“There was no pool. For the star level and the brand name, I expected a pool and better workout facilities. The elevators were run down. Housekeeping did not clean our room.” Aug 5, 2009 by
John from Williamsport,PA
“Highly recommend.” Jun 14, 2009 by
David from Andover,MA
“The hotel was nice, however you have to pay to park in a parking garage that the hotel does not own. The hotel doesn't give out parking vouchers and you are not told about the parking situation on priceline - it cost extra to park or risk parking on the street. Not the best neighborhood.” May 31, 2009 by
Carol from Cape May Court House,NJ
“Comfortable, clean, staff Sep 5, 2008 by
Abraham from Jersey City, NJ
“Hotel staff friendly but charged my card, it took them 3 days to get my money back, and they charged me for a movie I did not watch and added $20.00 and nothing in return for the bad experience.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Melissa from Saint Louis, MO
“Excellent bedding and pillows, all down! I have never stayed at a hotel with a friendlier staff. The room service was good and quick. The Trenton area is not the safest and there are not many family friendly places to eat.” Aug 29, 2008 by
Natalie from Cranberry Twp, PA
“We loved this hotel! It was clean, comfy and the staff was excellent, we just wish you didn't have to drive through such a scary area to get to it.” Aug 26, 2008 by
Thanisorn from Jersey City, NJ
“We had a hard time requesting a baby crib. We checked in at 3 pm just to make sure we'd have everything we needed. We requested refrigerator & baby crib. The fridge came and the guy said he will be back with the crib. An hour passed by no crib. Called them couple times - no solutions, they just said working on it. So we left and hoped to get it when we're back. We back at 8:30 pm. Still no crib called them couple times - still working on it. At 9:30 pm we came down to the front desk & they told us they ran out of them. Thanks for the manager who somehow made the staff found it for us.” Aug 22, 2008 by
Rebecca from Laconia, NH
“The hotel was a little hard to find but very nice and clean. Although parking in the garage is expensive we were able to find parking on the street both nights of our stay. The staff was very friendly. Our only complaint was the lack of a pool. Good place to stay and very close to Sesame Place.” Aug 21, 2008 by
Jason from Selden, NY
“I am very disappointed with this hotel. When at the restaurant our waiter forgot to put in our orders for our dinners, and placed the check at our table right after the appetizers that came out cold. The wait to get just our appetizers was at least an hour and our drinks were never offered to be refilled. The waiter had to be continuously searched for and directed. The Manager did comp our appetizers, but the damage was done by then, and that was the least that could have been done. Our room was fairly clean, but overall the service and quality fell very short of a three star hotel. I would never stay at this hotel again.” Aug 20, 2008 by
Connie from Hillburn, NY
“Did not like that fact that I had to pay to park my car in the garage. I did not want to leave my car on the street overnight.” Aug 19, 2008 by
Elizabeth from Upper Marlboro, MD
“Very nice.” Aug 19, 2008 by
Cynthia from Sandy Hook, CT
“We were very pleased with this Marriott. Very convenient to the highway, safe location. Rooms were well appointed and I cannot say enough about the front desk and room service staff. Great customer service which is so hard to find today. We would stay there again without question.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Scott from Sugarloaf, PA
“I only stayed at the hotel for one night. I checked in at 5:30 PM and was assisted by a very nice young black female. The check-in process went very smooth. I later had appetizers and drinks with two other hotel patrons at the hotel bar. The bartender was very prompt and friendly. I never had to wait, or ask for a drink. The bar appetizer menu was sufficient, but the food was excellent. Overall, this hotel is very well managed.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Juanita from Randolph, MA
“Overall the hotel was nice and the service was ok. At the time that I and my family went to check out of the hotel we notice that our van was missing. We went into the hotel requesting assistance on what to do and were told to contact the police which the front desk did not offer to do for us. We had to use our cell phone to call. We were traveling with 6 children and 2 infants and had just checked out of their hotel and were not offered basically any assistance by the front desk. After renting 3 rooms for a week in their hotel and having one of our vans stolen from their location, you would think that they would have been a little more accommodating! After finding out that our van was stolen, we now had the task of finding a rental car to drive back home to Boston, MA. Went back inside to ask the front desk for numbers to rental companies and was told that the Hertz phone was over on the side table. Went to call Hertz and was told by them that there were no cars available, so again began the task of searching for car rental companies, which we were not able to locate a car until 7pm at night as it was the weekend and college students were returning from break. Can not blame the hotel for that but can say that with 6 children and 2 infants the least they could have done was accommodate us with a room until we were able to locate a car! Nightmare!” Aug 18, 2008 by
N from Manchester, CT
