“As silly as it sounds, do not stay in the smoking room if you are not a smoker. The sheets and pillows smelled like the smoke had been there for years. The room itself was dingy. But the staff was very courteous and wanted to help in any way possible. I'm sure that the summer is nicer because of the pool and the proximity of the rooms to the pool. If you are a true girly girl, this is not the hotel for you. The staff is truly great.” Feb 7, 2008 by

“Grounds were not taken care of. Room keys did not work most of the time. Parking area was not light well.” Jan 17, 2008 by

“Nothing fancy, will take care of your necessity.” Aug 31, 2007 by

“Outstanding outdoor pool, large with 10 foot deep end. Great out side bar and great Jap restaurant with tea house. Superb flowers, but hotel is beat. You can't go home again!” Aug 1, 2007 by

“This hotel is probably 50 years old, and it shows. The room is moderately attractive and surprisingly. The bathroom has been remodeled. The room & bathroom were clean. However, the hotel is right on rt 17, just a few feet from 6-8 lanes of traffic. The traffic noise is very bad, even at 3 am! I had to turn on the AC to try and drown out the traffic noise at night. I don't think I would have been able to sleep without this attempt to mask the traffic sounds. This is a budget motel, and you get what you pay for. They seem to rent blocks of rooms to workers that are staying in the area for several weeks or months. These workers go to work early, so they will be gone before most people get up. Still, not a place to go with the kids or for anyone that might be picky. The motel has a V-shape layout with the sliding glass doors facing towards rt 17. There is no way to avoid the traffic noise. The motel was cleaner that I expected for the budget level, and the management does its best but it is what it is and nothing can make it better. If it wasn't for the traffic noise, I would recommend it as a cheaper place to spend the night. But, for me personally, the traffic noise is a deal killer. There are other hotels along rt. 17 that are much better (and quieter).” Jul 26, 2007 by

“Surprisingly clean and well renovated and appointed room. Too close to rt 17, but traffic not audible with a/c on. Nice pool. Close to shopping center (walking distance). Some travelers will not like room door that open directly to outside.” May 9, 2007 by
David from Rio Grande, NJ
“Hotel needs to be upgraded to the 21st century, very 1970s.” Nov 18, 2006 by
John from Westwood, NJ
“Met expectations, well described online, surrounding restaurants and stores were nice surprise.” Sep 25, 2006 by

“Overall great value for the area. Relatively clean, high areas were dusty. Older but kept up fairly well. Staff was very friendly. Area was easy to get to and accessible to convenience shopping and dining. Nice and quiet.” Aug 17, 2006 by
Howard from Maugansville, MD
“Reasonably priced with pleasant and competent employees, however some cosmetic work is needed.” Hotel Representatives:
