• Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, location was excellent and bus service to NYC was excellent.
• We did not like having to pay extra for parking.

“This is a very nice hotel, very close to NYC. The NJ Transit is an excellent service and gets you to the city in 15 minutes. Some evenings (around 5-6 p.m. there is a lot of traffic so it takes longer to get there). Leave extra time to get to the city (ie. leave early enough if you are catching a show in the city). We were very happy with the hotel and facilities. I would recommend it highly.”

• They have different types of pillows to choose from.
• Hotel staff are not helpful at all, don't know where theater or breakfast are.

• The bus stop out front was our portal to Manhattan each day.
• They weren't so helpful re: transportation questions when I called in advance.

• It's clean and neat. Also it's really close to New York City.
• Free parking garage is a little far from the hotel!

“Very nice hotel located, near the Lincoln Tunnel and New York. Hotel is in a good location with plenty of dining and entertainment nearby. This is a great option to a pricey Manhattan Hotel.”

• Very clean & newly renovated rooms with flat-screen TV.
• Wireless Internet connection was very slow.

“Hotel is clean & newly remodeled. It was also in a nice, quiet location close to shopping. We had a flat-screen TV, microwave & refrigerator in our room. Unfortunately, I left my food in the refrigerator when we checked out. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the wireless Internet connection on our room was VERY slow.”

• The hotel was clean and the appearance was nice.
• The front staff was not the friendliest.

“I expected a lot more from a hotel of this star rating. The front staff was adequate. They definitely weren't very friendly and didn't go out of their way to be helpful. The hotel didn't have a pool. I have older children who would've definitely used the pool. It seems like a hotel equipped more for business people. We did enjoy the gift shop, and bought souvenirs there. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the shops and restaurants near the hotel, and there was a Walmart nearby too, to get essentials. However, it is difficult to find the hotel, even with a GPS. The entrance does not have adequate signage. All in all, it was ok, but will probably never go out of our way to stay there again.”

• Rooms were clean and comfortable. Convenient location.
• Parking was not convenient, but valet was not expensive. Breakfast service in hotel restaurant was slow.

“Hotel itself is clean and at a very convenient location. The closest parking garage is valet parking only. The self parking is available but it is across the street and the hotel receptionist was intentionally inaccurate about the entrance of the self parking garage.”

“Even though the hotel is going through renovations we didn't hear nor see anything, spend most of the time in NYC, the bus stop is one block away and the tickets are sold in the gift shop. 15 min ride to the city. Excellent experience.”

• The location was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see.
• Nothing.

“I cannot tell you how pleased we were with it. They have recently remodeled and everything is new. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was amazing. We wanted to see the historical things around town and this hotel was located in close walking distance. It is located in a very safe location with tons to do!”

• Previous guest cafe still in room when we came in; dirty.

“1. Previous guest cafe still in room when we came in. 2. Towels were not enough. Previous guest towels are still in the bathroom; 3. Mosquitoes bite my kids badly. 4. I stayed there three nights. Each night, I have to ask the staff to replace and provide the conditioner and shampoo. In summary, very dirty. Good thing is that the hotel location is good, easy to take bus to downtown New York City in short time.”

“This hotel is excellent. Close to shops in the area, convenient bus transportation into New York at a very, very affordable price. The staff was very nice, and very accommodating will definitely make a repeat stay when I go back to New York.”

• The location was extremely convenient for getting into NYC by bus.
• The hotel was absolutely ordinary.

“The hotel provided the necessities for a trip to NYC on a budget: a bed and easy transportation. Beyond that, the hotel did not provide additional amenities that would encourage me to stay again. The entire stay was best described as basic.”

• I liked the location most of all.
• I did not like the un-cleanliness of the bathroom.

“The hotel was OK. The location was great. The housekeepers were nice about coming back when you weren't ready. It was fairly quiet. I didn't notice until the next morning, but the sheet on my bed had a huge dried up blood stain on it-disgusting. It was not my blood.”

