• Night clerks response to my questions.

“I stay at this hotel every time I come to NJ. It provides for all my needs, the exception to my last visit was that upon arrival to our room, after being out all day an early evening was that our room was not cleaned, bed not made, and towels all soiled from that morning. I voiced my disappointment and that assured me it would not happen again. I will accept there explanation.”

• Good location nice rooms and staff.
• I extended my stay and had a king room which they agreed to initially but made me change to two doubles. I'm a tall guy but it was still a nice room.

“Good location if you are working in the area and very clean rooms, great bedding and friendly staff. The bar is and the food is very pricey but there are plenty of restaurants within 10 miles. A nice Irish pub with great food just down the street. Great DJ on Thursdays. The other competing brand wants about twice as much as I got this room for a week.”

• Keys not working. Must try dozens of times before doors will open.

• The bed mattress incredible!
• Didn't feel 100 % safe.

“The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful, gave us tips on where to go etc. We were very comfortable in the beds; we're still talking about that. We were 8 people and all agreed.”

“Overall it was a good experience. The hotel staff was very nice and allowed me to check in late, which I really appreciated. The room would have been great were it not for the smoke smell in the entire room. They were sold out so we could not be moved to a different room.”

“Some many tours went to this hotel and they came in at midnight and always made big noise and I was waked up in the midnight. This is worst experience at this hotel.”

“Arrived in the evening and found it difficult to locate the hotel. The hotel is located just off a rotary. The hotel team was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant very basic. The room cleans.”

• The building and elevators seems to be very old.

“The hotel is well laid out however the age of the building is beginning to show. Also the business center is at the front door. This should be in a room.”

• It was very convenient to my family.
• Everything was fine.

“The crown plaza in Clark, is very convenient to my family, shopping and NY. It was clean and comfortable. The only thing that was very uncomfortable were the pillows, I highly recommend they bye new ones, or I will bring my own next time and I suggest you do the same.”

• The lavender spray and sleep cd and helpful staff.
• The lack of bathroom counter/ no tea with the coffee/ sheet was either badly stained or had not been washed it appeared to be the second of the two.

“Nice special amenities like sleep CD and lavender spray for the sheets. The location is convenient to the freeway but not a very restful location for that reason. It was clean and the staffs were friendly but the lobby was not particularly nice. I would give it a 2 or 2.5 star rating not a 3.”

• Would appreciate coffee in the lobby each morning.

• The location, the general comfort of room.
• No free breakfast, continental or otherwise.

“Upon arrival in room there was a strong smell of cigarette but front desk promptly switched us to different room. Everything was very satisfactory but would have been even better if some breakfast was offered as is the case with so many hotel chains nowadays. Did not have a chance to try out pool or exercise room.”

• Difficulty in obtaining a cork screw.

“Very nice rooms, well appointed and furnished, comfortable beds, clean public areas. Very convenient to the parkway and airport and other central NJ places. The only thing that marred the experience was that we wanted a knife and a corkscrew for some cheese and wine in the room and the staff refused to provide this to us.”

• Comfortable bed.
• Poor lighting - bed lamp did not work; no salad dressing with dinner.

“This hotel is clean, well-decorated, pleasantly staffed and conveniently located. There were some problems: bedside lamp that did not stay lit (plug problem), no refrigerator (the brochure promised one and I had been counting on it) and at dinner, my cobb salad was served without dressing. This was a little annoying, but the salad itself was a four-star endeavor, so I recommend it nevertheless. A pleasant place to stay.”

• The bed sheets and pillows were very comfortable.
• The 4 of us got a king size bed, which did not work. One person had to sleep in a chair.

“The hotel was pretty nice but doing some construction around the pool area. The beds were super comfortable. Some of the hotel staff was rude and unhelpful- but not all. ”

“We stay at this hotel because it is very near family in the area. My husband and I like it very much - The rooms are attractive and the bed and bedding are of good quality. Bathrooms clean. Restaurant not great but we just don't eat there. Staff helpful. Safe location.”

• Hotel lost all power, had to relocate to a less convenient location.

“Hotel lost all power on second day of a 5 day stay. Had to climb 5 flights of stairs, 3 times in the dark, with bone spurs in my feet, to remove our Christmas gifts and belongings. Was relocated to another hotel...this mess totally ruined our Christmas family gathering. This hotel has a history of electrical and elevator problems. This happened second time in past five years.”

• pool was FREEZING! What's the point of having one?

“It was fine, nothing special. There was never a bellman available when we needed one. I've stayed in lower rated hotels that actually had better service. The restaurant was nice.”

• Location is convenient to family and friends. Hotel provides comfortble, clean accommodations.
• Small refrigerator not in all rooms. (Stayed 5 nights and didn't have one.) Coffee mugs in room are black and often appear not clean or stained.

“Crowne Plaza in Clark, NJ provides comfortable, clean accommodations in a location that is convenient to many New Jersey locations. It is also within 25 miles ( a train ride) to NYC. The rates are reasonable. Staff ranges from friendly to business-professional.”

• Closet is a little small

• The beds were clean- the overall cleanliness was good
• they gave us the wrong size room..pool was not very clean

“Not a 4or5 star by far. The area is a little scary with roundabouts etc. when you are not normally from the city. The pool was not very clean...the people were okay. But I would not say that this is my TOP choice of hotels to stay at.”

• I liked everything.

• location could not have been better!
• goldfish crackers, nuts, grapes under the bed on our arrival. :(

“We were not pleased to find under the beds unchecked upon our arrival. We left a note upon checkout informing them of this, as well as the showers slow to drain. Not earth shattering, but 3 stars? Ehhh, not in my opinion.”

• I like the convenience getting to directly off NJ Parkway; heat lamps in bathrooms and many mirrors
• I love this place and stay quite often

“The hotel is well maintained, clean and very attractive upon entering. The staff is cordial and courteous. The bar area is charming and food fare is very good.I love the heat lamps in the bath as it gives extra light and warmth and the many mirrors including the long mirrors are a woman's best friend.”
