• The hotel was perfectly situated-easy to get all around Philly from there.
• The maid service did not respond to 3 calls for extra toilet paper.

“Overall, this was definitely a great stay. The room was impeccably clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. It was nice having a small kitchen area so that we could store things in the fridge for later. Also, the breakfast buffet included was great - many options that left you feeling full and it was a plus since we were traveling on a budget. The only downside of our stay was that we called for housekeeping to drop off extra toilet paper 3 times and they never came. We called the front desk and they immediately apologized and said it would be brought up to the manager. Lucky for us one of the cleaning staff was across the hall so we got it from her. Still it was a great stay.”

• Friendly staff, clean room, central to downtown.
• Parking was $40+ a day.

“Our stay was pleasant. The staff was helpful and the attentive. This hotel was very close to Reading Market and not to far of a walk from historical Philly. I was not happy with the parking rates. This was an added expense to our vacation.”

• The suite was perfect. Big, clean, spacey and warm feeling.
• Could use another restaurant in the lobby area.

“The staff was friendly. The hotel was VERY clean. We stayed on the 17th floor and the suite was overlooking the city streets with a GREAT window. The kitchen was laid out better then most suites I've rented and we were at home here more then we were at our own house.”

• Overall great hotel, great experience.

“Great room, nice size and has kitchen. Staff was so nice from start to finish. Great location, great breakfast. I was surprised to see a beautiful computer business center and fitness room free of additional charges, these are often more at upscale hotels. This hotel overall was excellent. I would recommend it.”

• The hotel atmosphere was nice and warm. People were very friendly and everything I needed was right there in the area.
• No smoking.

• Very good location.
• The valet parking operation stinks. Cars were stacked up in front of the hotel for hours at a time, including mine.

“Well located hotel, but very expensive. I knew that beforehand, but it appeared to me that the hotel had some long-term, indigent residents. My room had an odd layout--probably because the building was originally designed as office space. The complimentary breakfast was also odd--large on Mexican spices and offerings, while no bacon. Lastly, the hotel offered no rooms for smokers.”

“I truly enjoyed staying at this hotel. Although I knew from the beginning that there was no parking only valet, I still wished there was on-site pkg. Valet cost $42 a day. The hotel was clean, the staff was helpful and friendly, and our stay was relaxing. Everything was within walking distance. I would stay here again.”

• Great buffet breakfasts, friendly staff, within walking distance to historic sites.
• Unaware that the onsite garage was under reconstruction; valet required 30 mins notice to get car.

“Can't say enough nice things about the staff who were extremely accommodating from check-in to check-out; very helpful with directions and information about the city. Elevators ran a little slow, but stairs were available. The suite was more suitable for business travelers than a family of five, although dinnerware for 4 was available in the kitchen. It was perfect for our weekend birthday celebration and the location, cleanliness & friendly staff exceeded my expectations.”

• The front desk staff was very efficient! The room was emaculate and the location "perfect for our needs.
• The mandatory use of the room key for the elevator and only 2 elevators for the "ll" yet not marked!

“This hotel was right up there with Marriotts high standard for comfort, cleanliness, and warm staff! Always good to stay at any of their properties. Will stay there again, probably soon.”

• The security of having to use your room key to gain access to the elevator.
• There is nothing I can say negative about the hotel.

“The Resident Inn Marriott is by far the best hotel for business and leisure travelers. The room was perfect with the full service kitchen and more than enough room for two! I would recommend this hotel to everyone I know.”

• Very nice rooms with very comfortable beds and great accommodations. Breakfast was awesome.
• They only had valet parking which costs 36 dollars per day!

• Too small pool and breakfast dining space, no jacuzzi.

“This hotel is right in the middle of the city. You can walk to most attractions. If you drive, cost of parking is expensive. I parked in a municipal lot several blocks away and saved $20 a day.”

• This hotel was clean, conveniently located, and the bed was amazing.
• Nothing.

“This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Philadelphia. Each room is equipped with a kitchen, a fridge, and all the utensils needed to prepare a meal. The bed was absolutely lovely with a soft white down comforter. Each room also comes with a pull-out sofa bed. I will definitely stay here again.”

“A very once hotel with great views of the city (especially at night) and good facilities. The location is central to Philly and major bus lines are right outside the door. Plenty of shopping for food and essentials nearby and complimentary grocery shopping to stock the kitchen. I wish I had stayed here sooner on my trips to Philly.”

• Great location right downtown park the car and walk.
• I think the only thing bad about this hotel is that they charge 32 dollars for valet and then lie about alternative 24 hour parking.

“I would recommend this hotel to leisure travelers. Front desk staffs were very nice, hot breakfast buffet included and great location. Can park the car and walk to Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, clubs etc. and always felt safe.”

• It was close to everything, very clean, room was very spacious. My husband and I loved it!
• Nothing.

“I would give this hotel 5 stars ... we loved our stay though very short. We just had a baby and needed a nice get-a-way and our stay at Residence Inn in Philadelphia was just what we needed. We had the option of a nice stay inside or to hit the town. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, the staff was friendly and efficient. We'll be back for sure!”

“The hotel is in a great location right by the Convention Center and the Reading Terminal Market. It is not the most convenient hotel to reach by car since the traffic is quite heavy. The only hotel parking available is valet parking for $32.00 a day; however, there is a ramp fairly close by that charges $25.00. The staff was not the most helpful and rather unfriendly. Besides the leaky fridge and clogged toilet, the room was quite nice. It was a large room with a nice little kitchen. I called about getting my TV remote fixed and nobody ever came, but that goes back to the quality of the staff. Overall the quality and location of the hotel was good, just don't expect much from the staff.”

• Great location, Nice room setup.
• Forgot toothpaste, staff made me come to front desk instead of delivering to room. Tacky!!

“Would definitely go back. Got good rate on short notice, but expected a little more service for a downtown hotel. Have stayed at other "lesser" rated Residence Inn's before with better staff. Staff not bad, but I guess my expectations were just higher.”

• Terrific location, friendly efficient staff, lots of in-room amenities.
• Mattress was worn out and saggy and needed to be replaced. Lots of street noise.

“Can't be beat for the price. You can walk or subway to everything. The staff was very friendly, the room clean and comfortable. It was very handy to have a refrigerator and full size coffee maker available. The room was a bit noisy as it faced the street, and the mattress had seen better days, but overall, I'd recommend this hotel.”

• parking cost seemed slightly above normal

“Overall, it's a great bargain. It has the amenities of the Marriott, but at a lower price. All the employees I encountered were courteous and accommodating. The location was excellent, although some nearby neighborhoods were seedy.”

• Clean, friendly staff, free full breakfast bar and dinner. Large room, well priced, central location.

“I've stayed at 4-5 hotels in Philadelphia recently and even though this is rated as a 2.5 star hotel, this is better than the 3 star hotels I got from in Philly. The rooms were generously large with full kitchen and very comfortable bed and pull-out couch. The gym and pool was decent. Hotel was centrally located and safe. The best part was the full spread of hot breakfast buffet each morning. I will stay at this place again and again.”
