• I enjoyed the location to all things in the area, as well as the helpful staff...
• I didn't think the room was very clean

• Lovely smells when you entered the lobby area of hot apple cider/cinnamon, also lovely staircase with white decorative ribbon & rocking chair.
• Could hear highway traffic of I-78, not soundproof.

“Had a very pleasant stay at hotel, had all amenities but restaurant was always empty. Historic Clinton center nearby is well worth a visit & good restaurant/cafes.”

• Easy access off a major interstate highway.

“As this was my first stay at the Holiday Inn-Select in Clinton, NJ, my stay was relaxing. The staff greeted me with curiosity and provided excellent service. I would recommend this hotel to friends, family and professionals.”

• There are too many things to list.

“The hotel was obviously in need of renovations. Water did not drain in the tub while taking a shower. Locks did not work on the room door properly. And the grout in the bathroom was so full of mildew I could have manufactured my own penicillin.”

• fairly convenient location
• old hotel - "face lifts" only go so far. Unexceptional.

“Old hotel with few amenities -- shallow pool and anemic hot tub. Close to highway & in nice town. We'd rather take our chances elsewhere the next time we're in the area, though...”

• I like that there is a bar in the lobby.
• The bar had a dress code and Michelle, the bartender is very rude

“My wife stayed at Holiday Inn Select in Clinton for 2 solid months. She felt safe, large rooms, nice facilities and amenities, and absolutely no hassle. It's in a small rural town but if you want to be in that region it's unbeatable and fairly priced.”

• Friendly staff, affordable, excellent service, coffee in lobby, inexpensive buffet where kids eat FREE!
• Not enough towels in rooms, cleaning of rooms sub standard.

“Overall, we totally enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it with no qualifications whatsoever. It was absolutely delightful.”

• I'd have to make something up!

“Excellent quality, reasonable price, in a small town setting. Convenient breakfast and evening snack bar. Large, well furnished rooms. Friendly staff and safe, comfortable atmosphere. Friendly tavern and quality restaurant onsite. My wife stayed 2 months during relocation and loved it!”

• It was a nice hotel, neat and clean. Love the new style shower curtain
• No continental breakfast

“Interesting bio", in room, telling of origins of hotel grounds...Folk lore "ghost story makes one cry...Clinton town history and tradition.
Very professional staff yet went out the way to make one feel as ease with surroundings.

• There were some very good restaurants within a short driving distance.
• Room was dirty and worn. Breakfast was overpriced and nothing special.

“The blanket on my bed had holes in it. The tub drained very slowly because of large clumps of hair plugging the drain (I can't believe the housekeeping staff wouldn't see this -- the tub wouldn't drain). I made a mark on a glass that I used to see if it was replace the next day. It was put back as if it was clean, but it was the same glass!”

“This hotel was not at the level of a 3-star Holiday Inn Select. The bathroom counter was cracked, there was hair on the wash towel on the bathroom sink. The speed buttons on the telephone didn't work, there was mold on the inside of the shower curtain. I used a glass, and to see if it was replaced, I put a mark on the bottom of the glass. The next day, the glasses were back on the counter and the used one was back as if it was a new, clean glass. The staff was friendly, but the rooms and the maid staff need work.”

“It was not what I expected for a Holiday Inn Select. It seemed old and worn. The restaurant was terrible -- the $15 breakfast buffet consisted of about 3 fruits (all mixed together), cold eggs, and a very small selection of cereals. I was not impressed.”
