“The Operating system went down & delayed my check in.” Oct 31, 2007 by
Charles from Washington, DC
“Overall, the hotel was nice. It was located next to the bus stop to go to nyc. It had a nice decor of warm earth tones and the staff was young and accommodating. It had a free internet center and the location was next to a shopping center with restaurants and a 6 movie Cineplex.” Oct 14, 2007 by
Ken from Broomall, PA
“Exceeds expectations.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Rob from Toronto, ON CA
“We would definitely stay in this hotel again. Location was good; it took less than 15 min by bus to get to the port authority.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Rajeswararao from Creve Coeur, MO
“Excellent, I like this hotel and prefer when ever I visit New York.” Sep 5, 2007 by
Alan from Ottawa, ON CA
“I'd recommend the hotel to others. Large clean rooms - recently renovated. The breakfast selection was poor. Lobby was still being renovated as part of the Hyatt Place conversion.” Sep 3, 2007 by
Jim from West Chester, PA
“A great alternative to NYC's sky high hotel prices only 25 minutes to Manhattan via NJ transit bus that stops practically in front of the hotel.” Aug 31, 2007 by
Tammie from Lithonia, GA
“The location and breakfast were fine but the construction was very noisy and off putting. I think the hotel will be nice after it is completed but right now it is really a problem. All in all it was a nice room for the price but some of the staff seems to be having bad days all the time. Other staff was excellent!” Aug 30, 2007 by
Fanny from Thornhill, ON CA
“Good hotel overall. Very clean and spacious rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Great for family travelers.” Aug 28, 2007 by
Ian from Sunnyvale, CA
“Overall, a good hotel under renovation but the staff was not accommodating in putting us to a quieter room after request. From second floor above the lobby next to elevator to 4th floor next to elevator.” Aug 28, 2007 by
Jin-Cheng from Baltimore, MD
“It is a good place to stay for sleep, but you got to make fun outside the hotel.” Aug 28, 2007 by
John from New Baltimore, MI
“All in all, an excellent hotel within 15 minutes of NYC, but without the "NYC" cost. Public transportation and a fine selection of restaurants are all within minutes of the hotel. I would stay here again in a "New York minute".” Aug 28, 2007 by
Lisa from Wilmington, DE
“Most likely one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at! Room was completely renovated and even included a 52" flat screen TV.” Aug 22, 2007 by
Peter from San Diego, CA
“Lots of free parking. Easy access to bus to NYC. Nice breakfast buffet, however, the do-it-yourself waffle machine was not available, as there was inadequate room in the meeting room temporarily being used for breakfast (as renovations are underway).” Aug 20, 2007 by
Lina from West Carrollton, OH
“Great hotel, free parking, nice breakfast. Had a few problems the first night but everything was resolved by night #2. Would highly suggest this for anyone staying in the Jersey City/Newark area who desires form and function - very different from your typical two beds, a loo and a window type room!” Aug 19, 2007 by
Tom from Oro Station, ON CA
“When the hotel is finished construction I suspect it will be of great value however right now its still a work in progress.” Jul 2, 2007 by
Macletus from Silver Spring, MD
“I stayed at the Amerisuites Secaucus for three nights with two 16 yr old girls - my daughter and her friend who was visiting the US for the first time from Italy. We were looking to visit New York "inexpensively" and I was familiar with the accommodations in the Meadowlands area. I have stayed at this Amerisuites before and been totally satisfied but the renovations in progress now will turn the totally satisfactory Amerisuites into a fairly luxurious Hyatt. Although the lobby was currently being renovated during our stay and left much to be desired, the already renovated room was comfortable, well appointed, and super comfortable and clean. We had two double beds and a queen-sized sleeper sofa so everyone was able to sleep comfortably. Coffeepot, fridge and "kitchen sink" made mornings a breeze for Mom. Two sinks, separate from the bathroom, and plenty of mirrors satisfied the girls' primping needs. The desk with internet/computer connections and wireless access made planning each day's excursions and keeping up with email a breeze; and a great flat screen TV made the time in the room (not that we spent much time there) pleasant. There was a basic but serviceable complementary breakfast each morning and wonder of wonders, bus service to New York's theater district right outside the hotel (The NJ transit's 320 bus for $3.15 one-way). Not luxury but an ideal place for a value-conscious couple or a family looking to see New York or the Meadowlands comfortably, safely, and with a minimum of headaches. I recommend it without reservation.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 24, 2007 by

