• Hotel was clean. It was located not far from the main tourist attractions. It has few good restaurants across it.
• Staff was not friendly at all.

• There is absolutely nothing I did not like about the hotel.

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. My sister and I felt at home and quite comfortable. The room was absolutely beautiful and the beds quite comfortable. I would definitely recommend the Marriott to anyone visiting Philadelphia - overnight or for a lengthy stay.”

• Parking is very expensive and valet only.

• The bed was insanely comfortable and the room had a spacious bathroom.
• I was not pleased you had to pay for WiFi, and there wasn't a fridge or microwave.

“I had a wonderful stay at the Marriott. Spacious, comfortable rooms with quality linens. The pool was very nice, as was the larger hot tub. My only complaint (as with most upscale hotels) was that you could not access the internet for free and there wasn't a fridge or microwave in the room. Other than that I was very pleased!”

• Housekeeping knocking on the door at 8 AM every morning.

“Its was great. Close to everything we wanted to see. close to bus and subway lines. we always felt safe outside at night. The mall underneath the convention center was perfect for a quick lunch.”

• The staff was very helpful, available, and friendly which is a huge help when you're not familiar with the area or city.
• The size of the rooms don't exactly match the price in many respects.

“This hotel was in the perfect place for those wanting to be right in the center of it all when visiting Philadelphia. The staff has an A+ attitude when it comes to helping the guest on a 24 hours basis. I had a great experience.”

“We thought this hotel was great. We had 2 adults and our 15 year old son with us and the room was adequate in size for the three of us. We wish that hotels would put in queen size beds as opposed to double beds! The location of the hotel and amenities were all we needed. Very happy with the hotel.”

• It was very elegant and sky bridge was beautiful.

“This hotel is very elegant and offers more amenities than anyone could possibly use. You certainly get one stop shopping when you stay here. It has beautiful decor and is nestled in the heart of Philadelphia surrounded by shopping, dining and beautiful scenery. Truly a one of a kind hotel.”

• Confusion as to where to drop off luggage when we arrived, front entrance was around behind hotel without directions.

• At first they put me in a low floor room in the front and I could hear the traffic.

“The hotel is in a great location close to all attractions. Just make sure you get a room high up or away from the front (due to traffic noise). I was given an upgrade when I asked. Great room, if you go for pleasure make sure you get a citipass or Philly pass. You can also ride the Phlash trolley bus all day for five dollars. It will take you to all the attractions. See the Liberty Bell after 5 PM since there are no lines. Also, see other famous attractions early or after 3 PM due to summer camp groups. Lastly, be careful at night, many homeless and characters about.”

“The location is excellent for great dining and shopping and is an easy walk or ride to the museum area. The staff is the best. I stay here about 2 times per year and they are so helpful and friendly. While the hotel is upscale they all smile and interact with my young kids.”

• Pleasant pool/Jacuzzi room with lots of sunlight. Blue crab cakes!
• Bath tub had hair in it, faucet dripped. However, compensated with gourmet lunch, & maintenance fixed leak quickly on reporting.

“Room, restaurant, pool, and business center very nice. Free, unlimited computer/internet with printing. Close to airport in hotel area, felt very safe. No dark corridors, rooms all open onto huge central atrium. Suite style hotel, decor very businesslike. Restaurant items varied in quality, some superb (try blue crab cakes, avoid rice pudding). Carpet shabby in elevators. Bath tub hadn't been cleaned, but compensated with unlimited free lunch. Management helpful. Kids would enjoy pool.”

• Pool was not great. No free WiFi - not even in lobby.

“Pros: I loved the location of this hotel. Right near Reading Terminal Market. Nice walk to Independence Hall. Lots of places to eat. Hard Rock across the street. The room was clean and nice. Cons: Pool was more like a lap pool, but it was clean and warm. While I don't expect free internet in the rooms, I do expect a free connection in the lobby. There is free access at Reading Market across the street.”

• Location is great, right in Center City across from Reading Terminal close to subway.
• Flat beer, cold soup in restaurant.

“Parking is $36 day which is comparable for area but there is a $7 city parking tax they don't tell you about. Room was comfortable and clean. Went to eat at the 13 restaurant in the hotel lobby. The guy who seated us looked at me and gave a wide yawn after I asked for a table for two - kind of weird, maybe he's a student. Got flat draught beer but the staff exchanged after I complained. French onion soup was not warmed all the way through in the microwave - chilly in parts, hot in others. The location trumps all at this hotel. If you want to be in Center City - this is a great location both for walking and public transportation. Historic stuff is two Subway stops or a 20 minute walk away. City Hall is a block away.”
