• Shower not working. Parking elevator not working.

“A pretty good hotel, but nothing was offered to me when I told them that their shower did not work at all. I would have expected better from a hotel of this quality level.”

“We arrived dripping wet from a rain storm; got lost on the way there and was helped out on the phone by a hotel rep who gave great directions! Check-in was smooth; the room was gorgeous and, although the hour was late, desk clerk guided us to a great restaurant across the street. Helpful, friendly people, gorgeous rooms, really comfortable bed, pool, rooftop tennis and a great atmosphere: what more can you want?”

• Noisy rooms several floors above ballroom party, rude front desk woke us up at 5 a.m. with a bogus wake up call.

“The staff is young and inexperienced. Several lied about our room, how quiet it would be at night. They had trouble setting the electronic keys. We had to go back to the desk 3 times. The street sign for Nielson Street has half of the name off.”

• The hotel was alive with activity the night we stayed: proms, weddings. The air was electric.

• The hotel is conveniently located two blocks from the New Brunswick train station.
• Loud music in ballroom prevented sleep/peace. 5 a.m. wakeup call not requested!

“I had an excitedly annoying stay at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick. First of all, I requested an 8:00 a.m. wake-up call and received a 5:00 a.m. call, which was not appreciated, especially after losing sleep the night before because the DJ in the ballroom next to me was blasting the bass until late hours of the night. An employee claimed to ask him to turn the music down, but either the employee or I was being humored, because no reduction in the sound was made. Despite earplugs, I could still feel the vibration of the bass in my room, which was on the 4th floor, but shared a wall with one of the ballrooms. When I called the Business Office of the Hyatt New Brunswick, the representative there told me she would return my call once she resolved the issue, but (surprise!) I haven't received a call yet. Further, my room key deactivate itself twice, locking me out of my room, and both times this happened, the front desk attendant accused me of keeping the card near other magnetized cards in my wallet, which I did not, because I knew that the key-cards are sensitive. The location of this hotel was great, but the irritation of being locked out of my room, being kept up late by noise, and woken up early by employees who can not tell the difference between a 5 and an 8, made this hotel not really worth the stay.”

• The lobby, rooms and bathrooms were beautiful at this hotel.
• The parking was too expensive, and should have been included.

“The hotel was very, nice and our accommodations were great. The bathrooms were, in particular, very modern and pleasing to the eye. We enjoyed room service as well, where we ordered a delicious burger. Our family had a great time here and would recommend it to anyone.”

• Outstanding and courteous service from all of the front desk staff.
• Need snack vending machines somewhere. Also a luxury hotel should not charge for wireless internet.

“Great hotel whether traveling for business or leisure. Very courteous and attentive staff and a location convenient to arts district and entertainment. On the minus side, a luxury hotel like the Hyatt should NOT charge for wireless internet, and there really should be vending machines that sell snacks (this hotel only had sodas).”

• Very roomy, great television, convenient to train.
• The guy who checked us in, feather pillows, lack of fridge, cost of in room movies and internet.

“Great place to stay for the money. The guy who checked us in was about as unfriendly as they come, although everyone else seemed fine. The room was a bit dusty, and the feather pillows were an allergy problem. The great thing was it was 2 blocks from the train station, and my son and I hopped the train into NYC for the day. The area is nice with plenty of restaurants, theatres, etc. I am not completely sure how safe the area is after walking around a bit late at night.”

• Tub drain did not work and return filter was ajar.

“Overall a very good experience however I was in the same room I was in about two weeks ago and the tub drain did not work, told front desk and low and behold two weeks later, I have the same room with the same issue! Plus the HVAC return filter was ajar and you could see clear up to the next floor! The front desk did take care of it, ASAP and they guy they sent to fix was outstanding.”

• There was a lot of entertainment in Downtown new Brunswick within walking distance.
• The parking situation was not that great there was no place to park after paying 6 dollars for parking.

• Bathroom too small, sink too close to vanity.

“Overall not bad. Service was slow at bar even though hotel was not crowded (room orders were minimal). Guy was texting on his phone, not paying attention to patrons/customers at bar. Bathroom was small although it may have been that way since I was at the end of the hall.”

• Very clean and well laid out, rooms quiet and had walk out deck.
• Construction around building made for difficult access. No fridge in room.

“Very nice hotel. The hotel was actually higher quality than the area that surrounded it. Room was very clean (comfortable letting infant crawl around the room). Nice TV and other room furnishings, but did not like the full length mirror not being securely attached to wall (dangerous for the infant). Overall very nice.”

• They gave me a 5:00 am wake up call I did not order.

“Very nice hotel, excellent staff. I had two incidents, one where an employee opened my door while the privacy sign was on my door and another where they gave me a 5:00 am wake up call I did not ask for, but they took care of it by giving me a free bottle of wine and paid for my breakfast. Overall, the hotel was beautiful and the staff very nice. I would stay there again.”

• I do not like paying to park my car especially in an empty lot.

“A wonderful stay for the price. Clean room, comfortable bed, and good room service. Did not hear any other room guests even though the rooms were filled around me. My last hotel visit on that area had me booked next to a bridal party who sounded like they were right in the room with me. Beautiful area has me wishing to visit for a vacation stay.”

• The breakfast was expensive.

• Damp linens and you pay for parking and internet.

“I had expected better from the Hyatt. The linens on our bed were slightly damp, the bathroom was kinda small, everything outside the lobby was forgettable, and you have pay for expensive parking as well as the internet. The Sheraton was a much more pleasant experience.”

• I picked up a bad eye infection from unsanitary conditions, and manager was unconcerned.

“Parking is good, location was convenient and room was quiet. Bed was not uncomfortable, but not as good as other brand hotels. television channel selection was disappointing and premium channels like movies were expensive. Room condition was okay, but not great. I picked up a bad eye infection from the pillow cases and this spoiled my stay and my impression of the hotel.”

• Our only disappointment - in-room coffee packets not replaced daily.

“We had a great stay! We were in the area for a wedding and spent 5 nights at this hotel. We asked a lot of questions about the area and were always given great info with an offer to print directions out for us if we needed them. I have honestly never encountered such a helpful group of front desk staff and friendly bell staff. In addition to this, the hotel was newly remodeled, the room was clean and comfortable, and the area was safe and convenient for us. There is even a car rental agency in the hotel. I loved this hotel!”
