• We needed to be as close to the airport as possible. This hotel is right on the grounds.
• Cost of parking.

• I loved the staff, room service and valet parking.
• The room was small and they didn't clean it well during my stay.

“Overall, it was great considering the price I paid. I didn't like the fact that you had to travel in a circle to get to it. Once I got there, I was pleased with the foyer and amenities. I was disappointed with the room space. But it was good for a short stay.”

• Staff was very helpful and friendly, especially in the restaurant.
• Had to wait for over 20 minutes for the shuttle to and from P4.

“Overall, this is a very nice hotel. If you are planning to go into NYC, cheapest option is to take the NJ Transit line into Newark Penn and then hop onto PATH. But be ready for a long trip if you are headed back late at night. It took us almost 2 hours just because of the timings. The restaurant was good and the food was par for the course. But the server and hostess were extremely helpful and attentive.”

• Priceline price.
• Parking fee seemed excessive.

“Most of the EWR hotels shuttle you to the P4 monorail station, from whence you need to travel to your terminal. This hotel's shuttle goes to all three terminals plus P4, which eliminates one additional transfer if you're going between the hotel and the airport. Otherwise, hardly worth the premium for the open airport location. Plus the parking is more expensive than it would be at, for example, the Hilton.”

• Cleanliness was impressive.
• Elevator guest card process was awful.

“Hotel was very nice and clean both on the exterior and interior. Room was extremely clean. Bed was very comfortable. The whole process for getting the elevator to work was very tedious. My hands were full. To have to use my card to activate an elevator was a bit much and it never worked. I don't feel making guests pay to park is fair either.”

• The hotel was very eye appealing.
• The bed was very uncomfortable with feathers poking out everywhere.

“Overall, the hotel was very nice and I would stay there again. If they change the down feather comforter and mattress top. The feather comforter is too hot in the summer to use and the mattress top kept poking me with those annoying feathers.”

• On the day we checked in there were about 6 voyager buses pulling in and everything got crowded.

• High end hotel. Has all the necessities. Have to pay for internet though.
• Whirlpool and pool closes kind of early.

• The pool was very nice and the kids loved that you could swim to the outside!
• The room was very clean, but the carpet smelled badly.

“This was a wonderful hotel with a beautiful room. The kids loved the pool because they could swim from inside to outside. They also loved the workout facility. The downside was that breakfast was not included and very costly for a family.”

• The bedding was very comfortable.
• The hotel charged me $20 per day for parking. I did not like that, I had a few family members that visited me that day and they paid $24.00 for 3 hour.

“The hotel was nice and I enjoyed the pool, but I was charged $20 per day for parking. I think that parking should be a free courtesy at the hotel.”

• Comfortable beds, quality linen, quiet, great fitness center/pool and shuttle service, friendly staff.
• They charged for internet, yet gave free cookies in the lobby. Kind of defeats the purpose to show their hospitality and thus ruined their image.

“They gave free cookies, water and newspaper, yet charged for internet use and one phone call into Manhattan for less than a minute it costs $5.95. The price is not given anywhere and mentions it is charged as operated assisted by Sprint in a page of a book about their hotel. If they seriously overcharge in this deceptive like manner, it defeats their purpose of giving the free items to show hospitality.”

• The staff was very - very nice, accommodating & helpful.
• The price for self parking (and hotel guest) was a bit high ($25 per day).

“This hotel was recently renovated. It was much nicer than I thought it would be. It was decorated nicely, very convenient to Newark Airport & the train into New York City. (And, being this close to the Airport, we did not hear the airplanes from the airport - so, it was quiet). The staff & people who work at the front desk & at this hotel were so very nice - possibly the nicest of all hotels that I have stayed at in the world. I hope to stay here again.”

• It was very clean and tidy, great view.
• I had to pay 20.00 per night to just to park my car, it was ridiculous. My floor had no ice in the machine, so I had to go to another floor to get ice.

“The hotel itself was really nice and very well maintained. No one informed us that there will be a parking charge of 20.00 per night to park my car at the hotel. There was a 10.00 charge to use your own laptop and use their internet.”

• The rack of lamb was exquisite. The service was great.
• Hotel bar had computer problems so they didn't serve food. I felt they should have found a work-around. I wasn't dressed for fine dining.

“The problem with the higher end hotels, this one being no exception is they nickle and dime you to death. $23/day to park is atrocious. Want an Apple or Banana or water? $5. In fact the nice, equivalent hotels in the area offer free or cheap parking ($10/day or less) and will kindly give you an apple if that is whats gets you going in the morning (as opposed to this hotels $15 "continental breakfast"). In fact the morning coffee isn't free either. Like I said, nickle and dime you to death.”

• The facilities were well maintained and extremely nice.

“I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival at the hotel as, it exceeded my expectations in cleanliness, services and decor. The workout room and swimming pool area despite the number of guests were both clean and inviting. Driving on Route 1 9 is a bit confusing but overall I believe this is a good hotel destination for leisure or business travelers.”

• Up to a hotel standard for what a business traveler expects, clean and well maintained, efficient service.
• Restaurant closed a bit too early for late arrivals.

“A nice and convenient stay for business or adult travelers who needs to go to NY. Close connection and easy access to train to Manhattan and other part of NJ as well, especially if flying via EWR. Definitely not the kind of hotel for kids or family vacation type-will blow off other business travelers. Hotel setting is business oriented and quiet atmosphere. Running kids at the lobby or hallway and noise making families are last thing business hotel wants to bring in.”

“Overall this was a great hotel however the breakfast buffet was anything to be desired. We actually asked for our money back as the waitstaff was too busy doing nothing. The room however was excellent and we'd stay at the hotel again.”
