  • I liked that the rooms were more like suites, with a small living space and 2 bed bedroom.
  • Our friends traveling with us felt that their rug was very dirty.

  • The hotel is large with plenty of space. And they have a nice free breakfast.
  • A potentially serious issue arose and the front desk did not handle it well. They are inexperience -is inexperienced.

“Very nice but there are problems. Nice and spacious rooms. Relatively clean. Some items in room did not work or work as well as they should. Enjoyed the free daily breakfast-nice selection of items and they stay open for a good length of time. The maid inadvertently left the door to my room opened after she cleaned the room. I did not discover this until I arrived back at the hotel in the evening around 11:30 pm. Thankfully nothing was stolen from the room and no one was actually in the room. When I mentioned this serious problem to the front desk, they responded in a totally inappropriate and inexperienced way-the gentleman suggested that I left the door open prior to leaving for the day and forgot that I did so. When I assured him that I did not leave the door open, he said, "no need to worry, nothing ever happens in this hotel". This was a very poor handling of this potentially serious problem. Any security breach like this should be handled in a more professional manner.”

“Rooms were suite-like, spacious and well maintained with coffee maker and mini-fridge. Beds were comfortable. Excellent breakfast provided until 11 AM in lobby restaurant but area could have been cleaner. Would not hesitate to stay here again.”

  • Room was fabulous - very clean and roomy!
  • No complaints at all! Everything was perfect here!

“Stayed here for our first trip to NYC - had excellent transportation into the city. Very roomy clean room (we had a suite) and the kids loved it! We stayed the previous night in Philadelphia at Double tree hotel and had a horrible stay there (dirty room and linens, unfriendly rude staff, only 1 bed for 4 people) so this La Quinta was a much needed relief to us all! Will stay here again if ever in Jersey for sure.”

“This hotel is ideal for staying outside of the very expensive hotels in Manhattan, the 320 bus stops outside takes 20 minutes to the port authority at 42nd street, it offers a full American buffet breakfast, and the rooms are large and very well maintained, the front desk staff were very helpful and the maid service was excellent.”

“This is a great choice, all suites; easy access to Manhattan, good restaurants and movies nearby, the staff had an excellent attitude and were very helpful. This hotel is my new first choice when I return.”

  • The rooms were recently renovated and close to the New York bus stop.
  • We had to remind the desk a few times to bring extra towels and the internet was not reliable.

“Pretty good hotel. All of the rooms have been renovated and they rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The continental breakfast was good and the bus stop to New York is right across the street. The employees were also very helpful and friendly. However, we did have to call down and remind them to bring extra towels and blankets after we first requested them. When the blanket came, it was full of holes and crusty. Also, their internet wasn't reliable and they are unable to assist you on site. They will give you a phone number to call and they will help you troubleshoot. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely stay at this hotel again!”

  • The rude front desk woman she made the trip very uncomfortable.

“I wanted a room with 2 beds so me and my partner could sleep comfortably, but you booked us a stupidly small pullout couch bed, I can not tell how upset I was. Then I had to pay an extra $125 to get 2 beds. That is a total scam and I would not risk using you again. I travel for a living and I have to always have 2 beds.”

  • LOCATION AND THE PRICE.

“While I was checking in I requested a room with two bed, they told me we cant, because you made reservation one king bed. Me and my friend stayed in one bed for two days. I asked them to change this room many times but was not helped by the hotel. In third days one really kind hotel reception worker help us and we changed our room.”

  • Cleanliness. Continental breakfast much better than most.
  • Although they had a swimming pool there was no hot tub.

“Although a little confusing to reach the hotel by auto, it is well worth the effort. I found the staff pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and everything worked. A free newspaper was provided. The free continental breakfast was much more elaborate than expected, featuring waffles, French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, etc. Many dining options available nearby and shopping, movie complexes, etc minutes away. Overall I give this hotel a high recommendation.”

“This hotel is tough to find the entrance to if you do not know the area. The signage is horrible for the Harmon Meadows. The hotel itself is very nice buy has a horrible parking arrangement. The rooms are real spacious and have been recently renovated. I would recommend.”

  • Brand new rooms, bright and clean. Direct and frequent bus connection to Port Terminal at Times Square.
  • The hotel is a little tricky to get to for people unfamiliar with the area.