“Although the hotel was 10 min from sesame place, it was not fairly friendly. The hotel was in the middle of the city but there was no option to eat anywhere else but the hotel. There were loud noises at night from the drinker in hotel bar leaving. We had to pay for parking.” Aug 17, 2008 by
Becca from Austin, TX
“This hotel was visually way nicer than expected for a 3 star hotel. The accommodations were very nice and clean. The front desk staff was very pleasant. However, stick with room service for your food. The food was excellent everywhere we ate, but the staff at the restaurant was ridiculously incompetent. My friend and I were incredulous at the treatment and service we received all the way up to the manager at the restaurant downstairs. They were oblivious to even the most basic courtesies as wait staff. We had to hunt them down and ask for every little thing we needed. They stared blankly at you until you asked them to do exactly what you needed. I have never seen anything like it in my life! So, all in all, a great hotel with bizarre service. The front desk was nice, but I am not sure what would have happened if we needed anything above and beyond the call of duty! This was a great stay--just stick with room service!” Aug 16, 2008 by
Kristen from Northport, NY
“Staff was friendly, decor was fine, but we had to park in a parking garage next door which was desolate and quite scary at night and then take an old creaky elevator to get to street level with all of our bags and walk to the hotel next door - for this privilege, we were charged $13.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Jan from Dumfries, VA
“The hotel was clean. The parking was over priced ($13 per day) especially for hotel guests. There should be some kind of discount for guests if not free parking. I had to ask for a do not disturb sign none was provided in my room. The drain in the tub was disconnected. We had to pay a toll every day to go to Pennsylvania. This hotel is not located in the safest part of New Jersey. The staff did not inform us that the street to the main entrance would be barricaded during a certain period of time. The gentleman questioned my early arrival (1:45 pm) in an empty hotel. The bellman just started at me and did not offer his services. It was very professional for him to be hanging out at the desk.” Aug 11, 2008 by
Mary from Ephrata, PA
“It was nice for business travelers. It was clean and the accommodations were nice. The staff was friendly and competent.” Aug 10, 2008 by
Nick from Woodside, NY
“Nice room very up to date. room should have been cleaner.” Aug 9, 2008 by
Marisol from Brooklyn, NY
“This hotel is clean and welcoming. A nice mix of buisness and family travelers make it quiet without being snobby. Tasteful decor in the rooms and public areas continue the restful theme.” Aug 8, 2008 by
Jawanda from Columbia, MD
“Marriott was exquisite with soft plush carpet in the elevator.” Aug 7, 2008 by
Marion from Washington, DC
“The visitor could tell that the staff took great pride in their workplace. We ordered room service, the meal was delivered in a timely manner and was very tasty. The staff person even went back to get a second set of silver ware when he found that the salad and pizza was not just for one occupant.” Aug 7, 2008 by
Brian from Hoboken, NJ
“A semi-suburban city hotel should have a pool to be assigned above 2 stars in my opinion. What a terribly disappointing weekend for my 3 year old and our family,” Aug 3, 2008 by
Anil from Sugarland, TX
“If this is a Marriott hotel, next time I have to think 20 times if this is for us.” Aug 2, 2008 by
Tiffany from Delmar, MD
“The hotel was great, however because of the location we ended up spending almost $30 to park for the 2 nights, which was a bit ridiculous. Would not recommend it for families, no pool, etc.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Sk from Whitestone, NY
“Very well trained and friendly employees at the hotel. Room and public accessible area are very clean and comfortable. Hotel restaurant food is excellent.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Mark from Merrick, NY
“You can park on the street on the weekends but on the weekday you must pay $12.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Stephanie from Charles Town, WV
“We stayed at this hotel while visiting Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA. It was only about 10-15 minutes from the park. We were pleasantly surprised by everything this hotel had to offer. Friendly staff, clean room, nice restaurant with good food. Would stay here again!” Jul 26, 2008 by
Gary from Northford, CT
“I was traveling with my wife and 3 small children, 6, 5, 20 months on a family vacation. We went to Sesame Place and the hotel was only about 10 minutes away. The hotel seemed a little more business oriented as we did not see many kids but it was clean and in a safe environment and the staff was very helpful.” Jul 22, 2008 by
Heather from Rochester, NY
“When I checked out, I asked for directions. The first woman I dealt with had difficulty finding what I needed and asked the second female front desk clerk for assistance who was sitting in the back office. This clerk rolled her eyes and let out a sigh - appearing annoyed with my asking for assistance with directions. When she gave me the directions she did not utter a word but just handed them to me and walked away. She lacked the pleasant customer service that I received at check-in!” Jul 20, 2008 by
Sharon from Mays Landing, NJ
“The Marriot in Trenton was clean, cozy and comfortable. We were only there for one night, but enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We would recommend to friends.” Jul 20, 2008 by
