• Bed was comfy, shower was nice.
• Paying for internet use. Having to request cleaning for my room. None of the hotel restaurants were open. Inconvenient remodeling.

• The staff was very helpful.
• We returned from a day out to find the maid left our hotel room door opened.

“Only bad experience was the room service food came and was all overcooked. They did not offer a kids menu per say as the hot dog platter we ordered for our five year old was a gourmet smoked hot dog that I cannot imagine any child would enjoy (besides it being overcooked) as my wife's meal and my own was dry as a bone / overcooked. The only other problem was we were traveling with some frozen food for our kids and were told the refrigerator in our room contained a small freezer which it did not.”

• Loved the breakfast, lunch & dinner buffets.
• Could easily hear other doors opening and closing.

“This was in a beautiful setting although you would need a car to get anywhere. It had a buffet almost all day. We could easily hear doors opening and closing and talking in the hall near our room, but it stopped about 10 pm.”

• This hotel is clean and well maintained.
• The room stayed very cold even though I turned up the thermostat in the morning.

“I have stayed at this hotel a few times using and the service hasn't been the best considering the brand. I have had minor problems each trip. This trip wasn't too bad. The thermostat did not seem to regulate the heating very well, but I like it cold in th room at night so it didn't bother me. If you like it toasty when you are sleeping it would be a problem. Overall, very nice though.”

• Beautiful hotel, lots to do, quick getaway from NYC.
• Can't think of any.

“We love the Doral Forrestal. The hotel is really nice, the spa is great, the restaurants are all wonderful (make sure to treat yourself to the Sunday Brunch) and the staff is super helpful. They have a nice pool and hot tub area, the fitness center is also great with updated equipment. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside and it is very nice. They have nice indoor tennis courts. My husband and I go down every 3-4 months and spend the weekend there and never leave the hotel. They have a nice bar with a great atmosphere and have 2 pool tables and a shuffleboard table in the back. I highly recommend it for business and leisure travel. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm going to go back soon.”

• The atmosphere was relaxing, natural and welcoming.

“If you want a hotel that feels more like a resort, this is the place to stay. The lobby feels more like a lodge than a hotel. It's obvious care was taken to create the perfect atmosphere for guests, whether traveling for business or pleasure.”

• Hotel had a very good quality feel to it.
• Other guests were up early and there was hall way noise.

“This is a very impressive facility. Although I did not eat in or take advantage of the spa I have to think that it was all first rate. The room was very nice with lots of perks.”

• Seems brand new, everything was clean, excellent landscaping, the indoor pool was the top.
• The bar was not opened at early evening.

“The hotel was one of the top rated facilities that I have ever been. My family (9 and 16 year old daughter and my wife) enjoyed the hotel very much. All the beautiful garden, peace, quietness, very friendly staffs, excellent quality of room service foods, and the indoor pool.”

“There was a strange smell coming from the night table and bureau drawers so I kept my clothes in my suitcase. I did not receive a newspaper either day of my stay. The hotel itself is a nice conference center with beautiful grounds.”

• Beautiful facility which allowed me to be able to relax.
• The area where my room is seems to be older and the ice machine still leaks since January 2008-4months ago! And no apples available in the lobby.

“I was preparing for a certification exam in January of this year and wanted to sequester myself away from work and family to focus on the material, so I sought after a 3star hotel and 'won' the Princeton Marriott at Forestall Village-LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. Especially the pool and the gym. I was able to study and veggie-and I passed the exam on day 4! I loved it so much that Ive been back twice since then and look forward to going back again and again and again!”

• The woodsy feeling.
• Parking, handicapped and regular is too far from the hotel.

“The doorman should have refused tips for handicapped parkers, whose cars he parked. There is no way could have made it to that parking. Had a rich atmosphere, more than other three star hotels.”

• Great location, and probably the best hotel, comfort-wise in the area.
• Heat was blasting with no controls. Room service woke us up every morning.

“Great hotel that I cannot recommend enough however, for my experience, we had a fire alarm at 3:45am, and room service woke us up at 8:00-8:30 every morning, as the hotel did not supply a "do not disturb" sign. Also, the room was about 78 degrees all the time. There was nothing we, or the hotel could do to turn the heat down. They said it was out of their control. They provided a fan, but that was it very uncomfortable at night. Other than those crappy conditions, the location was great, bed was very comfortable, and the staff was among the best I have ever encountered, helpful and kind. I would definitely stay there again.”

• Needs better signs/signage to direct travelers around the hotel.

Pillow top beds, immaculate rooms, upgraded materials (granite countertops), first class fitness center, Starbucks coffee in the lobby, and a friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended to others.”

• It was cold when I visited and there were several heaters outside next to benches and on the patio. Loved that.
• TV reception was at times questionable.

• Remote wooded location away from highway.
• In restaurant service was poor at best.

“Location, the facility, the service staff made the stay completely worthwhile, and a very good experience. The restaurant for breakfast was very different. There was no seating hostess to be found so after waiting we seated ourselves. The waiters ignored us, the meals overpriced, and I should have just walked out, having to wait 10 minutes just to get a bill so we could pay and leave.”

• It's very quiet; when you live the business area you come to relax you don't need to know anything about the outside world.
• I was pleased with mostly everything.

• The price was right and the location was convenient.
• Service was substandard for Marriott.

“We called at 8pm to say we needed a late check in. We asked for a roll-away at that time. Upon check in, we were told we had the rollaway in the room. At midnight we had to call, for the bed and waited for 1 hr then. They just lacked enthusiasm for the hospitality industry!”

• The staff were immensely helpful.

“This hotel was very classy, however their "Business Center" consisted of one very slow computer. Also there was only one soda machine and it was half full of sports drinks. All Cafe beverages were sold out and required me to go down to the front desk and have them open the store. The room was very comfortable and the staff was very accommodating.”

• Decor comfort, quiet, good light, nice linens, clean.
• Front desk staff unknowledgeable, directions not good on property.

“As you drive up the directions are not obvious on the property and there are few signs. Once you arrive you are greeted by a landscaped entrance that balances both the hotel and the landscape. Inside are beautiful vaulted ceilings with exposed beans and vast amounts of light. The decor is Asian in tone and peaceful. The rooms offer comfort and meet the needs of the average business traveler. The front desk staff could use some improvement but I stayed just one night; came in late Sunday and left Monday so maybe it was just an off day. I would stay again.”

• Lost our hard copy of a faxed contract.

“Conveniently located to Princeton and route 1 corridor, yet quietly tucked into peaceful campus of its own. Tastefully decorated lobby and rooms. Extra amenities like down comforters, pillow-top mattresses, granite countertops, and bath and body works toiletries make this 3-star seem more like a 4-star. Spa on the premises as well as restaurants. Romantic and quiet enough for a couple on a weekend stay. Family friendly extras like in-room Nintendo and small refrigerator. For the business traveler, in-room coffee makers and even the considerate addition of to-go cups, handy access to meeting places, in-room internet access, and easy access to main highway.”
