• Beautiful Tranquil grounds with a stream.
• Hard to find as there were no signs indicating directions to the hotel.

“Nice location for those who have a car and wish to venture into NYC, NJ or upstate NY. I would not recommend this hotel for someone without their own transportation.”

• All services compliment a restful, stress free productive stay.
• The reservation "center" for Marriott does not handshake well with the front desk.

“Once I was able to confirm my registration and request a no-smoking room and two double beds I was able to enjoy the experience, but, it took twenty three hours to achieve that goal.”

• Internet access has a $10 charge.

• Nice pool area, pub was convenient for a nightcap.
• A bit difficult to find, parking was far from the entrance (particularly because of how cold it was during our visit).

“It was very clean and the staff was attentive. I always love the toiletries at Marriott.”

• Nice lobby.
• No fridge or microwave in room for making bottles.

“Pretty standard pleasant Marriott but I will have to reconsider staying at Marriott in general as the rooms lack fridge or microwaves which I need to make bottles. I am paying $4/bottle via room service.”

• The pool was great, the kids loved their sleepover. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

• Clean, friendly and quiet.
• We tried to eat in the main restaurant and it was too close to the main entrance - we were freezing.

“The hotel is well kept and the people are friendly. We enjoyed our stay and it exceeded our expectations.”

• The service is amazing, and the staff are wonderful.
• Distance from elevator to room can be quite long walk.

“Room service is great, but food is simply ok. Would love to see a fridge in the room, as I have insulin with me. The staff couldn't be any more friendly and efficient than they are. I love this hotel and have stayed many times.”

• Nothing to dislike.

• This is clearly one of Marriott's top-of-the-line locations.
• There was very little about local sights and sites--all the flyers and brochures were about NYC.

“This hotel is lovely. We'd go there anytime for a night or for an event. The event managers were in evidence and working hard to make the night a success.”

• Accomodated my needs 100% !! We needed a fridge since we brought our own food and they made sure it was in the room when we arrived !!
• They were great!!

“The Marriot is a beautiful hotel with a gorgeous indoor/outdoor pool. serene gardens and fields surround it...Great Bars and Pool table...Perfect weekend getaway if you wanna run from busy New York city life!”

“Like many Marriotts, this one's a mile or so off the beaten path, which makes it a little hard to access. But when you get there, the hotel, the setting and the staff are so nice, you don't mind having to consult your directions a few extra times to get there. We loved it.”

• Perfect location right off the Garden State Pkwy
• You have to walk lots of long corridors before you get to your room

“This is a wonderful place to stay if you are traveling. Easy access off the Garden State Pkwy. Hotel is lovely, area is totally safe, staff helpful, only "bad" part is having to walk first from parking to lobby and then to room, which is often a long way down many corridors. Skip the pricey hotel breakfast buffet and ask the desk for printed directions to the Ridge Diner in Montvale, just a few minutes away.”

• Nice appointed rooms, the kids loved the pool - nice brunch!
• Restaurant (pub) left a little to be desired for dinner, but was OK.

“What more could you want? Beautiful wooded location, nicely appointed lobby & rooms, beautiful indoor & outdoor pool, and decent restaurants on premises. Sunday brunch is buffet and/or a la carte, great for hungry adults *and* kids who only want pancakes. ”

• The staff was terrific. I had to cut my stay one day short because I strained my back. Staff was exceptional.

• Beautiful, comfortable accommodations - coffee in room had real cream, not the dry stuff!!!!

“This hotel was one of the nicest that I've stayed in. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. The bed was soft and fluffy with ample pillows. Staff friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend.”

“The hotel was fine-helpful staff, comfortable room and excellent amenities. However, I had serious problems with their billing system. They also placed over $750 in authorization holds on my credit card. This took 4 hours on the phone to rectify. Corporate relations of hotel chain was not particularly helpful, the financial hotel staff were disorganized but helpful. Eventually the matter was resolved, many apologies were offered, but the 4 hours of phone time is gone forever.”
