• The beds and pillows were really comfortable and the room had a nice, styled look to it.
• Location off the highway is almost dangerous.

“Hyatt Place hotels are attractively decorated, with good quality furnishings. The rooms have sleeper sofas, so there is plenty of bed space available if traveling with a group. The free breakfast is good with cereal, yogurt, fruit, and bagels, and a hot breakfast can be purchased for an additional fee.”

• Hotel was nicely decorated and was very comfortable.
• Bathroom was small, clean, but needed a face lift.

“Hyatt was a very nice stay. Room had HUGE plasma TV. Room was a bit larger than average. I always bring my own linens when I rent a room, but felt no need to use them here. Bath was small toilet and tub/shower inside sink was outside. Bath was not as luxurious as the rest of the room but still not bad. All in all a great stay was very relaxing.”

• I had to kill a huge bug in bathroom!

“Check in was terrible. Woman was trying to multi task and couldn't do it. I had to kill a huge bug in my bathroom the morning that I was checking out. I informed the manager at the desk of this and she stated, "the rain brings them out, I'm sorry, can I offer you breakfast on us". I did leave the dead bug on the floor in the bathroom, maybe a professional can help them with their infestation problem.”

• Refrigerator in room, free parking, free breakfast with lots of choices.
• No weights in workout room.

“Nice convenient hotel with friendly staff. Employee directed us on how to get to their sister hotel in Seacaucus so we could catch the bus into NYC. Continental breakfast was good with several choices.”

• Enterance to hotel really sneak up to you and address does not match up with navigation systems.

• The food was absolutely abominable I could not eat it it.

• Interior of the guest room.
• Entrance was mess because of the leakage from the roof.

“Tricky to find the entrance from major access road. Detailed or easier to understand map may help. Otherwise it is an excellent hotel to stay. Complementary breakfast was also great especially fruits.”

• The room was spacious and clean. The sitting area provided extra room for us to use for relaxing. The indoor pool was very good for the kids.
• The bathroom was a little small.

• Very modern, clean and convenient, great breakfast buffet.
• Wide screen TV in room was nice, but layout wasn't convenient viewing location for either the bed or sofa.

“Very convenient location with good access to north Manhattan via GW bridge or various locations in north NJ. Very modern furnishings, comfortable bed. We found the staff to be very friendly and went out of their way to help us with directions. Great breakfast buffet.”

“The toilet got clogged from toilet paper. I asked for another room because it was around 1 in the morning. What kind of hotel has their toilet clogged with toilet paper? They gave me a plunger to use.”

• Very clean, free parking, breakfast included (Chaotic). Everything for the money.
• At breakfast, employees very slow. Cutlery, crockery and food running out. Only interest was when the session would be over so they can leave.

“Hotel was truly magnificent for our needs and the price was excellent. Use of free internet and printer was a major plus to get directions for different locations in N.J and N.Y. For a stranger, the directions are a nightmare. Also, relocating the hotel was sometimes very stressful because of its location and signage.”

• The locate is terrible. It is located on a busy highway.

• The toilet/bathtub looked outdated.

“The hotel was very nice looking. The lobby and room was very well setup. The staff was friendly. The morning breakfast was plentiful and constantly restocked until they closed. The bathroom seemed like it wasn't updated along with the rest of the room. The toilet was kind of wobbly and bathtub looked old but it was nothing that took away from the rest of the experience. Good hotel, would go again.”

• Not as clean as one would hope. Door hinges and holders in bathroom had not been cleaned in a long while. Hallways had litter our entire stay.

