• The beds were excellent, there were lots of pillows and a really snuggly comforter.
• The bathroom was not in good repair. The toilet seat was loose and the tub drain was broken.

“On the whole, a very nice hotel with an excellent staff. However, The food at the restaurant is mediocre at best, and room service is not readily available.”

• Beds were very comfortable and clean.
• There were no accommodations. No continental breakfast, or anything. Everything cost extra.

“My family and I arrived at 2am and the attendants had us waiting there for at least 10 minutes while they answered calls. I was very tired and annoyed by this. Then, the following morning I find out there is no breakfast included in our stay. The 2nd day of our stay, the maids did not clean our room and we returned to a dirty room. The location and the cleanliness of the hotel are its best features. Staff and value definitely are not it high points.”

• It had complimentary coffee round the clock.
• When getting to the hotel, the street name was hard to find.

“This Courtyard Marriott was a very nice hotel. Although the street was off the beaten path... (A good way to tell... It's right across from IKEA.) The bed was really comfortable. No problems checking in, or out. No complaints at all. THANKS.”

• Well run, attractive.
• Not convenient to public transportation.

“Our family used this hotel as a base for travel into Manhattan... Unfortunately, access to train station (Newark) was not convenient - location of station is 20 minutes away in the middle of seedy downtown Newark... and parking for the day was expensive ($19). I have NO complaints about the hotel itself - location didn't work well for our purposes.”

• Very clean, well located, I used the computer at the lobby.
• The staff was not friendly at all, I didn't like their attitude.

“Nice hotel, housekeeping are doing a good job, big fitness room, we stayed the first two nights at the hotel across the street which offered a free good breakfast, that we missed at Courtyard, but not a big deal. Staff at the front desk not polite to anyone.”

• Indoor pool was empty and very nice.
• No free breakfast buffet included in our price.

• Beds were very comfortable, good value, hotel was clean, restaurant food was decent.
• Elizabeth Newark Airport area scenery not the greatest.

“Very pleasant hotel to stay at and the staff was very courteous. Rooms were very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable, had a great nights sleep. Courtesy shuttle was very useful and waits for the shuttle were short. Easy to get to and from airport.”

• The large room, comfortable bed, and free internet access.
• Ice machine never worked, first day whirlpool was cool, second day it was cold!

“The location for access to New York was great. The rooms are large, beds are comfortable, plenty of towels, free internet, hair dryer and coffee maker were a plus. The whirlpool was very cool the first day and cold the second day. The ice machine never worked and constant requests to have it repaired or to get us ice went unanswered.”
