• Hotel has free Internet, swimming pool.
• Old and dirty hotel, swimming pool is almost always closed.

• I had to move rooms and I left my phone charger in the 1st dirty room but the day manager went out of his way to help me try& find it : we did.
• Parties, rough & loud guests, police tape on stairs night we checked in told one thing on phone about reservation when I got there hours later. I didn't get it.

“Needs to clean up its act pool was GREEN but children (not mine) we in it (yuck). The night we checked in there were about 20 loud guys hanging over railing spitting and throwing cig. butts on ground and breaking lights and yelling at us. Police tape on stairwell, every night drinking in parking lot security didn't do anything to break it up mold visibly growing in bathroom not pleasant plus $50.00 is missing from my belongings nice huh?”

• A good deal for economy budget but more like a 1 star.
• Broken lights, no coffee pot, broken alarm clock.

“It is a hit or miss - sometimes you get a decent room with working appliances and other times you do not. Ask for a room closer to the front; since the hotel is outside, it is more like a motel and it is not the safest at night for those traveling by themselves in the back area of the buildings. Rooms could definitely use new furnishings and could be cleaned properly. It often looks like someone ran through and tried to clean the room in 2 minutes. This hotel should be listed as a one-star hotel because it does not maintain the standards of a typical two star hotel.”

• Nice facilities, good air conditioning, nice pool.
• Difficult to get to from US 1 South-easy from US 1 North or SR 18 North.

• Next to the freeway, poor quality beds, linens.

“This is one of the worst hotel that I stayed in. It is run down and needs updating. Poor quality beds and linens. Pool was not working. Internet only worked in the lobby. I would never stay at this hotel again.”

“I expected it to be a cheap hotel, but this was slightly below my expectations. The bathroom was not very clean and it took a long time for me to get hot water. Also the remote for the TV didn't work.”

“The hotel was no where near my Mother's, It was inconvenient, BLOOD was on one of the pillows, The Free Wireless Internet did not work... You could call the 1-800 number BUT you had to pay for that... The Television had to be banged on to watch it... The pool was green and disgusting. The top of the hair dryer stand was dirty and covered with hair.. The shower ceiling had hair all over it... Called room service for extra towels and had to pick them up myself from the front desk.”

“I found several ants and spiders in the room. Moreover, the smell is really horrible. I can not believe it is a 2-star hotel. It is worse than most of the motels. Be careful.”

• It was clean.
• The express style didn't lend itself to using the breakfast accommodations in the morning.

“A little bit older, room was clean, bathroom functional. room had little coffeemaker in the bathroom, a small table with two chairs, an ironing board and iron and , of course, a television with remote. I don't think it had any Internet hook ups or anything like that.”

“This hotel is just adequate. The rooms are cheap, poorly-lit and seedy. Still, if you're looking for a good, cheap location near Rutgers or the pharmaceutical companies, it's not bad in that respect.”

• I did not like anything, it was trashy and I felt that I got bet out of me money, I am so upset about this!!!!

“First, of all the hotel only provided one not even a set of wash cloths, it smelled, not clean at all, the management does not even care about the people staying their, noisy people over my head, the phone in the room did not work, carpet smelled, bathroom tub nasty, I had to shower at family house, sheets horrible scared to sleep on them, a leaky room right outside my door. Management and workers did not speak English, had to draw on paper what I wanted. I called ahead to make sure they had a crib for my child, they advise me yes, when I got there no crib, tried to call phone broke, so next day went to front desk ask for crib, said would be in room when I returned no crib, this went on all day and night and finally a crib brought to my room at 10pm that night. ”

• The sheets and towels were clean.
• Had to move to a new room, shower head broken, iron stolen out of room, new room no clock, radio, microwave, fridge $7 extra, only 2 ice machines.

“The employees were polite and helpful. First room shower head broken and no iron, second room no clock radio, TV remote had no number key pad, only one hand towel, only 2 hangers, trash on balcony, had to pay $7 extra for the microwave and fridge. Only two ice machine in the hotel. Location: I had to drive at least a mile down the street to get to a turn where I could get on the road in the opposite direction.”

• Simply put it was a very bad living experience.

“There was barely light inside the hotel room, you have to work hard to comb in front of the mirror; bed sheets were not done well, only when I woke up that I saw dry stains on the bed sheet. I left the telephone charger in the hotel by mistake, and when I called they couldn't find it. I was put up in a smoking room, the air inside stinks. Not worth the money spent.”

• Run-down condition cheap motel. Lock does not work. Toilet bowl bad! Not clean.

“No light on the big sign of the hotel. I missed the turn twice! It should have been rated as a cheap motel. Lucky that I did not see any cockroach! The door chain is broken and is unsafe. The toilet bowl does not work right. The heater did not warm up.”

• Manager on duty was rude and actually accused me of making noise and throwing a party where she totally had no knowledge and wasn't even my room no.

“Apparently there was some commotion during the night where a loud noise and a broken glass was evident in the am, the manager accused me of throwing a party and having loud people over where she was completely out of line and right of making those kinds of allegations.”

• This facility should have been rated a 1 or less.

“This hotel was not a good value for the money. I have stayed at other Howard Johnson properties and this was not typical of the brand. The bathroom was in poor shape and the toilet overflowed when I flushed it. The wireless service did not work in the room and the quality of the room amenities was far less than expected. I was very disappointed.”

“They give me a room with double bed, no queen size. Some hair was still in the tub when I turned on the water, glad that my companion didn't see that. A black ring around the tub hole and few chips. Very old plumbing and the curtain road too rusty. When the 19 x 37 is a bath towel size. Only two channels were clear on the TV. All the rest either grainy or none, went to sleep at 10pm, no TV to watch after a long tired day, 10:45pm I got a knock on my door. Housekeeper with two pillows I didn't ask for. 11:00pm it sounds like a party was going on in the room above, I called the front desk to ask them to calm down. 11:30pm the party was going on again.. Seems like they got a half dozen kid. So I had to call again. 6:30am the party above started again. I called the front desk again. But the damage was done we took a shower and left after the worse sleepless night. 8:30 I wait 10 minute on the front desk. No one was there. I dropped the key on the desk and left.”

• Dirty, outdated, noisy, cheap.

“This is the first time I've been disappointed in a hotel. Dirty and cheap with electrical wires hanging from the outlets. No 3 prong plugs except for bathroom. Furniture in room looked like remnants from a garage sale. Noisy and unsafe with prostitutes in the hallways. Staff was friendly but unresponsive. Free deluxe breakfast consisted of cereal and milk.”
