• Good for family with kids.
• When checked-in, no room was available at the reserved location. Hard time to find site of another franchise.

“I am afraid the reserved location (1 Plaza Dr., Secaucus, NJ) has been used as a bait. Felt cheated. Hard to find place of the changed hotel.”

• Close approximation to mall, free mall shuttle, short commute to NYC, own kitchen.
• The room smelled strongly of disinfectants.

“The hotel was nice, staff was helpful and friendly, the mall shuttle was convenient, and buses to NYC and local areas was right outside the hotel. Even though I did not use the laundry facility, it was good to know there was one.”

• Friendly staff, great location.
• Cost of taxi to/from Newark airport, no breakfast items.

“This hotel is among a small shopping center which includes several chain restaurants (Red Lobster, Outback, Cheeseburger in Paradise) and a couple of bars and a movie theatre. The rooms are relatively large but you can see the age of the hotel in the furnishings. There is no continental breakfast, just coffee and juice. The bus to Manhattan stops across the street from the lobby and is very convenient. My only gripe is that it was a $50 taxi ride to the hotel and a $70 ride back to the airport. Go figure. I would stay here again as the travel time is worth the money saved by staying in Manhattan.”

• 25 minutes from New York; bus ride away.
• Furniture was outdated.

“There was only an AC unit in the living room area, there was nothing in the bedroom. So if we had someone on the pull out couch they would freeze in order for us to get some air in the bedroom. Poor design.”

• It smelled the mattresses was badly stained and uncomfortable.

• Close to NYC and nice pool and exercise room.
• The woman checking me in seemed very bothered by having to check me in late (11:00 pm) as she was away from the desk and I had to call for her.

“The room was ok and the lobby and pool were nice. The maintenance staff was very pleasant but the late night check in staff seemed bothered by our late check in as if we disturbed her. However, she did ask if I needed a wakeup call and I appreciated her reminding me as I was really tired from a late and long drive.”

• The location was great; easy access to the city.
• The staff, with the exception of rich, was uninformed and unfriendly.

“Clean, convenient, a little pricey for a moderate hotel, but overall, it did the trick. The front desk staff should be better informed about the accommodations offered and learns hospitality.”

• Large room, right by bus stop to Manhattan.
• Didn't appear to be near any coffee shops.

“Clean, large room with 2 comfortable beds; a kitchenette complete with dishes; very quiet; elevators; best of all, right across the street was the bus stop for frequent buses to Manhattan, which was only a 10 to 20 minute ride away. Very convenient for travelers visiting Manhattan!”

• The price is reasonable for the location.
• This hotel should be between 1 star to 1.5 star. Because I stayed with the other 2 stars hotel, they were a lot better in quality.

“The hotel is reasonably clean based on the price. It is located in a convenience location, only 20 minutes bus to New York City. The good thing I liked with the hotel was that we could cook in the hotel room. We saved a lot of money in food. However, when we checked in the room, it was full of other people's cooking smell. I guess, we cannot gain everything all at the same time. I also would suggest the hotel should clean their carpets from time to time.”

• A little farther from the convention center than expected, no CLOSE coffee shop.

“I would stay there again under similar circumstances, enjoyed the staff, room was better than average. Did not try the food service, but there were several good restaurants close”

• The spaciousness of the room was great! And the added sitting area with a couch!
• I am very picky about mattresses and the one we had was very uncomfortable.

“All in all it was a very pleasant stay. We would definitely use this hotel in the future. The staff was very helpful in telling us how to get to places in the Big Apple!”

• Free continental breakfast, close to NJ Transit bus stop.
• No desk clerk at night, also unreachable by phone.

“I travel every weekend for work. This hotel was dirty-when checking in, there was no desk clerk (as is customary w/extended stays) however, the clerk was unreachable by house phone and by calling the regular main hotel phone number, they also ran out of clean linen, brand new cakes of soap (unopened) had strands of hair, etc, etc.”
