• I stayed here on two different occasions, the first was a spare room, were I had to ask for items, the second was not the case.

“All rooms are not equal here, seems like they take from others to bring up to hotel standard. My clock did not work, no frying pan and no mattress cover. On my second stay a few days later, they actually had everything in the room, but they did shut me key off prior to check out time.”

“This is a good budget hotel for travelers. It is definitely bare bones no shampoo or toiletries provided and you even have to buy your own packet of dishwashing liquid to clean the dishes provided. Overall, though, it's safe, friendly staff, convenient and definitely a great value for the money. I would definitely return here.”

• The kitchenette area and the price.
• There was no soda, snack machines or convenience items.

“Because this is extended stay there were many people "living" there with their pets. I am extremely allergic to animals and suffered the entire weekend. In the future, I would like to know beforehand that animals have stayed in the rooms.”

“The hotel is a typical studio type setting with a kitchen, frig, TV and bed and bathroom. The space is perfect for one person. And the kitchen is convenient for long stays. The price was fair! It was a good place to stay for one person on a business trip, nothing fancy but clean and nice in a good neighborhood.”

• The room was messy and the bed uncomfortable.

“This is an economy "extended" stay hotel with few amenities. In a fairly accessible location, but the room clearly was cleaned well and definitely not in preparation for our stay -- there were tissues behind the couch, the sofa bed had an old sheet on it (and was extremely uncomfortable) and there were small bits of the popcorn ceiling on the couch from the vibrations from the floor above.”

• The kitchenette is very convenient.
• The hotel is a good distance from center city Philadelphia.

“The hotel was nice for one night. It's more intended for a long-term studio apartment. There were many large mirrors and only one pillow on each side of the bed. It works for a no-frills hotel, but if your idea of vacation is staying in a hotel and ordering room service, this is not the place. Overall, this was a nice stay for the price we got.”

• Room was clean and neat, had everything we needed even if we stayed longer.
• I had trouble using the coded entrance key on the outside doors on morning we were leaving.

“This is an excellent hotel for anyone who needs a small suite for an extended stay. The kitchen facilities were great, however we were there only one night so we didn't use them. The bathroom was a nice size, and the bedroom area was adequate with a desk area for anyone who needs to hook up to a wireless computer connection.”

• The lobby was supposed to close at 11:00 and there was no front desk person after 9:00.

“I asked for extra pillows but since the front desk closed early I could not get anything. There was no shampoo.”

• The location was perfect. Just off of route. 63 and a mile from route 263.
• The shower curtain was covered with mold and mildew. Disgusting!

• There was nothing good about this hotel.
• Uncomfortable and unclean room.

“This is absolutely the last time I stay in one of these Extended Stay American properties. They are universally the worst hotels (if you call it that) in the country. My room smelled of mildew, had hair in the shower and had no blanket. Other than that it was perfect.”

• Convenience, location, kitchen.
• Poorly equipped kitchen, no desk for working, cable channels not on correct numbers.

“A mixed bag: attractive hotel in a convenient location. However, the hotel is not business friendly if you want to write or work on a computer as there is no desk. Sure the kitchen is a strong convenient feature but it is sparsely equipped to do any cooking. Also, the TV channels were misaligned. No parking spaces on the side so you have to lug your luggage extra distance to your vehicle.”

• Very friendly staff, cheap wife, free workout passes.
• One of the managers had an attitude problem.

“That's not to say that the staff isn't friendly; au contraire, the staff there was some of the friendliest that I¿ve encountered on my travels around the world. What I¿m referring to is that your room doesn't get cleaned everyday, only once for every week you stay there. And if you want clean linens or towels or room supplies you have to go to the front desk to get it. In that respect, this hotel is run more like a youth hostel. One more perk is that they give you free passes to work out at bally's a few miles down the street, which is a pretty nice 3-story gym. The only problem I had was with one of the managers but that was definitely an anomaly as far as this establishment is concerned. They also have on-premise pay washers & dryers. Condition of the room we stayed in was definitely on the newer side.”

“overall the hotel was convenient to major roads, excellent in that it had all the needs of being at home in your own kitchen .My wife was very impressed with the room, especially for the rate we got. we were celebrating our 50th anniversary. and used the room because our booked guests did not, could not, get out of Scranton area to do so .we won out by default, but good for us. ”

• Clean and safe.
• Staff was not very friendly. Candle wood Suites across the street is MUCH better.

“This is a clean, safe, and comfortable hotel with standard beds, small pillows, and minimal amenities (no shampoo or free internet). It does have a full kitchen with full size refrigerator in every room which can be important for a longer stay. Overall, a nice place for the money.”

• Dirty sheets and blankets, dirty floor.

“Fine for business travelers. The blankets and sheets were disgusting (but they did replace them after we let them know), and the carpet and floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. It was very quiet and the location was very convenient for us. My husband is in pest control and he thoroughly examined the room and found no bedbugs so that was a plus.”

• The kitchenette was very convenient. Also, we enjoyed the walking trail directly across the street from the hotel.
• Because this hotel permitted animals, sometimes it became noisy. However, this did not interfere with our stay.

“Comfortable hotel in a nice suburban location. Good room, but no pool, restaurant, or even vending machines, and no stores within walking distance. A bit problematic if you don't have a car. The rooms do have kitchenettes, so if staying here, be sure to bring your own drinks and snacks. Other than that, nice facility.”

• The hotel is convenient to the highway.
• The hotel charges for every service. There is nothing complimentary. The hotel desk clerk was abrupt and non inviting.

“The hotel clerk was approached because the faucet in the bathroom sink was not working. He said he had checked on that and indeed it was broken. He said he had ordered the part but the part would not be in until after the guest's stay was over. He did not offer her another room, did not offer a discount on the room, just told her to have her family use the kitchen sink. We received a notice that told us about the room cleaning fees. I had never heard of such a thing. They would swap towels for you but other than that, there was a charge for any other cleaning service. There were no amenities to this hotel. There is no pool, no exercise room, no business center, and no sitting area in the lobby. It is very uninviting and I would prefer not to stay there again.”

• The hotel was very efficient and immaculate; it doesn't maintain lobby hours, but given its mission, that makes sense and helps keep costs down.
• One has to have a car, the convenience stores, etc are a long walk if needed.

“It was ok for someone who is staying for a long period of time. Seven days or more. But for the shorter term stay it was a bit short on the amenities. Some sort of breakfast option would be great.”
