• Free parking.
• Remote control didn't work; no WiFi.

“We try to stay near but not in Manhattan. Aside from having to use the Lincoln Tunnel, this is a good location right off the highway. The room was extremely quiet and comfortable. Parking is free and immediately outside the hotel. There is a Starbucks on the ground floor.”

• Proximity to Giants Stadium.
• No free internet access from rooms.

“Great place to stay for a Giants game - clean and comfortable rooms with good service. There were some extra charges you could rack up though: internet in the rooms start at $9 a night and a shuttle to Giants stadium costs you a "nominal fee" as well. No HDTV either.”

• Location, free parking, concern of front desk to accommodate.
• Issue with towels was unbelievable. No in-room serves or refrigerator.

“The front desk was wonderful upon arrival. The room had 2 towels, 1 bath mat, 2 wash clothes and 2 hand clothes. Asking us to avoid laundry for environmental reasons! Very poor water pressure, refrigerator (even a mini-bar)or microwave. Location was great. Response to getting more towels was very good, but we had to ask every time. We were there for 7 days. We both shower twice daily. We made a lot of phone calls.”

• Shuttle service provided by the hotel was great.
• There is no restaurant/shop in the neighborhood. We are forced to eat the breakfast at the hotel which is expensive.

“It was a very unpleasant stay. I drove long way to move to another city, so
I chose this hotel as a middle stop. I was seeking for convenience and comfort so that I can take good rest and drive safely. However, I got at least ten(10) bug bites over my body at that night. Those bites are not cured now! they itch a lot. In addition, the facilities in the room actually are kinda old. such as TV, desk and there was
no fridge in the room. Can you agree this is a 3.5 star hotel from all that? It is definitely overrated.”

• Location to the Stadium. Roomy room.
• Drain in tub was backed up or slow. Found a shoe under the bed and a receipt behind a chair.

• Convenience, comfort, accommodating.
• Restaurant was a little pricey - but then again it is NYC.

“My son and I stayed overnight for a NY Giant game. The hotel was modern, clean and extremely comfortable. The location was perfect and when we were denied access to stadium parking, we were allowed to park in the hotel lot, even though we had stayed the night before. A quick 15 minute walk to the stadium worked out perfectly. We have attended one game per year over the past four years and always stayed approximately 30 miles away to save money, but after our experience Sheraton, we will be staying there from now on.”

• The location.
• Lack of cleanliness in the rooms.

“I usually love the Sheraton Brand but the rooms in this hotel are small, dirty, and outdated. They provide plastic cups for the room, there were no pens, paper and refrigerators were not available to me. The rooms themselves are small, the bathroom a postage stamp but well enough for one person. The staff was very polite and attentive, the Starbucks was nice and the link was a great addition to the property.”

• Nice modern lobby and free parking.
• Clogged plumbing, Indifferent staff. Dirty room.

“We checked in around midnight and were given a room on the 6th floor. The room was relatively spacious and comfortable but needed renovation. The bathroom was tiny and the bathtub and sink were clogged. The next day, our room was not cleaned despite making several calls to housekeeping. We were eventually moved to a new room with working plumbing after complaining to management.”

• Nice lobby with Starbucks coffee in the room.
• The hallway and elevators are kind of old. Staff and service are not impressive.

“The hotel is pretty far from NYC and it's kind of hard to get to here especially when it is dark and without GPS. Free parking and Starbuck coffees are pluses.”

“This hotel was close to everything, yet our room was quiet and comfortable. Recently renovated, all of the common areas and rooms were outstandingly clean and modern. The amenities were great, too--even down to the complimentary body wash and shampoo! We definitely recommend this hotel!”

• Bed was very comfy!
• No fridge or microwave. Poor room set-up, seemed small.

