• The staff was great, room was clean.
• I expected better and more comfortable bedding.

“I was at the Marriott in Baltimore and loved the bed. It was the most comfortable of beds ever with feather beds, top quality sheets, etc. I expected the same from this hotel. Towels were good though and everything worked. I liked the little terrace we had.”

“I was wowed by this hotel, why stay in a 2* hotel in nay when you can stay at this gem only 25 minutes by bus from Manhattan. The staff is excellent and the room was spotless, a beautiful lobby.”

• Transportation to and from nick was difficult on public transportation. Hotel is located between two highways making a quiet nights sleep interesting.

• Clean, affordable, helpful staff.
• Hotel is next to two large highways, could hear the cars all nigh - using public transportation was difficult and would not try it again.

“Excellent hotel, too bad it's not easily accessible via public transportation. The no transit bus that services the area was a major pain and inconvenient to use.”

• The staff was very accommodating. The hotel was clean and comfortable!
• I would have liked a casual restaurant in the hotel.

“The Renaissance Meadowlands Hotel in Rutherford was a great hotel for a great price! The rooms were very nice sized, immaculate and very comfortable. The beds had down comforters, lots of cozy pillows and the mattresses were pillow topped. Two great nights of sleep. The hotel is across the street from a bus stop that took us to the Port Authority in NY and from there we could site see all over the city. There is a lovely pool in the hotel that we were able to use also. The staff was very accommodating and checked with us to be sure our needs were being met. I traveled with 2 young children and they were made to feel very welcome in the hotel. That is important to me. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to others!”

• It was an excellent place for a good nights rest.
• Upon entry, I was not assisted, then I was given a hard time by the receiving staff. Age prejudice.

“This hotel was of impeccable quality, from cleanliness' standpoint. The staff seem grizzled upon entering. If you can handle your own luggage and a small snooty attitude upon entry; then this hotel provides the hardware for a good time. Approximately 15 minute bus ride to the port authority in Times Square.”

• The convenience of the hotel being so close to the highway and the Starbucks coffee.
• The lack of cleanliness and maintenance of the room.

“The lobby and common areas of the hotel were well maintained. However, I cannot say the same of the room. The toilet had been used and not flushed when we arrived, which seemed to be the worst part of the room. In addition, there were dust bunnies on the towels, and portions of the wallpaper were either ripped or falling off.”

• The staff was very helpful by providing directions to restaurants, shopping, transportation, and sites of interest.
• Did not provide a continental breakfast.

“The hotel was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. Everything that was needed was provided. The staff was friendly and helpful including the General Manager, Ed Keyes. I will stay at the Renaissance Meadowlands whenever I am in the area.”

• Friendly staff, quick check-in, clean quiet halls, beautiful rooms, spectacular bathrooms, awesome sample shampoos and soap, no disturbances, soft bed, pleasant.
• Did not get to stay long enough!

“This hotel is my favorite for several basic important reasons. The staff is so friendly, the place smells terrific. The halls are clean, quiet and lead you to your beautiful fresh smelling room with a spectacular bathroom with thick towels. Excellent sample shampoos and soap. Soft bed, pretty decor. No interruptions, fast room service, great food. I will return!”

“This hotel is really good for the value. Near bus stop to get into NYC. Nice rooms, great lobby. They also have a nice indoor pool and whirlpool. The only thing that I did not like is that my room was not sound proofed very well.”

• The staff was extremely friendly and helpful - the room and services were a good value - room service was good. The hotel property was well kept .
• The hotel was a little tricky to get to the first time, but near malls, theathres and major highways - very convenient

“The hotel is not located in particularly attractive area of the Meadowlands, but it still represented a good value - the amenities were good and the staff very helpful with directions, local attractions, etc. It was centrally located to many major highways and close to NYC. The beddings were very comfortable and the rooms were nice size and clean.”

“Beautiful hotel inside and out. The staff was extreamly nice and helpful. Rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. Hotel is located in a very odd difficult to find location but hey it's NJ! • great location, easy in and out, good size room, nice bathroom
• Too much light from the Meadowlands, room not dark enough and noise from route 3, Staff acted like temporary employees, I felt invisible,

“This is a great facility for one night and only if you have to be there. Close to NY and airports.I liked the room very much.The hotel seems to have management issues: A worker entered my room without knocking,the restaurant couldn't serve waffles or pancakes because the equipment was out of order.Staff is not friendly. Would I stay there again, yes the price was right!”

• Bar and restaurant service VERY slow and spotty

“Clean, comfortable and quiet with great public transportation links to the city. Convenient for long-staying guests with laundry facilities available for guest use. While food/restaurant service can be marginal the quality of food is quite good - though somewhat costly.
Overall, a very smooth running and pleasant hotel with only minor flaws to be overcome.”

“We had a wonderful experience at the Renaissance Meadowlands. There is a NJ Transit bus stop just across the street that takes you into the NYC Port Authority in Midtown for just $2.80. The hotel was very clean, the bed was great, and the staff were friendly.”