“We arrived for check-in to find they did not have our three rooms for our family group. We had to drive to a different Hotel than the one we booked and paid for. It was not up to the standards we had set and we are all very disappointed in the experience.” Jun 21, 2007 by
Carol from Raleigh, NC
“A great room for a family. Loved the breakfast included and the free parking. The bus to NY comes right outside the hotel and the restaurants & shops are right across the street. Love this place!” May 24, 2007 by
Deb from Laval, QC CA
“The amerisuites is in the process of being renovated. The individual rooms were newly renovated with beautiful furniture, fixtures, pull-out sofa bed and 42 inch plasma TV. The advertised breakfast was that there were do-it-yourself waffles but when we got there, there were none. The eggs and sausage patty were not very good. But one can't complain since the rest of breakfast was not too bad. This is a great hotel if you want to go to nick without paying too much money. There is a bus right in front of the hotel that will bring you to nick for 2.85 us per person and it will drop you off in front of the hotel on the way back. One-way trip will be about 25 min. You can buy your tickets in the holiday inn gift shop or you can pay cash and get change back on the bus.” May 24, 2007 by
Tracie from Jersey City, NJ
“By far, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. As I pulled up into the hotel's front entrance, I discovered that I was unable to drop off my disabled father in front of the door because the construction crew was blocking the entry. More upsetting was that the crew would not respond to my questions, but could obviously speak English because they asked me to back up when they almost dropped garbage on my car by accident. My father had to walk a long distance to the front door and then I had to back up onto a major road and drive the long way to the parking lot. There was only one person working the front desk with a long line which meant that it took 30 - 45 minutes for us to check-in. I wanted to speak with the manager about my experience which I thought was unacceptable, but she was over two hours late and hadn't arrived to work which probably contributed to the long line. To make matters worse, the entire public area was under construction, my room still smelled like paint and the complimentary breakfast was served in an alternate location and the food was sub-par. Maybe the hotel will be better post-construction, but they should not be open if they can't really accommodate guests.” May 7, 2007 by
LJ from Katy, TX
“Stayed here for a trade show exhibition at the Meadowlands Exhibition Center, this was adjacent. Convenient for business, but the hotel was under reconstruction since it was being changed to a Hyatt Place. So there was no lobby or gift shop available. No ice in the ice machines. The rooms were spacious and very clean, with a refrigerator and upscale coffee maker, but I was disappointed there was no microwave as advertised. Buffet breakfast was quite good. Since it was under construction, it's hard to give a fair description. If we needed anything, we were directed to the Holiday Inn across the street. Excellent access to restaurants and shops, and the bus was convenient for downtown trips. No shuttle to the airports. I can't fault the rooms, just the inconvenience caused by the reconstruction.” Dec 18, 2006 by
Scott from Sugarloaf, PA
“The hotel is clean and clearly well maintained. However, management should speak to someone within the mingles creek plaza administration building. Upon leaving the hotel, several signs point to route 3, yet none of which are easy to follow afterwards. In fact, you have signs that give contrasting directions to route 3. They clearly point in the wrong direction and force you to drive well out of your way before you realize it. Signage must be laid out properly so you can see when you need to make the next turn. Further, one sign says rt. 3 east (turn left), another sign says rt. 3 east (turn right). Very confusing - ask any one that works there. The mall is doing everyone that visits a dies-service in an effort to corral them to shopping interests. Very cheesy and unacceptable! Local management should raise this issue until it is resolved. I travel extensively throughout the u.s. And without question this is the most confusing mall complex area I¿ve visited in the previous 20 years and the signage absolutely contradicts itself.” Dec 12, 2006 by

