• Comfortable bed.
• Awful smell outside entrance.

“The location of the hotel is rather seedy at night and there is a rowdy crowd in the bar spilling over into the elevator hallway next to the lobby. I did not feel entirely safe since people could enter the elevators easily from the street. There is chaos at the front desk and parking at check out time. There is an awful smell just outside one of the doors from stagnant pool of water accumulated in the street.”

• The chocolate chip cookies.
• Almost everything else.

“It was horrible. On Friday, they never came to clean our room, despite four phone calls to housekeeping and one visit to the front desk. On Saturday night, they skipped our room service order and had to come back to our room four times before finally getting it right.”

“I had a great time at the Loews hotel. We had an event to go to that started early and would have caused us to not be able to check after 3pm. We we got there early, they already had a room ready for us. We were able to go see our room and settle in before we went to our event and it was a great room to come back to at the end of the night. I can't wait to come back again!”

• Convenient location in the heart of Downtown Philly.
• Although we were able to get a great hotel rate, parking was an unanticipated $38/per day.

“Loews Philadelphia is located in the heart of downtown Philly and convenient to most major attractions. The accommodations were fine, but the room felt small and offered no views. The staff was very friendly.”

  amazing staff.
• Cleanliness and seemed a little outdated.

“Generally it is a very good hotel clean, but I am not sure if I'd stay there again. It didn't seem all that clean. Rooms could have been vacuumed more and bathroom could had to be scrubbed because there was definitely some build up on the tile and some mold growing in corners. What mad this stay a very good experience was the staff. They were polite and very friendly. Parking was kind of
expensive I think but what can you do.”

“Hotel and rooms are contemporary decor and updated, big screen TV's, staff is exceptional, taxis are easily accessible. No need to valet - just find parking on street a short walk distance. Can't beat location which is a 5 min walk to State Capitol. Really loved this hotel!”

“Despite the steep fee for parking, this hotel is a luxury in the heart of Philadelphia. The staffs are very personable/friendly. The room is spacious and beds are lovely/spacious. The view of the city was spectacular.”

• Wonderful design and updated furnishings, friendly and helpful staff, great views
• parking was a bit expensive

“This hotel met all my expectations. The decor was beautiful 50's style retro in the lobby area. The room was extremely clean with a comfy bed and soft linens. The products (shampoo, soap, etc.) were fantastic and smelled great. Our room was comfortable, romantic, had a great view of the city, quiet, and peaceful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!”

“The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable but the shower tile needed some updating. All in all it was a great stay and well worth the price paid on Priceline.com.”

• The View at this Hotel was great, the hotel staff was very nice, and helpful.
• Parking Fee was too expensive.

“Nice hotel, and great staff. The view from the room is very nice of the city. The restaurant food was actually really good. The front desk people were very attentive to my request, and they had problems with late check out. We walked around the city, and the hotel let us store our bags five hours after check out.”

• Location was excellent. The room was lovely and the staff terrific.

“Check-in was a breeze and the staff was extremely helpful. The VIP concierge threw in breakfast for us and when we returned to our room after dinner, there was a bouquet of roses. You can't beat the location-near tons of stuff-historical to fun-the Reading Terminal was awesome-what food choices.”

• Bathroom was not cramped.
• Dust on top of ice bucket and melted ice left in ice bucket.

“Generally, we thought the hotel satisfactory. But placement of dresser impeded manipulation of drapes. Placement of dresser also hid several clean wine glasses that had slipped from the dresser to behind it between dresser and wall. Some were broken. The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The gym and swimming pool were great. Overnight parking was very expensive.”

• The staff was very child friendly and made the kids feel special. They gave the kids card to down load 2 songs each from I-Tunes.
• Small 2 lane lap pool instead of a full size pool. No Jacuzzi.

“We had a large corner room with views. And breakfast was included on the concierge floor. They were also very helpful with tour ideas and sites to be seen.”

• Modern yet tasteful decorating, the spa, the beds!
• Stand up shower only, I wanted to take a nice bath in a big tub.

“Friendly staff, beautiful spa, free for guests to use the sauna steam room and pool. Wonderful views of the city make being in the room and nice experience to itself!”

• The decor and lighting was quite modern & cold looking. The room was dim with all lights on.

“This hotel would probably be ok for a business traveler. The atmosphere was cold. There was frequent noise from the hall. Other doors closed loudly. The check-out clerk was efficient but not friendly. The hotel did not seem luxurious, probably because of the style. I would not want to stay in this hotel again.”

• Loews loves kids!
• No cafe/quick serve restaurant on premises.

“Excellent hotel. Room was spacious even with two beds and crib. Staff was very accomodating to young children. Nice extras like DVD players, movies, toys for the kids. Public areas (lobby, pool, etc) well-maintained and nice. Very nice spa facility on premises. Would definitely stay again with my family or on own.”

“The Loew's is now my hotel in Philadelphia. I stayed before at the Marriott or a boutique hotel and both seemed impersonal and Philadelphia seemed dangerous. No more.”

The hotel is immaculately clean, the upper floors have magnificent views, the furnishings are substantial, and the value is superior.”

• Very expensive parking, no king beds, and clearly not 4 star.

“This is a reasonable 3 star hotel. Parking is very expensive ($38 overnight). Room was clean, but small. Bathroom was reasonably large, but not all that clean - hairs from previous occupant were on the bathroom floor.”

• The Loews Philadelphia was convenient, clean and friendly. I was very impressed with the help we got from the concierge. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
• Maybe the rugs on the main lobby should be changed.

“Art deco era hotel in the PSFS building with great views. Room had wonderfully comfortable bedding, large flat screen HDTV. Phone handset needed replacement and shower curtain and tub surround needed some cleaning. The location is great.”

• It was one of the most beautiful rooms I've stayed in.
• That I had to pay for WiFi, and valet was pretty expensive.

“I thought that this hotel was beautiful and luxurious, and it was in a great location in center city Philadelphia. The staff was overall friendly and helpful, and although it was very upscale, it was still pretty family friendly.”

• Central Philadelphia location, easy walk to kummel and restaurants, safe.
• TV. was fuzzy, no free breakfast offering.

• Very comfortable bed and fine linens.
• The room was incredibly small for a four star hotel and very loud (inside noises).

“As excited as I was to visit the Loews Hotel, I have to admit that I left disappointed. The visit was a surprise birthday gift for my partner and it certainly didn't WOW either one of us like I had expected. I was let down by the loud inside noises and the small footage of the room.”

• The location is perfect. The beds are really comfortable.
• Two lights in the room did not work and it took far too long to get housekeeping items delivered.

“The hotel is in an excellent location. Staff is competent and helpful, but I would not describe them as friendly. Housekeeping was a disaster. Two lights in the room did not work. The remote control did not work, it seemed to need batteries. They didn't leave enough bath supplies, so we called and asked for more and let them know we needed to shower and make it to an appointment. It took three calls and 45 minutes to get our items, which were then partially not what we'd asked for. On the plus side, the hotel allows pets, which, while we did not bring any this time, is a huge asset. The beds were very comfortable and the room had a warm feeling (perhaps due to limited lighting). I would call this an upscale 3 star hotel, because it did not feel deluxe like other 4 stars we've stayed at. In all honesty I would prefer to stay somewhere else next time, but the pet policy just might get us back.”

• The hotel was in the heart of shopping and restaurants.
• We wanted a late night snack in the hotel, the music was so loud at sole food, we went across the street to hard rock where it's ok to have loud music.