“This hotel currently undergoes renovations, which makes it a great bargain. We were not disturbed by any construction work and actually had a brand-new room for a fraction of the regular price. Thus the pictures do not reflect the new look of the hotel. The new rooms are bright and clean with a pull-out sofa for a third/fourth person (incl. two TVs). Parking is free and the bus connection to the Port Authority Bus Terminal (Times Square) is directly in front of the hotel and runs very frequently and until late at night. The complementary breakfast is plus as well. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.”

  • Very disorganized and not professional at all. Fires, construction work, party rooms with kids.

“Their was a party in the room next door with kids until 3 am. The breakfast was cold and their was a small fire on the roof while we were there that made us late for a business meeting in the city. They stuck us on a floor with construction going on that made it so that we had to ask to get to our room past wallpaper workers. Two times our key did not work and we had to go to the front desk to have it reactivated and the hotel did not even know we were staying two nights even though they showed the payment for two nights. The manager was apologetic and somewhat helpful. Thank You.”

  • We were very pleased with our accommodations for the reasonable price.
  • Hotel shuttle service did not extend passed 11:00pm even on special event nights.

“Everything about this hotel was excellent from cleanliness, friendliness, and service. The free breakfast was great. The only problem we had was getting back to the hotel after going to the meadowlands for a night game. No shuttle service and taxis are difficult to get and very expensive! I would suggest they make exceptions for their guests on such occasions even if they have to charge for the service, we would have gladly paid as would've others. Would definitely stay there again when in that area. It was easy to get to NYC and to the airport.”

“The hotel was nice. Bus stop right across the street so it was an easy 20 minute ride to the port authority by time square. Had an awesome view of empire state building from room. Free breakfast was great (eggs, bacon, French toast etc). Had a couple issues with the room. Remote for TV in living room did not work. The was only 2 plug ins behind heavy dresser that held TV, fridge and microwave. Very low water pressure to take shower. Handle on toilet broke. Lucky if you could get more than 1 square at a time of toilet paper it was so thin.”

“This hotel is in terribly shape. The first room the staff given me did not have any pictures on the wall, curtain was missing hanger clips. It looked like a prison. The second room that they gave me had a couple already in the room. Great security in that they gave me a key that opened a room that was occupied. Terrible experience. Makes me wonder about.”

  • Location. Bus stop in front of the hotel that will take you to Time Square in a very short ride.
  • Don't leave the credit card number with them. They charge the hotel stay even though it's already been paid.

  • A/C didn't work in hotel, though room a/c did, 1 of 2 phones innop., incorrect directions on property web site made us get lost for an hour!!

“The hotel staff was helpful, great parking. and free. I wouldn't pay over $100 to stay there again. We didn't see how it was categorized a suite though a lot of space. One of two phones didn't work and wasn't fixed. Walls in room are peeling off behind curtain. Internet was innop. When the sofa bed is out you cannot watch TV located on the floor, should be at eye level. A/C didn't work throughout hotel except in room. Very slow elevators for just the 9 floors (there were 3 I think). Lastly, terrible directions listed on the property web site. I advzd them of this at c/in and the knew of it but didn't seem to care.”

“I had a high expectation for this hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel couldn't match my expectation. Wireless Internet didn't work during my stay (2 days). And there was no business room available, where I could access the Internet. One of the two elevators was also out of order, without any sign that somebody was trying to fix it. It took so long to wait for an elevator. A/C in my bedroom wasn't cold at all. The room wasn't very clean. I found an old chewing gum on the carpet. I think this hotel should have a lower rating. I found several broken door handles and switches.”

  • The rooms were very spacious and was directly in front of the bus stop.
  • Overall the service was wonderful, but there was one very rude person at the front desk that somewhat ruined the stay.

  • It had 2 rooms, nice layout.
  • The coffee maker had old coffee in it.

“Good choice. The location is confusing to get in and out of when driving. The suite was very nice. Excellent floor plan. Close to NYC.”

  • The separate living room with sleeper sofa, and bedroom made for 2 rooms.
  • The food was not very good.

  • Very convenient to Manhattan via BJ Transit bus.
  • Nothing!

“With high rates in Manhattan, the Prime suites is a great alternative, only 25 minutes away via New Jersey Transit Bus that stops right in front of the Hotel. It is a true two room suite hotel.”
