• The staff was helpful and made my stay memorable.
• Lamp next to bed wasn't working.

“The staff was amazing; they were friendly & helpful with every request. I love this hotel, it was a very memorable experience. Breakfast buffet in the restaurant was delicious, with a wide variety of selections! I look forward to traveling to the area again!”

“Non-smoking room smelled like fresh smoke. They allow smoking in rooms right next to non-smoking rooms. Shower and sink clogged and filled up with water.”

• Common areas were very nice.
• Expensive considering how far it was from East Coast attractions.

“If you are looking for a clean and comfortable, this is a good place. It's quite a drive to any major East Coast attractions but if you have business in the Clinton area, it's a good place to stay. Typical for East Coast, it is pretty pricy.”

• The lobby area is very nice looking and there is a night club.
• It did not have anything to eat for a person on an alternative diet.

“It was nice, quiet, the staff was very nice. We found that we needed a fridge and they sent one up to our room with no problem. The girl that does the fixing of anything knew what she was doing. It is a nice place to stay.”

• A great pool - spacious and well groomed.

• Clean, bright, friendly.
• Was not sat us at the restaurant or offered a menu. Paid $12 for an English muffin on the buffet.

“Needs better restaurant service. No one sat us for breakfast or offered a breakfast menu. I was not feeling well so I only had an English muffin from the buffet but was charged the full $12 buffet cost. Had to ask the waitress twice for coffee. Hot water was being repaired when we arrived after driving 9 hours. I really wanted to take a shower before meeting friends in Clifton. The front desk apologized for the inconvenience. It was not a big problem, but a breakfast voucher as compensation would have been nice.”

• Out of the way without seeming remote.
• Showing a little age.

“I've stayed here several times while driving to my daughter's college. After a 14 hour drive we appreciate exceedingly friendly and helpful staff, always knowledgeable about places to eat and see in Clinton. Large indoor pool. Very quiet hotel for a somewhat large facility. Great cookies, too.”

• Staff is very accommodating and recognizes repeat guests.

“Holiday Inn Select in Clinton is nicely located off I78, yet quiet. It's easily accessible to the town, restaurants, attractions and shopping. The hotel amenities are quite nice, although there's only 1 public use internet computer (wireless available in-room). It's very open, airy, and welcoming.”

“I was disappointed. The scrap booking weekend was cancelled. I called the hotel left message and they never called back. E-mailed hotel and they never responded. I was extremely disappointed!”

• Had ants in hallway near vending machine and had a few in my room also.

“Was good location, not much around area, but was better than hotel in Phillips burg which was awful. Water was hot and that was always nice when taking a shower. Rooms were comfortable. Would have liked a hair dryer in room and microwave and refrigerator.”

“Over-rated hotel. Price does not include breakfast (morning buffet &9.95+tax&tip). Front desk staff friendly. No wireless Internet above floor 2. Had trouble getting wired to work and spent 45 minutes on phone with Deval support company to get it working. Hotel is under renovation and very dusty. The coffee maker is on a lower shelf (non-sliding) in the same unit as the TV. It could not be more inconvenient. The room thermostat does not really set a lower temp than the hotel wants you to have, It stayed way to warm in the room. The shower did have a mirror but it's goose neck holder was broken. I was hit on the head several times when the mirror fell off of the goose neck (thank goodness that there was an internal wire that kept it from falling to the floor) while showering. The temperature controller was very sensitive and went from cold to boiling hot with the slightest adjustment. They call this the "Holiday Inn Select" but I would never select. ”

• The front desk clerk said, *Welcome Home* when I walked in after a long day and a long drive and handed me a warm cookie :)
• Rather secluded. not a nearby restaurant...had to eat at hotel.

“We enjoyed staying at the Hotel. Would suggest a better menu with more choices. Sometimes we don't want much for breakfast. I had a waffle which cost me I believe $10.99. Some places offer coffee and rolls for free. Thanks for a pleasant stay.”

• Lovely smells when you entered the lobby area of hot apple cider/cinnamon, also lovely staircase with white decorative ribbon & rocking chair.
• Could hear highway traffic of I-78, not soundproof.

“Had a very pleasant stay at hotel, had all amenities but restaurant was always empty. Historic Clinton center nearby is well worth a visit & good restaurant/cafes.”

“The hotel was obviously in need of renovations. Water did not drain in the tub while taking a shower. Locks did not work on the room door properly. And the grout in the bathroom was so full of mildew I could have manufactured my own penicillin.”

“My wife stayed at Holiday Inn Select in Clinton for 2 solid months. She felt safe, large rooms, nice facilities and amenities, and absolutely no hassle. It's in a small rural town but if you want to be in that region it's unbeatable and fairly priced.”

• There were some very good restaurants within a short driving distance.
• Room was dirty and worn. Breakfast was overpriced and nothing special.

“The blanket on my bed had holes in it. The tub drained very slowly because of large clumps of hair plugging the drain (I can't believe the housekeeping staff wouldn't see this -- the tub wouldn't drain). I made a mark on a glass that I used to see if it was replace the next day. It was put back as if it was clean, but it was the same glass!”

“This hotel was not at the level of a 3-star Holiday Inn Select. The bathroom counter was cracked, there was hair on the wash towel on the bathroom sink. The speed buttons on the telephone didn't work, there was mold on the inside of the shower curtain. I used a glass, and to see if it was replaced, I put a mark on the bottom of the glass. The next day, the glasses were back on the counter and the used one was back as if it was a new, clean glass. The staff was friendly, but the rooms and the maid staff need work.”

“It was not what I expected for a Holiday Inn Select. It seemed old and worn. The restaurant was terrible -- the $15 breakfast buffet consisted of about 3 fruits (all mixed together), cold eggs, and a very small selection of cereals. I was not impressed.”