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were treated very well. I had requested a room facing the woods and they accommodated us. It was a pleasure to find that this hotel is completely non-smoking. However, I did smell smoke our second day there on our floor. Not sure where it came from though. I think cleanliness is the one area this hotel needs to work on. When the litter in the halls was there when we arrived and still there two days later, that is very poor housekeeping. When we went for the continental breakfast, there were lots of crumbs on the floor. The first day, someone did come and sweep, but left the pile on the floor; they did not get rid of it. The second morning, again there were a lot of crumbs on the floor and counter. Both days, I found numerous dirty spoons in the spoon container. The spoons appeared to have gone through a dishwasher but never got cleaned and had dried up residue on them. That was really gross! The room had not had a thorough cleaning in some time. When I can wipe dust off of hinges and toilet paper holders, you know the room has been neglected. They also need to give their housekeeping staff some carpet cleaner. We have stayed here before and both times we observed stains on the carpet that could easily be cleaned up with some spray touch up carpet cleaner. It just detracts from the room when you see stains on the carpet. I think this hotel really needs to work on housekeeping if they want to improve their image. Other than the lack of attention to cleanliness.”

• Nice, crisp sheets and fluffy towels.
• Lobby and hallways were dirty with food left outside the rooms for a considerable amount of time.

“The management is lacking in quality control. It had dirty carpets and an unfinished paint job on the walls that when we left two days later was still not finished. The covered entranceway was leaking and a bucket was placed underneath. The room had quite a few black stains in the carpet and the bathroom had a large rust stain on the shower wall. All things that could have been fixed if someone was paying attention and cared enough to make the hotel look presentable.”

• The location is horrible! It's so easy to miss the turn into the hotel because it's literally right off the highway.

“I would definitely stay here again. We ordered food and brought it to our room. It was reasonably priced and tasted good. The rooms were very clean and the designers made good use of the space. The staff was really friendly and helpful.”

• No microwave. No bar. No vending machines.

“Overall, this hotel is excellent. You get a newly designed spacious suite at a very competitive price that is right by a major shopping mall in NJ and only minutes from NYC. The suite was very clean and the big/flat screen TV is awesome that can be viewed from both the bedroom and living room areas. The hotel also has a nice indoor pool area and small fitness room with treadmills. The lobby is very modern with chairs; flat screen TVs, and a cafe area where you can order food via a touch screen. The only thing lacking was a microwave in the room or cafe area; however, the staff kindly offered to heat up my food. No bar either, however plenty of nice bars/restaurants locally. Friendly service and overall, a great experience!”

“Nice hotel, nice decoration and good size room for a family. The bathroom might need some upgrade. The only down point --- you don't feel welcome from the staffs. They all acted like the owner of the hotel and you're the one who beg for a room from them. Very weird!”

• The hotel was being renovated, and the process was not complete.

“Overall, the rooms were very comfortable, although not as clean as I would have like (tile in bath not clean). The renovations that were in process made the hotel awkward and uncomfortable. The location was not friendly to walking to shops and restaurants, with the exception of a restaurant next door.”

“This Amerisuites will soon be a Hyatt place, and is nearing completion of renovation. The lobby is under construction, hence the low score for public space quality. The room was very comfortable, with very nice decor, furniture, and amenities. Cheap plastic cups were disappointing, and bath tub was rusty - despite being a renovated room. Otherwise, a very good stay.”

• Plasma TV and really comfortable bed with lots of pillows!
• Hotel was under renovations and breakfast was served in a cramped meeting room.

“Hotel is under renovations right now and is converting over to a Hyatt place. The room itself was very nice and comfortable, but since the hotel is under renovations, the public areas were a mess. However, I would stay here again.”

“The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was very nice and the bed was most comfortable continental breakfast every morning and coffee served 24/7 in the lobby. Although they are upgrading their lobby, it was still nice looking. Hotel staff were very friendly, especially Sarah. I would recommend to my friends and will definitely stay there next time.”

• Great aesthetics to the room. Had a modern feeling. Loved the big screen flat TV.
• It was supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. But smelled like smoke in the room. Bad allergies.

• Noisy group staying in hotel-most breakfast items empty by 8 AM.

“We loved the location, the price was great for the area. Several large groups were staying here, many teens with limited supervision. The pool area was unruly and teens roamed the hotel at all hours of the day.”
