“I've stayed in a lot of nice hotels, but I have to say that because of this stay, Crown Plaza is now at the top of my list! This hotel was great. It is the little things like, having a robe for guests, big fridge and microwave in the room, being able to check out at 2 PM, very clean and comfortable room, nice pool, great friendly staff and important for me (which many may not care about) is the fact that the AC will stay on the entire time if you set it that way. I hate it when the AC turns off and you get this awful silence in the room where any sound wakes you up. It was nice to have the sound of the fan in the background the whole time. Oh, they also have a CD in the room that teaches you how to fully relax while listening to it. My husband passed out like a baby once I put it on.”

• I liked the appearance of the lobby as this sets the tone for your stay.
• The chicken wings I ordered had way too much sauce on them, also you should not have to pay $1 for a cup of coffee in the lobby each morning.

“As I came in late and only had time for a quick dinner I did not get to experience much of the hotel. However, I did use the main restroom downstairs and it was very clean and neat. The bartender was very polite and runs a clean bar. The hotel staff in general are always very polite, and I have not experienced any problems while staying at this hotel.”

• I liked the hotel employees (very polite and friendly).
• Nothing I can say really, it was clean, help was friendly, bar food was good. Room was comfortable and clean.

“I was waited on promptly upon entering the hotel, unfortunately my room key did not work so I had to go back to the front desk for a new key. The staff was apologetic and issued me a new key, reminding me that there was a courtesy phone in the hall I could utilize if for some reason the key did not work again. Aside from that experience, my stay was very pleasant. I like the Crowne Plaza, it is a very professional business.”

• The room was comfortable & the business center very functional.
• While there was a refrigerator in the room, I was disappointed it was not stocked.

“The staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The business desk was very conducive to work. My only disappointment was there was no snacks, beverages available for purchase within the room.”

• Upon check in I was helped immediately. This is very important for someone who has worked all day and traveled a distance.
• The restaurant menu has too many high ticket meals and not enough $10-$12 selections. If I want fine dining I would rather go to a Ruth's Chris.

“Hotel staff was very friendly and processing was expeditious. The rooms were very clean and well stocked; my compliments to the housekeeping team. The hotel restaurant menu does require a facelift however. I believe the hotel is trying to provide an upscale restaurant image and should stick with a more realistic selection that offers a moderate price range.”

“This hotel is great if you are visiting NJ for a few days. It is located in a good location with great restaurants, but if you don't have a car, then it might be difficult for you to travel around. Overall a great place to stay.”

• $15 meatloaf, $14 breakfast, other items pricey also; one room lamp defective switch - always on.

“Easy access to the Garden State Parkway, area rich in moderate price restaurants, hotel has a pool & and exercise room, room had a small workstation area, refrigerator and microwave. Decent soundproofing. It was possible to hear people in adjacent rooms, however not to excess.”

“This hotel was nice. It was clean and the employees were friendly. My husband and I only needed to stay the night while our house was not livable for the day and this location was very close. The room could use a little paint and the bathroom could be updated as well.”

“I stay at this hotel every time I come to NJ. It provides for all my needs, the exception to my last visit was that upon arrival to our room, after being out all day an early evening was that our room was not cleaned, bed not made, and towels all soiled from that morning. I voiced my disappointment and that assured me it would not happen again. I will accept there explanation.”

• I extended my stay and had a king room which they agreed to initially but made me change to two doubles. I'm a tall guy but it was still a nice room.

“Good location if you are working in the area and very clean rooms, great bedding and friendly staff. The bar is and the food is very pricey but there are plenty of restaurants within 10 miles. A nice Irish pub with great food just down the street. Great DJ on Thursdays. The other competing brand wants about twice as much as I got this room for a week.”

“Overall it was a good experience. The hotel staff was very nice and allowed me to check in late, which I really appreciated. The room would have been great were it not for the smoke smell in the entire room. They were sold out so we could not be moved to a different room.”

“The crown plaza in Clark, is very convenient to my family, shopping and NY. It was clean and comfortable. The only thing that was very uncomfortable were the pillows, I highly recommend they bye new ones, or I will bring my own next time and I suggest you do the same.”

• The lavender spray and sleep cd and helpful staff.
• The lack of bathroom counter/ no tea with the coffee/ sheet was either badly stained or had not been washed it appeared to be the second of the two.

“Nice special amenities like sleep CD and lavender spray for the sheets. The location is convenient to the freeway but not a very restful location for that reason. It was clean and the staffs were friendly but the lobby was not particularly nice. I would give it a 2 or 2.5 star rating not a 3.”

“Upon arrival in room there was a strong smell of cigarette but front desk promptly switched us to different room. Everything was very satisfactory but would have been even better if some breakfast was offered as is the case with so many hotel chains nowadays. Did not have a chance to try out pool or exercise room.”

“Very nice rooms, well appointed and furnished, comfortable beds, clean public areas. Very convenient to the parkway and airport and other central NJ places. The only thing that marred the experience was that we wanted a knife and a corkscrew for some cheese and wine in the room and the staff refused to provide this to us.”

• Poor lighting - bed lamp did not work; no salad dressing with dinner.

“This hotel is clean, well-decorated, pleasantly staffed and conveniently located. There were some problems: bedside lamp that did not stay lit (plug problem), no refrigerator (the brochure promised one and I had been counting on it) and at dinner, my cobb salad was served without dressing. This was a little annoying, but the salad itself was a four-star endeavor, so I recommend it nevertheless. A pleasant place to stay.”
