- The condition of the hotel is horrible.
“Checked in and entered room. Room was very cold, turned heating unit on and the room slowly heated up. Temperature of room very difficult to control. Attempted shower the next morning. Shower condition was absolutely horrible. Plumbing in very bad condition. Change rooms two time. Got new room still with weak plumbing, but was too tired to go through this anymore. staff was courteous in changing room but took no time to examine room prior to me moving. They could have inspected rooms prior to flipping me from bad to worse to bad. Also, internet service was very weak.”

- One of the staff members was wonderful. She came outside to flag me down when I was lost.
- When I called for directions at 11pm I was told there was no one on the front desk just an answering service (not true).
“This hotel is not fancy like the local Hyatt, Marriott and Weston, all of which Ive stayed at, but it's cheaper, too. It's very convenient to Princeton, but tricky getting into from rt. 1 with confusion of mall across the road and many exits. I went in circles a bit. Room was clean and simple and had everything I needed. I like having kitchen facilities and access to washer/dryer. One staff member (late night) was very nice but others disinterested to curt. When I called for directions, I was given incorrect directions and then when I called back at a little after 11pm, the receptionist told me there was no one on the front desk and couldn't help me.”

- Hardest bed I ever slept on.
“The location was great, and the out side was nice, minor problems checking in, trying to charge a different rate on top of what I had already paid. The room was ok, small, there was left over milk in the fridge from the last guest. The bed was the hardest I have ever slept in. I got the worst sleep. On top of that, the AC smelt moldy and sent me into a bad allergy attack. To say the least, I was not pleased.”

- The rooms were not clean. There was some smell in our room which we couldn't sleep well. Worried about that always! Worried whether the bed is clean.

- Charge for wireless, room filthy, moved us though, tried to change rooms 3times charge.
“Attempted to change rooms on arrival-they were going to charge me three times what I had already spent for a two bed room versus queen size. Went into the room and the toilet had not been flushed for weeks and made us physically ill. They did move us and placed us in a double room to make up the difference. Charged for wireless-thought that was odd considering it was for business travelers. No food place within walking distance at all.”

- The room had a small kitchenette.
- I was assigned a smoking room. The air conditioner was broken. The staff was decidedly unhelpful.
“I stayed at this hotel twice. For my first stay at this hotel, I was assigned a smoking room that smelled terrible. The hotel staff refused to give me another room. During my second stay at the hotel, my air conditioner did not work. The front desk staff were very unhelpful and told me that there were no other rooms and that it would take more than 36 hours before the maintenance would be able to look at the AC unit. I insisted on speaking to the manager who then assigned me to another room. Why did they tell me that there were no other rooms available when there were? In my new room, the phone did not work. The front desk again told me that they would refer the problem to maintenance who would look at the phone the next day. I asked to speak to the manager, and the lady at the front desk put me on hold. When she returned, she told me that the phone was now working. If the problem was so easy to fix, why were they unwilling to fix it until after I made a fuss? It seems that their default position is to avoid dealing with any problems until a customer goes out of his way to really complain. I would not stay here again.”

“My family was profoundly disappointed with "Extended Stay America West Windsor". This hotel was terrible. It smelled very bad. The staff was incompetent (only one person worked at the hotel and she did not know how to issue a second card key or even tell you which exit to take from the highway to get to the hotel - even though it was only 100 feet from the highway. The room was not clean when we got there.”

- The hotel is not honest to customers.
“When we checked in, I was surprised that that they only have a room with one queen bed for us. When asked for a room with two double beds, I was told I had to pay for additional $15.00. After paid additional charge, I checked in the room and found the room had not be cleaned yet. Then I was switched to another room with one king bed. When asked for the refund of additional charge, I was told that this room cost even more, which I don't believe (The room I stayed in Homewood Suit was the same and I did paything more).”

- The hotel was OK and appeared quite clean. We liked small kitchen in the room, and closeness of a great Whole Foods store.
- We were bitten by bedbugs. Many hotels in the NJ area must be infected by them, because it happened the second time.
“The hotel appeared very clean, and it was very easy to get there. I liked the small kitchen in the room. We drove 5 minutes to a great Whole Food store, brought our food to the room and had healthy dinner and breakfast there. But the whole experience was spoiled, by bedbugs - I was severely bitten in the night. The hotels in NY and NJ area must be infected by bedbugs as it was the second time I had this horrible experience there.”

“The staff is open to serve quite early in the morning until quite late in the evening, so we could exchange linens as needed. There is an affordable laundry with many machines instead of only one or two. This allowed us to do our laundry in a short period of time. It was romantic to stop during our busy trip to relax and cook dinner together instead of having to eat at restaurants My husband especially like the comfortable king size bed to stretch out.”

- Convenience to the locations I needed to be.
- Traveling with a baby. Called and advised they had no crib and we needed to fly with one.
“The hotel was nice. It was relatively clean. The bathroom had a loose toilet seat. There were tools left in the hall and accessible to children. We were traveling with a baby and when we called to find out what kind of crib they had we were advised they did not have one at all and we would need to bring one if we needed it. Flying with babies requires lots of equipment. We did not expect to have to travel with a pack-n-play also just because the hotel did not have one. The staff was nice and friendly. Overall a good experience.”

- Mismatched dishes, poor front desk service (misinformed our son that we were not taking calls).
“Reasonable place stay. Don't expect any service. Front desk staff uninformed and lacks motivation to help. No toiletries. TV reception very limited. No FM-AM radio.”
