2 1/2* hotel is better than many 3* properties in Manhattan (larger room, cleaner, more modern, more comfortable). It isn't as easy to drop by the hotel quickly, in the middle of the day, as it would be if it were in Manhattan, but if that's not important to you, the savings will make it worthwhile. ”

“The courtyard is in line with my expectation. It is a not a fancy hotel but with adequate amenities and the location is good as well. I did not have time to check out the surrounding area but there is a mall across the street. Overall, it is a good experience.”