“We were not very pleased with this hotel. Room was smaller than expected (even though they said we got a corner room which was larger than others. Would hate to see the other rooms. Remote control had issues, shower was so sensitive to find hot and cold that it needed perfect precision to not be freezing or boiling, no fridge or microwave, stains on carpet at bed area were very unattractive, bathroom exhaust fan didn't work. I wouldn't have this hotel under a 3+ star rating, that's for sure. We like Courtyard better.”

• The hotel was nice for the price with pool and hot tub.
• The staff was not very helpful - almost rude.

“I would stay again but would do more research before going. Although the hotel offered shuttle to the train station (to get to NYC) they were not very helpful about how to use the system or the use of maps. Tips: Parking in NYC is very expensive (we paid $49 for 2 hours) and the traffic can be a bit much, so take the train in to Penn Station, then the Subway is right there for all of NYC for $7.50 for an all day pass.”

• Hundreds of guests right in front of the hotel entrance smoking.

“Hotel met our needs and was okay - not great, not awful but okay. The smokers outside created a thick cloud of cigarette smoke near the main entrance. Also, the hotel has charged me an additional $13.90 for a movie I didn't watch. Once that's resolved, I'll be satisfied.”

• Indifferent staff, housekeeping was not paying attention to detail.

“Check-in was fast and efficient, while not overly friendly. There is an air of polite indifference towards the guests among the staff. We were assigned a rather noisy room at the elevator. Upon arrival we did not have any water bottles in the room. The following day we had the water bottles, but the bathroom amenities were not replenished, although empty. There were hairs and stains all over the bed sheets and cushions. The first morning we received a newspaper, the second morning no newspaper. Overall service was inconsistent and very basic. Room service closes at 11 pm and the first morning shuttle to the Secaucus train station leaves only at 10:00 am which is late for Manhattan visitor. The taxi to that train station was $30. The bellman refused to call us a metered taxi and we were forced to take a limousine service of his choice, which did cost us extra money. Would not recommend this hotel and would not stay again. Have seen cleaner rooms and better staff attitude at Econo Lodge and Roadway Inn.”

• Housekeeping knocked on our door despite do not disturb sign, shortly after we checked in.

“Convenient location for the business traveler, but relatively basic. Nothing stood out as excellent, but only minor quibbles - no signs for the ice machine, no ventilation in the bathroom.”

• Did not refresh towels on 2nd day & there was some mold in shower.

“The hotel itself was nice. The rooms were nice except the mold in the shower. It also would have been nice to have fresh towels for the 2nd day. The transportation to NY city could have been easier too.”

• Walls were thin, very noisy, inconvenient to NY city.

“The walls were so thin I could hear my neighbor's wake up call (one night at 1:30am!) and their toilet flushing very loudly about every 15 minutes. The noise level did not allow for a good night's sleep. The shuttle service to the train station was okay except it did not start until 10am and there was no service back to hotel between 4-6pm. Would not stay here again.”

• The AM shuttle to Secaucus starts too late- it should begin before 9 AM.

“I liked the hotel for cleanliness and staff courtesy. The only negative was the late start for the shuttle to Secaucus station-it really should start before 9 AM.”

• The hotel was very clean. It had an excellent view of New York City skyline. The response of the front desk to requests was very prompt.
• The Transportation to Buses and trains did not begin until 9:00am and also ended early.

“This was a very clean and responsive hotel. The view of NY city was very nice. It has a nice pool and exercise area. The access to NY city could be improved by extending transportation to buses and trains to earlier and later hours. The front desk was very responsive but their knowledge of local attractions could be improved. When asked for driving directions to Coney Island they gave directions that would take 12 hours which I knew was wrong.”

• I loved the fitness center. The pool was nice also.

• Easy commute into Manhattan with free shuttle to train station; nice rooms; friendly staff.
• Smoke smell in room disappointing.

“The staff was friendly and accommodating; room service was reasonably priced; rooms were nice. except smoking is allowed and it was obvious by the smell and random cigarette burns in the upholstery. Suggestion to more thorough in cleaning, especially after housing pets.”
