“How this ever rec. a 2-3 star rating is absurd, this is worse than the super 8 next door, more like a 49.95 a night motel, elevator lobby dirty, rooms metal fire door, breakfast buffet a grease crab filled buffet, staff no idea of what they are doing, hook up to your cmp and its costs $80 for a phone call, local. stay away from here do not stay here.” Jun 5, 2006 by
Jim from West Chester, PA
“This is a great suite hotel within a short drive to the Jersey beaches, perfect for a family get away.” Jun 5, 2006 by
Richie from Farmersville, TX
“Take this hotel off your site. It is a converted Motel and is NOT a 2-1/2 star hotel. It isn't a hotel at all. It was dirty, it was dark, mildew smelling, and it was not safe as someone constantly propped open the back key-entry door. I was there for 3 days and three bags of rotting trash were in the walkway and remained there for the duration of my stay.” Jun 1, 2006 by
Kate from Long Beach, NY
“We enjoyed our stay very much. My kids have stayed at many different places all over the country and didn't complain, not once. That's how you know it was a good experience.” May 27, 2006 by
Chris from Long Valley, NJ
“I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone and I would absolutely not pay full price or anywhere near full price for the rooms. The room that I had was damp and smelled musty. The hotel staff was rude. When I checked in, the employee did not tell me anything (breakfast times, pool, etc) except where my room was. This hotel is nowhere near a 2.5 star hotel!” May 26, 2006 by
Karen from Bureau, IL
“Was nice.” May 22, 2006 by
Drew from Santa Monica, CA
“It's not a hotel review, but since I answered the other questions, I figured I'd ask what I wanted to ask here: why I was given a 2 1/2 star hotel, when I big on a 3? How did that work?” May 18, 2006 by
Kathy from Murrells Inlet, SC
“My stay was not great. After driving for 12 hours I was told my credit card was not approved at check in when it was being charged for incidentals, knowing this was not possible, I asked to use the phone at the front desk to call the credit card company. I was not allowed to use phone. I was told that they needed to keep the line open. I had prepaid, so I was able to go to my room and I called from there. I was told there was no issue with my card and it was not rejected. I went to the front desk to have them run it again and the clerk, in front of other customers said that there was no mistake that the other customers charge was not declined. I was not really happy about this. I did speak to the manager the next day and they did give me a free night for a future stay, which was acceptable. Two days later I returned back to my room late at night and it was raining very hard. The rain started coming into the room right through the closed window. Dripping on to the eclectic air conditioner below the window. I ended up having to change rooms at 3:00 in the morning. My room also had two holes in the ceiling in the bathroom. Also, three different times while staying there my key some how stopped opening my door, and had to be reprogrammed. Not a big deal, but by the third time I had to wait about 20 minutes at the front desk to just have this done. All and all not the best stay. The location was good the size of the rooms are good, but worn down. If you can get it for a good rate.” May 10, 2006 by
Lino from Dearborn, MI
“Staff were not very friendly or attentive, but for the price we got. We were not expecting much.” May 9, 2006 by
Deedee from Washington, DC
“I thought the location was great. I was very disappointed with the very visible carpet stains through the hotel. Hotel has probably seen it's better days. Seems like it's time for some major renovations to become a decent three star hotel.” May 9, 2006 by
Colin from Wilmington, DE
“Generally the hotel suited our requirements - overnight stay to attend a wedding held nearby. The staff were very helpful and overall the hotel was clean. Unfortunately the hotel could do with some TLC, caulking gun and maintenance report left in room showed there was work being done. The external doors not working, requiring guests to park and then carry luggage through the reception area not what you would expect from a hotel of this 'star quality'.” May 6, 2006 by
Jim from Waldorf, MD
“The Hotel is need of a face lift. Our room was spacious but the positive things ended there. Pull out couch was not changed and food was on the sheets, not usable. My 14 year old daughter had to sleep with my wife and I in the king bed. The bathroom had mold and mildew in the caulk and tile. Chairs had stains all over, not usable. I mentioned this to the hotel clerk at check out and he looked at me like a deer in headlights. He said nothing offered no apologies. I was not in any mood to deal with any other issues as we stayed in the hotel to go to my brothers funeral. Very disappointed.” Apr 29, 2006 by
Marietta from Anchorage, AK
“Excellent location. however, little problems were not solved: two lamps had no light bulbs and they said they were backordered, dirty room so I had to request another, no ability to give receipt for gift shop items.” Dec 8, 2005 by
Alan from Spring Valley, NY
“Last year we went to Residence Suites, which was very close by. For a small difference in price, Residence Suites was far and away a superior choice. As I remember, your website had them rated the sames, sunrise Suites was sort of drab and dingy, although otherwise neat and well run.” Jul 21, 2005 by
Mike from Cliffwood Beach, NJ
“Staff was very nice and helpful. My room was very big and pretty clean. The bed was very new and top quality with nice and clean sheets/blankets. 10 minutes to the beach, 30 seconds from Garden State Parkway. This hotel is highly recommended.” Mar 16, 2005 by
Doug from Cleveland, OH
“If you're in this area, Sunrise Suites is definitely the hotel to be in, regardless of the price you pay.” Mar 15, 2005 by

“Very functional hotel for the business traveler. A room layout conducive to doing business at the hotel, as well as breakfast and happy hour service made this stay productive and comfortable.” Feb 16, 2005 by
Jim from Fort Washington, PA
“The one bedroom suites were unspectacular but serve the purpose. The swimming pool was lilliputian. The price was hard to beat.” Feb 8, 2005 by
Rachel from Long Branch, NJ
“Reasonable rates and great breakfast and friendly staff. You can't beat the value.” Jan 30, 2005 by
Michael from Bristol, PA
“I think it was a nice place to stay and i would reccomend it to other people” Jan 13, 2005 by
Lee from Kokomo, IN
“ The hotel is old, with outdated items, and the bed was very hard--not a good nights rest. The breakfast was nice though. All in all, I expected it to be nicer for a 2 1/2 star hotel.” Jan 10, 2005 by
Jim from Rouses Point, NY
“In my opinion, Sunrise Suites is far worse than the Residence Inn. I had to wait 5 minutes upon entering for a desk person to appear; the front desk was unmanned at 3PM. The bathroom sign suggesting that saved washing of unsoiled towels could end worldwide drought was next to a perpetually running toilet. The heating units were incapable of producing a temperate room climate.” Hotel Representatives:
