“If given the option of staying at Motel 8 or one of the fraternity houses at the college pick the fraternity house. Upon arrival the front desk staff was unable to properly program my keys so I had to drag my luggage back to the front desk while they corrected the problem. Once I got in the room, the accommodations were what I expected in a one-star motor lodge, however the housekeeping was horrible. I am a frequent traveler and I am pretty forgiving when it comes to cleanliness, however this was unbelievable. The bathroom floor had hair (not mine) in all 4 corners. I found food crumbs on the desk when I went to open my laptop. The TV remote had dead batteries, another trip to the front desk. Then when I tried to go to sleep I found the fitted sheet to be old and the elastic was stretched out so the sheet kept coming off the bed. All in all it was a horrible experience, and one that a bit more pride by the hotel staff could easily fix.” Aug 28, 2008 by

“This place was awful and way overpriced. Door in lobby was broken. Room reeked of tobacco, air-conditioning did not work. When we asked for another room, desk clerk acted as if she was doing us a favor. Never again.” Aug 20, 2008 by

“Overall, everything was what you would expect. There was not much of a continental breakfast. They had our information incorrect for the housekeeping staff who tried to kick us out a day early and woke our baby up from a nap.” Aug 18, 2008 by

“This was just an economical stopover for us for a visit to nearby Cooperstown. Considering we arrived late at night and left early in the morning it met our needs. The room was clean, but very basic and the decor dated - as was that of the public spaces. The staff was friendly for our brief encounters with them. Unfortunately, we did experience a strange/foul odor in the staircase area which we needed to take to get to our room. We opted not to stay in the motel for breakfast.” Aug 14, 2008 by

“The hotel was clean and economical. It was very close to sunny Oneonta. It was worth the money.” Mar 9, 2007 by

“I have stayed here several times and will continue to stay as long as my son attends college in Oneonta.” Hotel Representatives:
