  • The hotel was very nice and it exceeded all of my expectations.
  • The hotel's indoor pool was not open because of construction.

“We stayed there for the night and then took the train into NYC. This is a great way to go because they let you park in their parking garage for free all week. Everything about this hotel is awesome. It is connected to a movie theater too! The only drawback is that the pool was closed for construction. Call ahead of time to see if the pool is open if you really want to swim.”

  • Price, parking, skittles, superb pillow top matress.
  • Bad room keys, pricey bar drinks, dated decor, drab window view, very limited TV programming.

“Location in Northern NJ is very convenient for the price but the urban setting of this hotel leaves something to be desired. Staff is better suited for business travelers while somewhat brusque, and efficient, not particularly warm or empathetic. Known problem with key-card maker led to avoidable trips up and down the elevator. Paint scheme and decor appears to be late 90's styling. TV is quite skimpy on the programming with only an essential cable news, weax, sports and an HBO channel. Some premium pay programming avail. Matress was above average king pillow top and white ginger toiletries were quite pleasent. Bar drinks were a bit high priced.”

  • Nice location however facade doesnt look like great hotel or hotel at all.

“Great place to stay if you want a nice place convenient to Train station and need to be close to hospital etc. Morristown isn't my favorite town but this place is convenient.”

  • Staff cannot find packages and parking garage is dreary and unfriendly.

  • The location, health club facilities, friendliness of staff.
  • The hotel room needs updating and refurbishing, no mini-fridge, bathroom sparsely equipped in room.

“The hotel was well located, with a number of good restaurants nearby. The room we were in was a good size, with space for a nice desk and reading chair in addition to the king sized bed. It was clean enough, although the furnishing and bathroom were a bit dated and we could have used a little fridge. But the hotel itself had a nice bar area, which offered Starbucks coffee in the mornings, an exceptionally good health club facility and an adjacent movie theater, and a good parking facility with easy access.”

  • Attached to movie theater and convenient to downtown.
  • Pool was inside health club and used by public, not just hotel guests.

“The hotel was nice. The staff was friendly and the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. My kids had to swim around private swim lessons taking place and only use a third of the small pool due to lap lanes. But, it was still enjoyable.”

  • Comfortable beds.
  • Water comes out of the faucet like a trickle.

“Was charged $6 for a bottle of water which I did not use? The price of the bottle in itself is outrageous, but being charged whether you use it or not is more so. I called to complain that the charge was on my bill and was told it would be removed. It was not. I had to ask a second time for it to be removed. We'll see if it still hits my credit card.”

  • The lobby was beautiful and the ambiance relaxing, close to amenities.
  • For a Hyatt, room was not up to standard, waste baskets no liners, ice bucket no liner, odor in room.

“For a Hyatt, I would expect 3 + star rating however, it was more like a 1 star. Pool and exercise facility was part of a business and not open to guests after hours (6:00 PM Sunday) not very convenient. It appeared that the price was met with low service and second class accommodations.”

  • Not a lot of options within walking distance for food, etc.

“I really liked the hotel. The lobby is beautiful. The room was nicely appointed. Some of the tile work and paint in the bath appeared older but the room has been updated in recent years. Staff was extremely helpful after I left my laptop in the room. I am grateful for their help.”

  • Able to check in early with no hassle. Room clean & quiet. Front Desk & most personnel extremely helpful & courteous. Had an ipod alarm clock!
  • Exit parking attendant rude. Not enough open outlets for electronics charging. Would have like a few more channels on TV.

“I was very pleased with my stay at the Hyatt Morristown. I was directed very courteously to self-parking and the front desk was most accommodating and courteous. I felt like a welcome guest rather than a meal ticket. The room was clean and neat. It could use a few more open outlets for charging of cell phone, camera, etc. Was very pleased to see an ipod alarm clock! Just plug in ipod and play it or wake to it. WOW! I longed for a few more channels on TV, but overall was very satisfied.”

“At best this is a 2 Star. Large Water spot on ceiling. Furniture old and scratched. Extra bed pillows and blanket remained in corner after first night. No writing material or pen. Ceiling light fixtures not mounted fulush to ceiling. Water sprinkler cover hanging over sprinkler nozzle. Bathroom wallpaper separating and patched. Bathtub sealer separated. Tile grouted missing or cracked. Tile about to fall off near bathtub. Bathroom ceiling light broke. Two shelve refrigerator just placed on floor. You had to get on knees to utilize. No cushion under carpet.”

  • It needs to be cleaner rooms and public spaces.
  • Convinced.

“When it was renovated it was beautiful but now the bloom is off the rose. It never fails but the cleaning staff does not do a good job. Also the plumbing needs attention water does not go down in the tub and the toilet does not flush well. When they renovate they never change the plumbing. It makes a stay of longer than one night so annoying. The staff at the front desk are just a little too crisp to the point of being unfriendly.”

“This is a very good business hotel located in Downtown Morristown, convenient to the nearby universities and a few very good places to eat. The surrounding streets are rather complicated at first, so it is hard to get around.”

  • Upon leaving, I ordered a taxi but hotel booked me a town car and I paid excessive amount to airport.

“I enjoyed the stay, the hospitality up until the last moment. The hotel does not have shuttle to airport, so I asked for a taxi. I paid $80 for town car ride to the airport when a taxi would have cost me $50.”

  • Staff member got me glass of milk from hotel kitchen after hours.
  • Hotel was noisy from air handling systems, restaurant refrigeration unit, water pipes.

“This hotel is old with old plumbing, noisy air handling systems, ice machines, equipment which kept me awake the first night. I changed rooms for the second night early in the morning when I was able to get answer at front desk. Have too few staff at front desk therefore, unable to cope with registrants, those checking out, guests requests, concierge services, etc. As result no one gets good customer service. The place was decorated for modern look but not for comfort from bed linens to monstrosity of clock that needed a sheet of instructions with diagrams to understand. They tried to mimick modern comfort look in bedding but ended up with mattress pads that shifted in the night and didn't allow for varying needs in warmth. Ugh, I felt this hotel akin to old motel 6 with veneer of cheap redecorations. Seats in dining room were cheap and uncomfortable didn't fit anyone's body contour and added pillow was dirt and dust collector which didn't add comfort but unsanitary in public eating establishment.”

  • The lobby was absolutely gorgeous.
  • The bathrooms weren't super clean, though in no way dirty.

“I loved this hotel. The rooms were spacious, the lobby/bar was beautiful (I loved the twin glass chandeliers at the entrance!), parking was free and under the hotel (so we stayed dry in a downpour), and the staff was incredibly friendly. Not to mention the bed. I didn't want to get up! It was quiet, warm, and just what we wanted and I loved the iPod at home radio/alarm.”
