• The rooms are put together so beautifully!
• They charge you for water that they leave in your room!

“I would definitely go again! The pool and hot tub weren't 100% clean but not terrible. The service and staff are friendly and enjoyable! The bar was a delight! The shampoo and conditioner were heavenly! my only disappointment was I woke up in the morning and realized the bottle of water I opened in middle of the night had a tag on it that said they charge us $5 for it.”

“The hotel is located in a very nice wooded location, had a lovely pool, jacuzzi and outdoor space. They had two nice restaurants on property. The rooms were a bit small, but clean and well appointed.”

• Room was just redone & bed was most comfortable new rugs in halls.
• Nothing.

“Rooms have just been redone within the past 2 months. Bed was most comfortable that I have ever slept in. Quiet hotel & convenient access to majors roads. Restaurant/bar very good food. Friendly staff all around.”

• Park like setting, close to wonderful restaurants.

“I have stayed at this Marriott before and always find it to be quiet, convenient and enjoyable. It is very well located; close to the Garden State Parkway, fantastic restaurants and within walking distance to the North American headquarters of Sony & BMW. Great spot!”

• Great front desk staff ! Helpful and courteous.
• Housekeeper knocks on everyone's door at 8:15 AM to find out when they will be leaving. She woke me and I found this practice annoying.

• Beautiful grounds, easy access to highway, great pool area.
• The morning desk worker was not knowledgeable about stores in area.

“I was absolutely blown away by the surrounding area & the hotel grounds. Not at all what I was expecting. We walked on a bridge over a brook to get from the parking lot to the lobby. We even saw a bunch of rabbits grazing by the side of the road when we went out for dinner that evening. I would absolutely go back again.”

• Really clean spacious attractive with a nice pool and lobby.
• Staff was somewhat unhelpful pop machine broken, no lobby internet.

“The hotel sits in a lovely backdrop of plant and trees and the pool resides both indoors and out which was a real treat for the changing whether. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Nice large space with plenty of options for dining, sleeping, or visiting. Halls were a bit long making another elevator seem necessary, but other than that, this place was well recommended.”

• The Park Ridge Marriott is a very lovely setting.
• The brunch is too expensive.

“I have had really fine experiences in the past at this hotel. This time, however, my husband and son were woken up at 7:30 a.m. because there was confusion about my payment method of the brunch. This infuriated me, because we come to the hotel to sleep late and unwind. I will still return to this hotel, but I was very unhappy at the way the hotel handled this situation.”

• The staff was great.
• No wireless internet, not clean.

“There were beer cans outside our ground floor room. The patio door frame was busted. The staff was friendly. There was no wireless available not even in the lobby so we couldn't use our laptop and the only place they had computers (you had to pay) was in the gift shop and it was closed most of the time we were there. The hotel grounds were nice.”

• Beautiful lobby and grounds, nice pools, friendly staff.
• Decor was dated and bathroom needed renovating. I understand the hotel will be updated soon.

“This hotel met our expectations we are repeat guests and would stay again. The hotel lobby and grounds are beautiful with a wonderful atrium in the center. The pools were very nice as well and the staff was very friendly. The only drawback was that the room and bath were dated, although I understand that they will be refurbished later this year. The beds were very comfortable.”

• The bed was fabulous.
• The check out process was way to slow,

“This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are very quiet and the beds are out of this world. I generally like to check out at the desk just to verify my bill. They had one person working and he worked with one person before I finally just dropped my in the box and left. All the restaurants close at 5 p.m..”

• I liked the staff, the hotel and the location the beds were very comfortable and the bedding was very nice.
• I would like to see the dust behind the head board cleaned, also all the nooks and crannies.

• Had to pay for Internet use.

“Enjoyed my stay, no complaints about the Marriott per se; but as mentioned above, I have noticed that pricier hotels (Marriott, Hyatt, etc.) will usually charge for daily internet usage (usually ~$10), whereas less expensive hotels often provide free in-room Internet use. I find this practice highly annoying, but doubt there is much I can do about it.”

• Private stairway to Pool & Hot Tub.
• Too many noisy kids parties going on in pool area, and for too long.

“Great isolated, woodsy setting in corporate park, just off Garden State Parkway in Northern New Jersey. Nice rooms, connected indoor/outdoor pool & hot tub. Beautiful landscaping. Have stayed here several times when en route to NYC for Broadway matinees. Swimming pool parties can be loud if your room faces the indoor/outdoor pool areas. Good rates on weekends.”

• The room was a little smaller than I expected.

“I paid $75 for a night when the regular rate was $134, which my friend actually paid when he booked the room upon arrival. It was a great hotel for the price.”

• The Park Ridge Hotel has an indoor outdoor pool--very cool!
• Don't need 20 words or five--great place!

• Hard to find as there were no signs indicating directions to the hotel.

• All services compliment a restful, stress free productive stay.
• The reservation "center" for Marriott does not handshake well with the front desk.

“Once I was able to confirm my registration and request a no-smoking room and two double beds I was able to enjoy the experience, but, it took twenty three hours to achieve that goal.”

• Nice pool area, pub was convenient for a nightcap.
• A bit difficult to find, parking was far from the entrance (particularly because of how cold it was during our visit).

“Pretty standard pleasant Marriott but I will have to reconsider staying at Marriott in general as the rooms lack fridge or microwaves which I need to make bottles. I am paying $4/bottle via room service.”

• We tried to eat in the main restaurant and it was too close to the main entrance - we were freezing.

• Distance from elevator to room can be quite long walk.

• This is clearly one of Marriott's top-of-the-line locations.
• There was very little about local sights and sites--all the flyers and brochures were about NYC.

“This hotel is lovely. We'd go there anytime for a night or for an event. The event managers were in evidence and working hard to make the night a success.”

• Accomodated my needs 100% !! We needed a fridge since we brought our own food and they made sure it was in the room when we arrived !!
• They were great!!

“Like many Marriotts, this one's a mile or so off the beaten path, which makes it a little hard to access. But when you get there, the hotel, the setting and the staff are so nice, you don't mind having to consult your directions a few extra times to get there. We loved it.”
