• The bed was
  comfy.
• The bathroom needs to be upgraded.

“The staff were excellent, very accommodating. I let them know it was my anniversary with my husband and they gave us free breakfast which was very nice of them. The beds, OMG were so comfortable, I wanted to take it home.. The room was very nice.. The breakfast buffet was very good.. I wish the parking wasn't so expensive. $26!! All in all I would go back and recommend this to anyone!”

“ The hotel was attractive and clean, the staff was friendly. The room was large and comfortable and quiet. The only drawback was the parking cost which was 26.25 overnight. ”

• The mattress was extremely comfortable.
• People talking in next room could be heard clearly through connecting door.

“2.5star hotel in heart of center city. Great for business travelers, with friendly helpful staff. Parking is expensive and no discount is available for hotel guests. Room is adequately funished - the mattresses are new and extremely comfortable. Noise is a problem from room to room.”

• I really liked that the room was immaculate.
• I wish the hotel had offered a affordable breakfast option. The only option was a breakfast buffet for $14.00.

“This hotel offered a clean safe and pretty place to stay while staying in Philadelphia. The staff was very friendly and helpfully informative. Parking was onsite but there was a $25.00 charge that was not noted in any info I saw. Overall, it was a good experience.”

“The decor was nice. However the staff was not professional or helpful or accommodating. And we were in Chinatown, which made me feel a little uncomfortable at night, but it was a few blocks from great shopping, so that was good.”

• The block the hotel is on is not the greatest.

“We enjoyed the clean, spacious room. We were pleasantly surprised to find it had two televisions, and a couch. Made the room seem bigger. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Around the block from the Reading Terminal Market, where we tried different foods for reasonable prices.”

“Overall, a nice hotel. Clean, friendly front desk. Room was ok, a little cheap looking, but clean. Geared more for business than leisure, with a microwave and refrigerator in room. The location is ideal, across the street from the convention center, in the middle of china town and within 10 minutes walk of downtown. Overnight parking was an extra $26. We were not allowed to park the car and leave again without re-paying the parking fee, which was very inconvenient.”

• Good location to reading terminal market, china town, shopping area.
• No parking.

“Very good location for people without a car. Many kinds of food in Reading terminal market and China town. If you need anything grocery, there are also several Asia supermarket around that area. Walking distance to shopping area and city hall.”

• It was a nice hotel to stay at downtown Phila.
• There is no parking and they do not validate. We had to park 5 blocks.

“We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very pleasant and courteous. The location downtown was nice too. The only draw back was parking. I think parking should be included or at least discounted when you stay here.”

• This hotel has excellent staff that seek you out in an effort to assure that you are receiving the best care possible. They are knowledgeable and caring.
• Those Philly steaks are the worst anywhere.

“The room, staff and guest services are among the best in any hotel in which I have lived including the Mayflower. Its well located and accessible to most business and transportation, restaurants, arts and entertainment.”

• Recently renovated rooms with very nice furnishings.
• Lobby is tiny, common spaces not very attractive.

“Hotel is conveniently located to convention center, Reading Terminal Market, and many other destinations within center city. Rooms are recently renovated with flatscreen televisions and are comfortable and attractive. Free WiFi is a nice amenity for business travelers.”

• The location was good, and the flat screen TV was a nice feature.

“The location was excellent being with in a short walk to the business district, China town, Reading Terminal Market, and a reasonable walk to the historic areas. The receptionist at check-in was very friendly. The room has a flat screen TV which was a nice feature too. The room was clean and well kept. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.”

• Room was clean.
• Warning - Car Theft Often!

“First off, the hotel had an odd smell. Secondly, three of our groups cars were broken into and electronics were stolen from the adjacent parking lot which costs 26+ dollars a day to park in. Thirdly, there's homeless folks constantly pan handling and soliciting around all entrances and exits at all times of night and day. The hotel's accommodations are adequate if you can get past that smell that seems strongest near the elevators. The absolute negligence of the parking security, however, means you should take on whatever your insurance deductible + rate increases for getting your car broken into. We were told multiple thefts occur monthly, in a very nonchalant, what do you expect attitude. Stay here at your own risk.”

“Pulling into the hotel at 11pm with my young family I wondered what I had done. Downtown Philly was intimidating to a guy from the mountains. But once we checked in we felt very comfortable and safe. The staff was very helpful. I could not have been more pleased with this hotel! Great location to historic Philadelphia. Thank you Hilton Garden Inn.”

• The staff was exceptional--super friendly and helpful.
• The area, while fine in the day, was a little sketchier at night.

“What is inside is definitely worth a stay. I cannot say enough for the quality of the staff. From the gentleman at the checkout desk who made this extremely weary traveler laugh out loud, to the friendly conversations and smiles of employees throughout the hotel, the people who work at the Hilton made our experience exceptional. The rooms themselves are nicely renovated, with luxurious bedding and flat-screen televisions. The gym and pool were small but well executed and free internet access in the business room were greatly appreciated. Well worth the price!”

• Awesomely friendly service from everyone from the desk clerk to the janitor! Wonderful! Keep it up!
• Tricky to find; parking not included in hotel rate.

“The hotel is centrally located - a little tricky to find but well located in the city with good access to a variety of activities. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, every single staff member we encountered smiled, asked if they could assist us, and did assist us (opening doors, calling the elevator, etc.) I have stayed in many hotels but I have never encountered that degree of courtesy before. The staff should be commended their efforts are noticed and make a difference. Only disappointment was the fact that parking was not included and so the price of the hotel did not truly reflect the cost of the accommodations as compared to other hotels. But the hotel was very nice, clean, and comfortable.”

• Staff was very friendly and the room was modern and clean.
• There was no hotel parking and the restaurant was expensive.

“The staff was very friendly from the start. She supplied us with maps and circled some good places to visit. The room was modern, clean, and comfortable. I was disappointed that we were not notified that there would be a craft vendors fair directly outside our room during our stay. The garage parking was not included and expensive, as was the hotel restaurant. Overall, the location and service were very good. I would stay there again.”

• The staff are beyond helpful and are dedicated to making your stay great.
• The parking charges.

“I travel frequently. I have never met a staff more caring of my comfort and absolutely dedicated to making sure that we were treated well and were happy with our room and the hotel in general. I found one thing wrong in our room and casually mentioned it to the housekeeper, but it wasn't a big deal and I wasn't upset.”

• The hotel staff was very accommodating.
• Though we had no negative experiences, the hotel is very close to seedy parts of Philadelphia.

“This hotel has two main positives: 1. It is very close to tourist destinations (e.g., Liberty Bell, National Constitution Center, Independence Hall, Reading Terminal Market) and the Convention Center and 2. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly -- from the front desk staff to the bell desk. We were given complimentary breakfast which was nice and our room was upgraded. This was my first time in Philadelphia and I would recommend this hotel; however, Philly is a dirty city and there were some seedy-looking characters in the surrounding blocks. I don't think this is unique to the location of the hotel though.”

• Location, family friendly.
• Most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in.

“It is excellent in all respects for the money, with the exception of the beds. The last 3 times I stayed there the beds are so plush that you sink into the center. It is very difficult to sleep. You are supposed to be able to adjust the beds in terms of firmness, but the last three times I have been there this liver on the bed has been broken so it cannot be adjusted.”
