• The pillows and bed were of outstanding quality.
• The air conditioning did not work well.

“The hotel met or exceeded expectations on all accounts except the HVAC system. I actually had to turn the air conditioning down to 60 degrees to obtain a reaction. Even after this drastic step, the room was not cool on Sunday morning and I was awakened by the humid air that was much warmer than I would have preferred.”

• Great pool, SPA, and exercise area.
• Hidden expenses, 20 dollar per day Parking Fee, and 3 dollar Parking taxes, High cost of movies.

“Too many Hidden expenses, 20 dollar per day Parking Fee, 3 dollar Parking taxes, High cost of movies. Okay place to stay, but rooms too small, Too crowded with chair against desk with bed against chair. In order to get to the hotel, had to trip yourself around all of the ridiculous traffic at the airport. Aside from that, will not go back!”

• Without a rental car I'm not sure how I would have gotten to the hotel.

• It was in the area where we wanted to be.
• Parking fees especially as a hotel guest were ridiculous, $23 a night! Outrageous!

“The hotel was nice but not worth the time. $46 for parking in the hotel lot as a guest is absurd. The room was not even as big as a hotel that was less expensive! Also there was no continental breakfast. With the amount of money paid, it was not really worth it!”

“The woman at the front desk looked stunned when I wanted to check in, barely knew how to do it, and barely knew how their parking system worked. My room key didn't work when I drove out of the parking lot to go to dinner. When I ran inside to find out what was going on, the man at the front desk said it was my fault for putting the key too close to my cell phone, which I did not do. Later, in the bar, the incompetent bartender put four different charges on my credit card for one bill; two charges still haven't been credited back to my account yet. Next time, I'll pay full price to go to another hotel.”

• Food was reasonable and in room movies were cheaper than any other hotel.
• I hated everything else.

“This hotel is horrid, the room was poorly cleaned, looked like sheets weren't changed and carpet seemed dirty. The halls and room smelled of raw sewage. I was afraid to get bed bugs from the bed and couch. Rooms are relatively large, but that does nothing for the cleanliness issue. Stay away if at all possible.”

“Good spot for overnight before travel to Cruise on Flight. Bring binoculars and you can see the ship at the Bayonne Terminal. Good signage to get to the hotel when driving in from outside the Airport Complex.”

• Very convenient location, on airport property. Excellent shuttle service both to the hotel and to airport for early morning flight.
• The towels could have been softer.

“The hotel was an excellent choice for a 10hr layover between flights. Check-in was quick and friendly. The hotel was quiet. Check-out in the morning was quick and the shuttle was ready for those trying to make an early morning flight.”

• It was convenient to the EWR airport, and well worth the price paid.
• Parking fees are a little high ($33 per day), but understandable.

“Well worth the visit. JW's restaurant is an excellent steakhouse and a good find for our business dinner. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable and the amenities upscale.”

• Great front desk/reception. Really efficient.
• Charges for Wifi.

“A quick dedicated shuttle gets you to the modest reception area. Walk a few feet to the reception desk and there is someone who takes care of you without any fuss and very professionally. I arrived late at night, but both people at the desk were cheery and friendly. I was staying only a few hours before my early morning flight out. I asked if I could leave my bags with the bell captain. One of the receptionists personally tagged and took my bags. I got my wake up call on time. The room may be a little small but the king size bed was comfortable. Bath facilities fine but again a little small.”

“The Newark Marriott is in a good location for travelers out of Newark. In a nice hotel you should not have to pay for internet usage. The room service I ordered was nothing special.”

• Location was good. Free shuttle to airport.
• We got different prices for taxi service. Once we were only charged 18. To go to pen station. On our way back, for the same amount of peps they charged 60.

“Don't expect much help with area restaurants. We asked 3 different peps and the only reply we got was. Here are the menus we have. Just wanted to know of any mix restaurant, I mean come on? How hard can it be to come up with 1? The taxis out front were a rip off too. A group of 7 of up went to pen station, they charged us 18. We called them back for the return trip when we got back they said we were all laying, the price is 60. Not happy about that.”

“Very comfortable with a most friendly staff. We were made to feel the staff was there for us personally and no one passed without a greeting. The room was very clean and well maintained. Full amenities afforded us every opportunity to relax and enjoy. Three restaurants gave us good food choices and all were delicious with prompt service.”

• The room was nice and clean. Housekeeping was excellent.
• Bad location. Expensive parking. Not suit for family.

“The room was nice and clean. The staff was adequate and not very helpful for traveling information. Transportation to and from the hotel is a pain if you don't have a car. Expensive parking ($36 per day). The hotel charges $9.95 a day for high speed internet. Definitely not suit for a family vacation or leisure traveler.”

• I thought the staff was helpful, nice and considerate.
• The only thing that I didn't like was the signs for the hotel directions. The signs were too small.

“This hotel happens to be one of my favorite. The staff was very helpful and met all of my needs. I had no problems with checking in late and requesting a late check out. They were quite efficient and very professional.”

“Airport shuttle is efficient and frequent. Hotel is clean, friendly and comfortable. Airport is seen but not heard. Food is good and services are great. Hotel shuttle connects well with free bus to huge shopping centre jersey garden. Some major good buys there. We will stay there anytime again. Do tip the shuttle drivers a few dollars. They work for very little and would appreciate your generosity. You would feel good about yourself too.”