Heidi from Dunmore, PA
“While there were a lot of hotels literally in walking distance to the park we ended up in Trenton, NJ (which was about 15 min drive). However, the park is in a very nice area while Trenton is a very run down and scary city. We had to pay for parking which added to our bill. The hotel did not offer any coffee of continental breakfast but did have a restaurant. We didn't leave our room as the area is less than desirable where the hotel is located. However, the hotel was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly to us.” Jul 19, 2008 by
Luke from Cross Junction, VA
“We didn't mind this hotel for convenience to our reason for staying (Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA), but that was the only convenience. We'll likely stay somewhere in Langhorne that may not be as nice, but it will be in a safe area with restaurants and shopping centers open past 6 pm on a weekday. In Trenton, everything was barred up and locked by the time we checked in at 7:30 pm and no one could tell me of an ice cream or coffee place within walking distance. In fact, I was told I should drive to the DQ across the bridge in Morristown which was even scarier. Nice hotel and great staff but it didn't seem like it fit where it was located.” Jul 18, 2008 by
R- from Berlin, CT
“The staff is great. Our stay was very nice and would recommend. We went to Sesame Place and it only took us about 10 min to get there. The down fall there is no night life to even go for a drink or a coffee. But would recommend.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Ken from Ocoee, FL
“Great place to stay on weekend, if you are going to Sesame Place. Hotel was close to everything.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Lisa from Raleigh, NC
“Once we figured out how to get there, it was excellent! Very clean, comfortable and with many amenities.” Jul 8, 2008 by
William from Greensboro, NC
“Nice stayed one night and it was perfect for my trip.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Kisha from Bolingbrook, IL
“This is a nice, decent hotel for business travelers and those looking to save a few pennies. We had a few issues such as we were overcharged for their internet so had to have it removed. Also it cost us 156.00 for 7 people to eat breakfast in their restaurant. Definately ask them for the menu for pats diner, its superb, tons of food for 1/3 the cost. Staff was very nice and accommodating.” Jul 3, 2008 by
Bill from Wexford, PA
“If you are looking at staying near Bucks county Pennsylvania, this is the spot. Convenient to everything within a short drive. Beautiful hidden gem in Trenton.” Jul 2, 2008 by
Andrew from Virginia Beach, VA
“It was quite nice for the price. I like ice, and rice!” Jun 29, 2008 by
Valerie from Colonial Heights, VA
“The room was very clean and the sheets were fresh. The location of the hotel was not in the best neighborhood and parking cost extra.” Jun 29, 2008 by
Christy from Kalida, OH
“I would not stay there again. It was more of a hotel for business travelers rather than for a family on vacation. There also was no free continental breakfast, no pool, no fridge in the room, the parking was a pain - we had to park in a parking garage - charging $13.00 a day. I do not recommend this hotel nor will I ever stay there again.” Jun 4, 2008 by
Kathy from Jamestown, NY
“The staff went above and beyond my expectations. They were helpful and knowledgeable and able to help us get where we needed to go. I was extremely impressed at the level of professionalism and grateful for all of their help.” Jun 4, 2008 by
Julie from New York, NY
“The staff was great! Check-in took less than minutes and once they saw our 22 month old offered us a crib at no charge. We asked for directions and they were so friendly they even printed the direction for us. My only complaint was that the area was extremely isolated. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and it was like a ghost town almost like being in a horror movie. Everything was closed and you hardly saw any people. The hotel does not have parking for its guest but does have a garage that you can park for a fee. Luckily, we found parking on the street. The staff was friendly and the hotel was located less than 10 minutes from Sesame Place. This is a great location if your a business traveler and I wouldn't really recommend this hotel for family. There was nothing to do in the hotel. No pool, no arcade nothing for kids to do but hang out in the room.” May 27, 2008 by
Ari from Chester, NY
“This hotel satisfied our needs as being the closest place to rest after a long day, that was about it. The location is terrible, in the middle of a business district of Trenton. There is nothing near by, no bars or food or entertainment, nothing! The "concierge" who drives the "courtesy" van was useless, could not recommend anywhere to eat that we wouldn't get shot at. The restaurant was the best part, by far, other than the staff. The food was excellent and I highly recommend the breakfast buffet!” May 27, 2008 by
Judy from Middletown, DE
“Staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and quiet.” May 12, 2008 by
Judy from Middletown, DE
“Marriott Trenton is easily accessible from Rt.1 in Trenton, NJ. The hotel was clean and safe, located in the historic area of Trenton. The street was very quiet and the businesses closed early. When dining in, I found the restaurant was excellent!” May 10, 2008 by
Tom from Scranton, PA
“Staff was friendly and attentive until I tried to reserve additional nights. Great mattress and room service food.”
