• Very well kept rooms, very nice people.
• Hot tub needed some renovations.

“Found this hotel to be very nice. People there were nice, as well. Food from restaurant was pretty good. Only the pool area needed a little work, mainly the hot tub. It had peeling paint and was a little dirty looking.”

• Enjoyed the luxury design and facilities. Service was excellent!
• Parking was too far from lobby, especially for handicapped.

“This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The pool area was clean, not excessively chlorinated and well designed for lounging. Room was very nice, albeit the bathroom was a bit small. We enjoyed it!”

• The staff were friendly, professional and helpful.

“Great stay! The room was clean and ready when we arrived, there was plenty of room for all five of us with the roll-away bed added to the two queens. We swam in the pool, used the excellent health club facilities and soaked in the hot tub. Once we parked in the hotel garage we walked to everything. More than twenty restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel, great shopping and a pharmacy. We would go back in a heartbeat!”

• The staff I did encounter was very pleasant and sociable.
• The morning of check out, the elevators were out of service, had to use employee elevator.

“The hotel decor was great, staff was very personable and willing to engage me in conversation. Had to use the employee service elevator day of check out, however, the employee area was actually clean than some hotel rooms.”

• I liked the location. It was near several restaurants which is a plus.
• The elevator was not working.

“The hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly. Because it was new years eve i think there should have been more staff working to check visitors in because I did have to wait in a line. The room was clean and comfortable. I would defintely stay there again.”

“Absolutely enjoyed our stay, the amenities, the room service, and friendly staff. Guests need to pay for parking, but that wasn't too expensive on the weekend. I would certainly recommend this place to friends and family planning to visit the area.”

• Close to Train Station.
• Room was somewhat shabby for a Hyatt. Noisy.

“Nice lobby, rooms were a little run down. Bar/restaurant were adequate though I was distressed that they would only show Baseball on their multiple TV sets in the Bar and refused to turn on the Democratic National Convention on any of the TV's. Service was also a bit slow. Close to train and downtown New Brunswick is a plus.”

• Fancy design. Beautiful room. Comfortable bed.
• Traffic from the highway can be loud. Some construction on Route 18 can be heard.

“We arrived in the evening to check-in. We were told we could not obtain the king room. The room's TV did not work, and I was scalded due to the shower water temperature not being able to be regulated. At check-out a very nice representative apologized.”

“I did not eat at the hotel, or visit the hotel bar so I cannot provide a detailed account of either. However, the restroom facilities were very clean, as was the lobby and parking garage. I was helped immediately upon check in and that was nice. No problems with my stay, I'd like to stay there again.”

• I like the fact that they brought a cot and a crib to our room for no extra charge.
• The bathroom door was too heavy for an interior door, and defaulted to the closed position.

“The staff is friendly. The rooms are relatively spacious for two people, and include nice furnishings-high, king size bed, dresser drawers with attached desk, couch, and coffee table. For a family, adding a cot and a crib made the room somewhat cramped. The lobby is nice and open, with plenty of space to lounge, sitting or standing.”

“The hotel is poorly managed and does not give the feeling of Hyatt. There is a lot that needs to be done to light up the overall look and feel of the property. Parking is not complimentary! Rooms do not have refrigerator!”

“We arrived dripping wet from a rain storm; got lost on the way there and was helped out on the phone by a hotel rep who gave great directions! Check-in was smooth; the room was gorgeous and, although the hour was late, desk clerk guided us to a great restaurant across the street. Helpful, friendly people, gorgeous rooms, really comfortable bed, pool, rooftop tennis and a great atmosphere: what more can you want?”

• The hotel is conveniently located two blocks from the New Brunswick train station.
• Loud music in ballroom prevented sleep/peace. 5 a.m. wakeup call not requested!

“I had an excitedly annoying stay at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick. First of all, I requested an 8:00 a.m. wake-up call and received a 5:00 a.m. call, which was not appreciated, especially after losing sleep the night before because the DJ in the ballroom next to me was blasting the bass until late hours of the night. An employee claimed to ask him to turn the music down, but either the employee or I was being humored, because no reduction in the sound was made. Despite earplugs, I could still feel the vibration of the bass in my room, which was on the 4th floor, but shared a wall with one of the ballrooms. When I called the Business Office of the Hyatt New Brunswick, the representative there told me she would return my call once she resolved the issue, but (surprise!) I haven't received a call yet. Further, my room key deactivate itself twice, locking me out of my room, and both times this happened, the front desk attendant accused me of keeping the card near other magnetized cards in my wallet, which I did not, because I knew that the key-cards are sensitive. The location of this hotel was great, but the irritation of being locked out of my room, being kept up late by noise, and woken up early by employees who can not tell the difference between a 5 and an 8, made this hotel not really worth the stay.”
