• This was a great hotel, upscale room and lobby.
• Neighborhood at night has some questionable elements.

• Able to check in early with no hassle. Room clean & quiet. Front Desk & most personnel extremely helpful & courteous. Had an ipod alarm clock!
• Exit parking attendant rude. Not enough open outlets for electronics charging. Would have like a few more channels on TV.

“I was very pleased with my stay at the Hyatt Morristown. I was directed very courteously to self-parking and the front desk was most accommodating and courteous. I felt like a welcome guest rather than a meal ticket. The room was clean and neat. It could use a few more open outlets for charging of cell phone, camera, etc. Was very pleased to see an ipod alarm clock! Just plug in ipod and play it or wake to it. WOW! I longed for a few more channels on TV, but overall was very satisfied.”

“This is the second time staying at this hotel, stay was not good. Brought to attention of manager and he rectified errors. I will stay here again because of the positive attitude of management.”

• Bathroom bad shape, Furniture old and scratched, Fixtures mounted cockaded.

“At best this is a 2 Star. Large Water spot on ceiling. Furniture old and scratched. Extra bed pillows and blanket remained in corner after first night. No writing material or pen. Ceiling light fixtures not mounted fulush to ceiling. Water sprinkler cover hanging over sprinkler nozzle. Bathroom wallpaper separating and patched. Bathtub sealer separated. Tile grouted missing or cracked. Tile about to fall off near bathtub. Bathroom ceiling light broke. Two shelve refrigerator just placed on floor. You had to get on knees to utilize. No cushion under carpet.”

• It needs to be cleaner rooms and public spaces.
• Convinced.

“When it was renovated it was beautiful but now the bloom is off the rose. It never fails but the cleaning staff does not do a good job. Also the plumbing needs attention water does not go down in the tub and the toilet does not flush well. When they renovate they never change the plumbing. It makes a stay of longer than one night so annoying. The staff at the front desk are just a little too crisp to the point of being unfriendly.”

“This is a very good business hotel located in Downtown Morristown, convenient to the nearby universities and a few very good places to eat. The surrounding streets are rather complicated at first, so it is hard to get around.”

• Upon leaving, I ordered a taxi but hotel booked me a town car and I paid excessive amount to airport.

“I enjoyed the stay, the hospitality up until the last moment. The hotel does not have shuttle to airport, so I asked for a taxi. I paid $80 for town car ride to the airport when a taxi would have cost me $50.”

• Staff member got me glass of milk from hotel kitchen after hours.
• Hotel was noisy from air handling systems, restaurant refrigeration unit, water pipes.

“This hotel is old with old plumbing, noisy air handling systems, ice machines, equipment which kept me awake the first night. I changed rooms for the second night early in the morning when I was able to get answer at front desk. Have too few staff at front desk therefore, unable to cope with registrants, those checking out, guests requests, concierge services, etc. As result no one gets good customer service. The place was decorated for modern look but not for comfort from bed linens to monstrosity of clock that needed a sheet of instructions with diagrams to understand. They tried to mimick modern comfort look in bedding but ended up with mattress pads that shifted in the night and didn't allow for varying needs in warmth. Ugh, I felt this hotel akin to old motel 6 with veneer of cheap redecorations. Seats in dining room were cheap and uncomfortable didn't fit anyone's body contour and added pillow was dirt and dust collector which didn't add comfort but unsanitary in public eating establishment.”

“Beautiful lobby and bedroom area. Was very disappointed in the amount of mold in the bathtub area. Broken tiles re-glued with mold in between not what I would expect.”

• The lobby was absolutely gorgeous.
• The bathrooms weren't super clean, though in no way dirty.

“I loved this hotel. The rooms were spacious, the lobby/bar was beautiful (I loved the twin glass chandeliers at the entrance!), parking was free and under the hotel (so we stayed dry in a downpour), and the staff was incredibly friendly. Not to mention the bed. I didn't want to get up! It was quiet, warm, and just what we wanted and I loved the iPod at home radio/alarm.”

• Expensive internet, no free Wi-Fi.

“Conveniently located in a reviving town of Morristown this hotel offers free excellent rooms, friendly staff, free garage for your car and a lot of nice restaurants nearby as well as Century 21 department store across the street. The only inconvenience is that its health club is far away from the lobby and requires you to walk through pedestrian mall. There is no free internet access with the exception of a small computer in the lobby. But for the price it's probably the best place around.”

• Clean, friendly, well appointed, accessible and convenient.
• The choice of soap and shampoo, white ginger, was awful and I used my own soap, shampoo and lotion rather than these horrid smelling free ones.

“Perfect for short stay: clean, friendly, well appointed, accessible and convenient. Elevator service was briefly out of order and staff ran special hosted freight service as a temporary solution. Bar and restaurant are both excellent but very pricey.”

• Renovations going on were a bit of a distraction.

“For business travelers, the location is excellent. Morristown is a nice place to be overnight, with plenty of restaurant and bar choices. Try Tim Shafer's directly across the street from the hotel.”

“The hotel was below hyatt standards. The room felt old. Wall paper in the bathroom was coming off. I would much rather stay at a Hampton Inn with free internet and breakfast than this.”

“This hotel is centrally located to a variety of restaurants. Mostly business travelers, great reasonably priced cafe that is closed on the weekends. Car is safe in attached garage, attached movie theatre. Rooms are very clean, and smell ultra fresh. The staff is very friendly and room service is fast & tasty! Will return!”

• The hotel stay was excellent for the price.
• The service could've been better; the price for breakfast was far too expensive.

“The location of the hotel was excellent. The hotel has excellent restaurants and a movie theatre within its complex. So for a relaxing trip, this is one of the best recommended hotels. The only expensive part was the breakfast, but overall can't complain.”

• I love this hotel and stay sometimes just to get away for a night.
• The elevators are being upgraded and sometimes take a while.

“I love staying at the Hyatt Morristown the rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable, the staff is courteous and friendly. The location is optimal, near great restaurants and shopping. I sometimes stay just to get away and relax on a whim.”

• Run down room, poor TV, Charge for using internet.

“The hotel is undergoing change. It does not look like a typical Hyatt. Furniture, etc. is run down. Has a good health club and free parking. There are few eating places outside the hotel. I was uncomfortable walking outside the hotel in the evening. Has a Starbuck with poor service. NY Times was delivered once during my 5 day stay. Can not get CNN other than headline news. No radio in the room. You should bring iPod.”

• The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The overall establishment was excellent and the free parking was a plus.
• The room was not as expected and they charge 9.95 a day for internet. Much lesser hotels have as nice of rooms with free web access.

“My stay was comfortable but not practical for a traveling business trip. For someone who needs to work in their room as much as I, it did not suit my needs.”

• The lobby and bar area are striking, bar/restaurant and valet service people are top notch.
• Front desk folk seemed a little put out so we used the self-service kiosk to check in and out.

“We previously stayed at this hotel a year ago and it was really lovely. This time it may have been the Thanksgiving rush but the reception staff proved a bit chilly. Otherwise, the rest of the restaurant, bar and valet staff were quite kind. Seemed a bit more "together" overall last year compared to this year (were the renovations possibly brand new then?) Overall, given the opportunity, definitely would stay there again.”

• The room was attractive and the view from the window was stunning.
• Due to construction, the access to the main lobby was more difficult than normal.

“This is a great hotel that is a part of a complex which includes a full gym, pool and movie theaters. Additionally, it is set in a charming town and close but not too close to the highway.”