“The hotel staff upon checking in, I found to be very efficient and friendly. The lobby was well maintained, as was the guest dining area. The room was very clean and comfortable.” Oct 27, 2006 by
Jamal from Philadelphia, PA
“Great place to stay while visiting New York because it's very convenient to the city but affordable because not in the city. They have almost everything I want in a hotel: free breakfast, free wireless internet, and a refrigerator in the room. The only thing missing and that I wish they had was a Jacuzzi. Also, the location of the TV in the room was stupid. It was half way between the bedroom and the lounge area so you couldn't really watch it from either. It should be in one or the other, or have two TV's.” Oct 3, 2006 by
Leslie from Rochester, NY
“Very satisfied. It was spacious and had nice amenities such as fridge. and microwave. I was very comfortable.” Sep 23, 2006 by
Rajeev from Schaumburg, IL
“this was my first visit to New York city with family. accessibility/proximity to Manhattan and a modest budget for the stay was my criteria. Found the hotel well located, in room kitchenette was a boon. (for my 3yr old son) well connected to Manhattan by the transit bus, shopping mall around was convenient too. The staff at amerisuites were very helpful in my queries to go around the Manhattan. In all, found the stay pleasant and exceeded our expectations!” Aug 30, 2006 by
Elise from New Hartford, NY
“I have stay here before but the hotel has definitely gone downhill. The rooms were dirty and in disrepair, chipped tubs, dirty walls, etc. We were traveling with my son and need to utilize the sleep sofa. I have never been in a "suite" hotel where there was no door on the bedroom to separate it from the living quarters (sleep sofa area). I will never stay at this hotel again, I don't care how convenient it was. I should have asked for my money back it was terrible. Don't send anyone here. Next time, the Embassy Suites in Harmon Meadow!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 10, 2006 by

“The hotel was nice, the room was ok, there was a dead cockroach in my ice bucket and the toilet ran. But the bed was nice and the view was awesome.” Aug 7, 2006 by
Robert from Brackney, PA
“For those looking for easy access to NYC without the hassle of driving, parking, and the expense of staying in town, Ameri-Suites is a very convenient option. The staff is friendly, and the hotel is adequate, especially for the business traveler. It's a very good deal.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 24, 2006 by

“Asked for television connection to be checked due to inconsistent television reception (various channels will not be available when they were before). Was told they will check it out the next morning. Never happened.” Jun 21, 2006 by
Babak from Aberdeen, MD
“I think the hotel was overpriced. The breakfast was very poor, and also the service. The lady responsible was very rude. Also the area for breakfast was awful. There were not enough soap, garbage can, shampoo in the room. they charge too much for the service.” Jun 14, 2006 by
Sonja D. from Canonsburg, PA
“Convenient location, but the room carpet was wrinkled and stained, the bed linens were rough and faded, the furniture looked old, we had to wait for replenishing of the coffee and milk at the breakfast buffet, the eggs tasted like rubber.” Jun 10, 2006 by
Joe from Wilmington, NC
“Good hotel. very helpful staff.” May 27, 2006 by
Tony from Potomac, MD
“Overall a very good value for visiting NYC. The NJ transit bus to Port Authority/Times Square was very convenient. Staying in Secaucus/Meadowlands instead of in town saved hotel costs, parking and tunnel tolls. The hotel was very clean with a nice breakfast service. There was plenty of family style dining nearby and the suite was very spacious. Well suited for business travelers as well as budget conscious weekday leisure travelers.” Mar 26, 2006 by
Arnold from St. Louis, MO
“The hotel was a very clean and friendly atmosphere which was good for any family. The workers were helpful and always aware of your needs. They also had a very good selection of food at the morning breakfast. Great value and would give them an A+ for everything.” Mar 23, 2006 by
Denise from Chambersburg, PA
“The hotel staff were very accommodating, the rooms were clean and spacious, the breakfast bar was wonderful, those hand made waffles with warm syrup started the day off just right, the bus to NYC was right outside the front door. Will definitely use this hotel for our next trip to the city.” Feb 27, 2006 by

“I enjoyed staying very much.” Nov 29, 2005 by

“It is too expensive for it's facility and it needs to renovate as soon as possible. It deserves to get only $60.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 17, 2005 by

“Superb location opp bus stop to reach Manhattan in 20 min., surrounded by quality restaurants and metroplex, close to WalMart and a Mall, extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff who gave me some credits for calls made from room which did not connect, bountiful buffet breakfast incl. huge waffles, good hotel to stay with family !” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 1, 2005 by

“I uses this hotel for a NYC visit. The location was excellent just across a bridge from NYC and a bus station was just out of the backdoor. The bus provided us an easy access to NYC. This hotel also provided excellent free breakfast. I will use them again in future.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 23, 2005 by
