• It was very easy to get transportation into Manhattan from this location.

• Room appeared to be recently renovated to a more modern/clean appearance.
• Location of parking-although adequate, the parking garage was behind the building.

“Good views of the Manhattan skyline on the east side. West side was in an industrial area. Overall good price and location. Pool was nice but small. Restaurant was okay but more tailored for breakfast.”

• Great deal for what we paid for. Staff
  is very friendly. Facility is clean and organized.
• Perhaps due to booking, both Marriott Courtyards are not flexible in accommodating bed types in rooms.

“The hotel is what we had expected, know the area before, good location and all. And we indeed got a great deal for that. Only upset was that me and my wife traveled with 2 teens, an infant, all I want is one king bed room for us with the infant, and the other room with 2 beds for my two teens. Called a month ahead of time, got 2 kings upon check in. One of my kid had to sleep in a roll away after abusing each other verbally. Offered to pay the different even the category is the same, they just wouldn't do it because they said that is what the system offered and it can not be offered. I worked in hotel sales and front desk many years.”

• No shuttle from airport has to be scheduled for arrival only.

“Need shuttle at all times, bad experience calling for taxi by an employee at dollar rentals she called taxi and he paid her off and charged us $160.00 one way to hotel.”

• Bus stop for Manhattan right outside hotel. Subway sandwich right next door. Free parking. Only 15 minutes from the city.
• Carpet was hideous. Continental breakfast should have been included.

“Great location. Friendly staff. Quiet hotel with all the amenities. Free parking. We stayed there four nights so really got a feel for the place. The pool was nice and warm. Workout room was adequate. I am very picky about hotels and this was decent for the price.”

• Waitress was friendly but spoke with such a heavy accent, was hard to understand at times.

“Beautiful style and design in room as well as throughout the entire hotel. Top notch for a 2 1/2 star hotel. Buffet breakfast had everything you could want and many items I didn't know I wanted but thoroughly enjoyed.”

“Good location, easy to find this hotel. Also, easy access to New York City as the bus stops right out in the front of the hotel into Manhattan. Staff at front desk and the maintenance cleaning staff was very nice, friendly. However, my husband and I did not like the attitude of the woman bartender during the week, she seemed very annoyed to see us and she was too busy watching Jeopardy with her regular customers on TV, instead of paying attention to her guests. There was a male bartender on the week ends much better, give him the job. She acts like this job is a real chore for her. Not a friendly nice person.”

• The location was excellent; it is located just down the street from Medieval Times in Lyndhurst.
• There were no snack machines in the vending area.

“The staff was friendly and helpful. There were even complimentary cookies for guests checking in. The room was clean and tastefully decorated, with a very comfortable bed. This hotel has express checkout, which was very helpful. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.”

• Next to the highway and face a very busy street. Lots of street noises which can be heard in the room.

• The staff and location was great.
• The water in the pool was very cold. The bar was directly in the lobby when you entered the hotel.

“This was a very well kept hotel. The rooms were very clean. The staff was excellent. They were very eager to please and very helpful with any questions that we had. One of the best things about this hotel was that the bus into port authority New York was directly on the corner of the hotel. This made it very convenient to get to New York without driving. The port was in a very good location.”

“Got off the highway and ran straight into the hotel so easy to get to. Easy bus trip into new York city with stop right outside the hotel - 25 min. During the day - a quick 15 mines. Back late at night. Staff was courteous and helpful.”

• The restaurant was not worth the money.

“Overall the hotel was pretty nice. It had convenient options such as a fitness center, indoor pool, and small market to buy food at any time of the day. The bed was very comfortable. The people who worked there were friendly and helpful. The bathroom was very nice, very nice shower with great shower head. The food at the hotel could have been better, not really worth the price they charge.”

• The prices in the restaurant were a bit high.

“The hotel was a typical courtyard Marriott. Nice and clean. Friendly front desk staff. Requested a small fridge for the room and it was brought up in 10 minutes. Excellent location for giants stadium or NYC-close enough to Newark airport. Good restaurants nearby which deliver right to the hotel.”

• I asked the man at the front desk if they had toothpaste and he said "yes" and then didn't give me any.

“This hotel was very nice, but it depends on why you are going there. If you have a car it is convenient and close enough to NYC and other stops, if you don't have a car, not as convenient.”
