“Holiday Inn Tinton Falls is very close to count Basie Theater in Red Bank. The cab ride costs around $15 each way. The hotel concierge gives you information about the shuttle. Of course, you have to make reservations in advance.”

- Lobby was recently remodeled and looked nice.
- Rooms smelled of smoke, room service closed at 9pm, and store unable to apply charges to room. Staff was indifferent at best and rude as general rule.

- Uncomfortable beds; noisy; teeny fitness center; broken ice machine on floor.
“This hotel is easy to get to - right off of the Garden State Pkwy. It is not a 3-star hotel - 2 would be pushing it. Beds are lousy and the rooms aren't sound-proofed, so it tends to get very noisy from people walking in the halls, or watching TV in nearby rooms. The "fitness center" has 1 treadmill and 1 stepper and 1 weight bench.”

- Noise level was intolerable; in lobby especially but also in room.
“Can't imagine how this hotel ever received a 3 star rating. When we walked in you had to nearly scream to converse with the reception desk staff due to the loud music coming from the attached restaurant/bar. The hotel was very old and run down. Had to sleep with TV on to drown out room noise next door. TV remote only worked half the time.”

- Great Restaurant, room service, highway access, beach access.
- No refrigerator. Pool was closed.
“Great place to stay, location is awesome, clean; food at Morgan's is really good at reasonable prices. Short drives to the shore, NY, Atlantic City. Garden State Parkway access 1/4 mile away. This is family friendly for short stays, but not long ones. No refrigerator and the pool was closed. I know it was after labor day, but it was 87 degree's out. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and will return.”

“This hotel was fine for the price. My biggest complaint: the TV reception was horrible. I stayed myself with my 3 kids (ages 7, 5, 3) and felt safe, the hotel was clean, and had no problems with check in or check out. The staff was very nice. I would stay there again if in the area.”

- We had ants in room.
“This is a very nice hotel for the price and for the most part is clean, except we did have some ants in our room. The lobby if very nice and the staff are excellent. Has bar restaurant attached which appears to be nice? (we did not eat there). Only thing that irritated me about my stay there was that in a two week stay we had to keep having our room key reset as it would stop working after about a day or two. We got this room well bellow the hotels asking price and that made it an excellent deal. They do not provide a full breakfast as some other hotels do, but this is better than the other two hotels that are near by. I would stay there again if I had to visit the area.”

- Lower staff needs better training.
“This hotel was close to parkway and overall not bad, the major problem was the wedding that let out at 2; 00am and set up the bar in the next room. They were cursing yelling and slamming doors till 5:00 am. I called the desk 3 times, and was told there was no security but the desk clerk would address the problem. He did and was pushed out of the room and the noise continued. The clerk tried to no avail till 5am, so the noise finally stopped, at 7:00 am and the nice clerk called me to offer me a breakfast comp before his shift was over. At 8:00 I spoke with the manager that offered a night a refund and breakfast. The hotel needs better policy's to deal with unrolled guests. This was not the 3 star that was expected.”

- My phone did not work. I was there seven nights! I was told that the part was not in. The room above mine had water seep through the ceiling.
“The water seepage was not addressed during my stay. I was not offered another room and only after I insisted that they not offer the room to guests was my problem resolved. The front counter representatives were young and lacked experience. The phone was never repaired during my stay either. Apart from those two inconveniences not bad. The price was excellent!”

- Four ice machines on the fritz.
“I tried to check in at 2 but had to wait until later as there wasn't a room ready. The front desk staff were competent and offered to store my suitcase. The hotel bar was really smoky, so much so I gave it a miss. They are pushing the reuse of towels as being environmentally friendly but gladly brought me new ones when I asked. In order to fill my ice bucket I visited 4 ice machines which all produced a lot of noise but very little ice. The hotel was quite clean and the room was large and had good temperature controls. The mattress was good and the room felt comfortable. All in all it was a good stay.”

- Not too far from beach, easy access from highway if traveling through Garden State Parkway.
- The lobby, elevators reeked of smoke, the rooms were decent but the comforters seemed like they hadn't been washed in some time.
“ The hotel is way too smokey though. The pool was nice, but we had to call several times to get towels because we obeyed the request not to take towels from the room.Restaurant was decent and we appreciate the free meals for kids.”

- It has a very well-decorated lobby and a bustling, modern on-site bar/restaurant.
- The bathrooms are outdated with sub-par fixtures, dirty walls, dirty shower curtain and a non-draining tub that I had to have fixed in order to shower
“The location is close to major roads, a mall and many restaurants, but is quiet/peaceful. The lobby is well-decorated and the bar-restaurant is hopping, BUT the hotel rooms are sub-par. I found a bug on my bedspread, several small gnats flying in the room, and the bathroom was gross. The bath's wallpaper was old and very dirty, and the fixtures and flooring looked outdated and dirty as well. After one shower, I had to call Maintainance to have them unplug the clogged tub drain. I asked for a new room but the woman only offered me a maintainance call. The staff was friendly, but that did not help the fact that the room felt dirty and outdated - particularly the bath. They should spend more money updating the bathrooms and less on the mostly useless lobby. Also, on my second day in the hotel, the Housekeeping department did not clean my room at all, and when I reported it to the Front Desk, the lady just said "sorry" and did not offer me any service of any kind. Overall, I was disappointed,”

- I was placed in a room on the 5th floor and there were men at my window at 7am. when I asked the construction crew to move my vehicle, I was cursed at
“There were empty rooms and I should have been given better accomadations. I arrived at 4:14PM for a #PM check-in and my room was not ready and the staff paid me off with 2 food and beverage vouchers $5 each. When it came to checking out and I asked for an extention. I was held to the 1:00PM time and therefore, had to pack in a hurry and check out at 10 AM instead. I should have been compensated with a free night or some other ammenities. Instead, I was made to feel humiliated and afraid of the outside construction men used by the Holiday Inn. ”

- It was clean, the hotel/room was very nice and bed very comfortable.
- the shower liner was too small and the floor got soaked when we took showers.
“We ate in the hotel restaurant, Morgans's, the food was good and our server, Patti, was excellent. She went out of her way to make us happy and was very friendly. The pool and fitness center were sufficient and the hotel was very clean. Room service was prompt and not too overpriced, food was good too. I would stay here again. Location convenient to Racetrack and beaches and Parkway.”

- This hotel felt very safe, I was with 2 small children and value that greatly.
- They were renovating at the time of my stay but surely that's only temporary.
“This hotel was an excellent bargain. The staff was friendly and polite. The hotel was clean and provided all of the amenities needed, fridge, microwave, pool, etc. I felt very safe and comfortable. I was pleased with the cleanliness and would stay there again.”

“Hotel needs upgrading of public areas; dirty carpets, peeling wallpaper. Good rooms. Uneven staff. Good fitness room but lacks indoor spa/jacuzzi. Good highway location. Needs lobby computer for email access (we all don't carry laptops). Not up to par with other Holiday Inns I've stayed at.”
