• The rooms were beautiful and the hotel was in a perfect location.
• Hard to find. Not much signage and difficult for someone not familiar with the city.

“Hard to find the hotel for someone not familiar with the city. I spoke with a few of those working the check-in desk and they were not very friendly. However, everyone else (doorman, concierge, spa attendant, etc.) were very attentive. Took the family (elementary level kids). The pool/spa was down in the basement and the pool was very small (probably holds 10 people, tops, comfortably). Very up-scale spa/pool. The hotel was in a perfect location for getting around the city.”

“A comfortable upscale hotel in an excellent location, but badly in need of refurbishing. Time to get away from old bedspreads on top of clean pillows. Bathrooms were modern and clean, except for a streak of someone else's blue shampoo on the shower curtain.”

• The front desk and porters were very helpful.
• The spa was a bit unorganized with the sauna switching on and off without the personnel being able to explain or fix it despite knowing about it.

• The location was what we needed and the hotel and staff were great.
• It was a bit on the older side. Needs some updating.

• The downstairs gym, pool and spa were 5 stars, just amazing.
• Room service seemed a little unorganized, but were ordering late night.

• Worn out furniture, exposed pool equipment, bathroom amenities, room layout and décor.

“This hotel comes real close to being four stars, but little details betray it as otherwise, such as worn-out furniture, pool equipment not properly stored, stains on the sheet, cleaning staff that don't say hello to guests. It's a super location and a very nice stay, but it isn't four stars and it was just a tad overpriced, even with the great location.”

• Helpful staff upgraded room after late-night maintenance noise.
• Was on the very Eastern edge of the city; food service wasn't great.

“I don't think this really qualifies as four stars, especially since it's not as nice as the Omni in Montreal. That said, the staff was great about resolving problems. Everything was very clean, and of course you got to love the free wireless internet.”

• Great location, walk to historic buildings.
• Rooms were a little worn, holes in bed spread.

“Excellent location, 2 block walk to Liberty Bell, good restaurants all well within walking distance. Pool under construction but they provided passes for the pool at the Sheraton just a few blocks away. Self parking is around the corned for $20 per day.”

• The service was fantastic.
• The bedding could use some updating.

“This hotel is well-situated, right off of I-95 in a very exciting area of the city. Street parking is difficult at night because a lot of the up scale establishments claim the street for valet. The rooms in the hotel are very nice and well-accommodated The hotel lobby and amenities are well-maintained and offer the luxury that one looks for in a 4 star hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful.”

“Nice location. Comfortable beds, pillows, towels, and linens. Slightly dated furnishings. Large rooms, great views. Staff was mediocre. Valet did not help us out to our car, just handed us our keys and then later walked over to collect his tip. Reception was dull. It appeared as if we had woken them up (11 pm).”

• It's convenient to the sights most Philadelphia tourists would be interested in seeing.
• The room was not as well-lighted as I might've liked.

“This hotel is in a great location, near most of the sights that tourists would be interested in seeing as well near the nightlife of Old City. Plus, the hotel has all the qualities that one would expect from a four-star hotel. Highly recommended.”

• Close to variety of entertainment and attractions.
• Hotel was empty, not a soul around, yet staff took over 20 minutes to get my vehicle from valet. They were not very accommodating.

“Overall appearance was excellent, rooms were tasteful and extremely clean, located in great area which was in walking distance to restaurants, entertainment and attractions. My only complaint was the staff was not very accommodating to customer needs and took an excessive amount of time to accomplish tasks.”

• Excellent location for historic Philadelphia.
• Could have been cleaner in public spaces like the pool.

• the lobby bar and lounge was a fine place to visit and have a drink
• Our air condition unit was way to loud. we piled clothes on it in order to sleep. it wasn't attached well

• location- Right in the middle of the historic district, close enough to walk to everything else.
• nothing bad at all.

“The Omni hotel at Independence Park is the perfect location for any group of travelers; couples, families, even business people. My daughter and I used it as a base to explore the city. We spent a little time at the new Constitution Center a block away then took the phlash bus uptown for only $1.00 a piece. Dinner was a little Afghan restaurant just a short walk from the hotel and the Ritz at the Bourse was literally around the corner for an evening at the movies. The next day we walked to the Reading Terminal Market and loaded with bags, took the Phlash bus back to the hotel. The valet got our car, and we were good to go. The location and valet service parking made this a very, very convenient trip. With the price we got, the Omni was everything we could have asked for.”

• Service was terrible, none to help with bags or valet car extremely poor restaurant

“This hotel performed like a 1 star location. There was no one to valet our car when we arrived; no one there to help with bags. The mini bar refrigerator was warm. There was no noise insulation from the room next door to ours. The restaurant was terrible. There was no one there to seat us. We had no napkins, no spoons, and dirty knives. Tea and coffee being delivered with no cups to pour into. No sugar for the coffee and worst of all our waitress was not around to help us take care of all these problems.”

• The room was very clean and all amenities were fantastic.
• There was not a lot of variety on the room service menu for kids.

“I would definitely rate the Omni with the highest mark for appearance and cleanliness. I especially enjoyed the layout of the rooms. The linen felt especially crisp and clean to touch.”

• I liked the location, it was perfect. The staff was very accommodating to their guests. Very friendly!
• I thought the bed (mattress) was rather old, not very comfortable. I do not like feather down pillows.

“Overall the hotel was great! Location excellent.Only negative.. I just was not happy with the bed (mattress) it was older and not a pillow top, for a four star hotel I would like a pillow top mattress. Also I am not a girl who likes to sleep on feather down pillows. They should give an option of both types.”

• LOCATION! Right beside Liberty Bell and Independence Hall.
• This hotel did not comply with my request for foam pillows due to allergies; had to call and correct.

“Fantastic location, friendly staff, elegant lobby, superb bed, great bathroom w/ shaving/makeup magnifying mirror. Just be sure to stress the importance of foam pillows if you are allergic to feathers as I am...they did not seem to take this request seriously until I went down to the front desk and complained.”

• The staff was exceedingly helpful and pleasant and our stay relaxed us wonderfully.
• There's so much helpful staff we ended up tipping a bit more than expected b/c there were so mnay ppl to tip.

“The Omni more than met our needs. It's location was fantastic for visiting Historic Philadelphia, and still close to South Street and Market Street shopping. The staff was incredibly helpful, everything from complimentary cookies and milk for our 2 yr old to dining recommendations, free toothbrushes for the ones we forgot to pack and getting us a flat rate in a cab to our final destination upon leaving. The room was spacious, clean and the bathroom fully stocked to fit our needs. We'll stay there again when we can.”