“This hotel is very good for the value and better than expected. However the hallway areas are very poor in condition, they look like you are in prison and from the inside of your room you can hear the hallway noise as well as see light coming in through the door edges that makes its seem very unsafe and keeps you awake!.”

• Great location. Easy link New York (bus at the door). Expo Convention Centre next door as well as meadowlands (Izod Giant Stadium and more).
• It is very important to have someone to greed and open the front door at all the time with help as well. Remember purpose of coming to minimize work.

“One of the best locations. Center of everything. Everything around you. Great shuttle offered. But the most of all amazing Moroccan American crew very friendly, charming are in charge of the valet they will make you feel like you're in real vacation even if you there for business. I'll give them a lot of credit. Please keep up with the good work. We'll come back again and again. My best regards to every member of your hotel.”

• The Hotel was clean, rooms were in good shape and the location to NYC is very good. Short ride to ferry.
• The service was less than desired. The front desk was understaffed. Too long at check in and out.

“This hotel was so-so. The staff was very friendly. The lobby and the grounds were very well kept. The room I was given looked like a room that was last decorated in the 80's. Wallpaper was peeling from several spots. The shower head was coming loose and the shower curtain need replacing because there were brown stains on it. The room was very cold when I arrived. There was no room service menu anywhere to be found. Doubt if I'll return.”

“My husband and I were surprised to see how big the room is. Added to this, it was really clean and the hotel location was just great (you walk out the back door of the hotel and there you are at the plaza, amidst all restaurants and shops). Bus to Manhattan (Ports Authority) is just in front of the hotel. I would surely recommend this hotel to relatives and friends.”

• I was thrilled that it was convenient next to a lot of food establishments. I didn't have to get into a car and drive. I like their gift shop too.
• The parking!. It was awful how far you had to walk to park your car, and with a small child it was awful.

“I was not happy with the parking situation. Oh yes they did offer valet parking for $8.00! I would think they would at least offer that to please their customers. You had to walk very far to get to the parking, then they have you park on the top level, traveling with a young child, I did not feel safe walking at that time of night to get to the hotel. Plus carrying all the luggage, which had no elevators in parking garage. I happened to be going when it was raining on top of it. When I went to use the ice machine, they had no ice. I went to use the coffee machine, did not work. When I notified the desk about it, I asked that they just exchange it after I left, I did not want to be bothered. Well the maintenance man walked right in my room without even knocking, I was in my pajamas! I spoke the front desk about it, and their response was did I have the do not disturb sign up, like that matters? I felt violated! And I was upset that the front desk was so easy about it. I like the hotel for convenience, but was not impressed by their hospitality.”

• Very nice room decor for a Holiday Inn.
• Maid service was lacking. Wireless internet was out of service and they charged for internet use. Should not have charged if the wireless was down.

“Wireless internet was supposed to be available. It was out of service and they charged us for internet usage. Rooms were nice. Clean. Good decor. Maid did not leave enough towels on some days and did not replace coffee/tea service. We did get a free breakfast on the last day because we complained about the internet. Free parking. Overall it was a very nice Holiday Inn.”

• Parking blocks away.

“Not a 3 star upscale hotel. Took 3 times before the front desk got our rooms right. The first room did not have anything in it, no beds, no furniture. Parking is a 10 minute walks from the hotel unless you want to pay to valet. Young front desk girl was ready for bed at 8:45 pm on a Saturday night, no shoes, and stocking feet. Need to move this off your 3 star upscale lists. I stayed at the Renaissance last year that is 3 stars upscale in the meadowlands.”

• Hotel Great location to reach Manhattan via New Jersey Transit.
• We stayed at this hotel in the past and the rooms seem a bit more worn.

“Hotel could rise to a 3 star rating if they updated the bed linens. Linens seem worn. Other than that I have no complaints. Friendly and helpful staff and great location, free parking all make this a great place to stay. This is a suggestion and definitely not criticism.”
