“I thought it was nice overall, I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 17 years and I am currently a group trainer for the Intercontinental Brand. It met my expectations for the price paid.” Nov 19, 2009 by
Phil from Austin,TX
“There was a certain intimacy about this hotel, yet plenty of luxury. I think I probably stayed at one of the best hotels in town because it was not too large, not too modern, yet an extremely nice and comfortably place to stay.” Sep 21, 2009 by
Misty from Baltimore,MD
“Room was lovely, well-appointed. Location nice. The hallways on the guest floors smelled. I had to hold my breath between the elevators and my room. I was only staying one night, so I put up with it. If I had been staying longer, I would have insisted on finding a new hotel.” Sep 12, 2009 by
Kelly from Lima,OH
“This hotel met all of my expectations, from the friendly welcoming staff to the gorgeous lobby and rooms. This is my most favorite hotel of the three we stayed at while on our one week vacation and I will recommend it highly to friends and family.” Aug 29, 2009 by
Felicia from Center Valley,PA
“The hotel was beautiful and was very secure which was nice. Awesome benefits, very comfortable bed and bathroom was very clean.” Aug 13, 2009 by
Lynn from Mt. Bethel,PA
“The hotel was beautiful. The room was large with flat screen TV and refrigerator. It had a separate living area and king size bed. It was located right in the middle of downtown Philadelphia, convenient to all sites and public transportation. My only complaint was that parking cost almost as much as what we paid for the room.” Aug 13, 2009 by
Chris from Murray,KY
“Impressively friendly staff - very helpful from the moment we pulled up in our rental car. Public areas are very beautiful, rooms lovely with very high ceilings, comfortable beds. Free coffee in the morning is hidden in the restaurant, but don't be shy, they expect you to go in and help yourself to the coffee. Pool was great for young children - 3 ft deep for entire length. Very satisfied with this hotel!” Jul 13, 2009 by
Elise from Hansville,WA
“Excellent location and absolutely gorgeous historic building! Hotel staff was friendly. Would definitely return.” Jun 14, 2009 by
John from Sellersburg,IN
“Desk staff was very efficient and helpful. When a false fire alarm sounded in the high rise building, there were helpful staff in the lobby to answer questions. Based on a limited sample, hotel restaurant wait staff was engaging and conversational. This may be good or bad depending upon your preference.” Jun 10, 2009 by
Brian from Syracuse,NY “Great everyone was very helpful and professional and friendly hotel exceeded my expectations I was treated very well, as if I were paying full price location great hotel great thanks.” Jun 4, 2009 by
Melinda from Pell City,AL
“The hotel room we got off of Priceline was great. We did not expect such a great room! It was a full suite and we only paid $51.00 for the room.” May 21, 2009 by
Ashley from Philadelphia,PA
“I would recommend this hotel to others, gorgeous rooms, extreme comfort, and beautiful view of the city. Our room looked right out at the William Penn Statue, my two year old son absolutely loved the view and the size of the room was perfect. There is so so much to see and do in that area of the city and it's a great way to truly appreciate Philadelphia and what it has to offer!” May 20, 2009 by
Jay from Chanhassen,MN
“I really liked the architecture of this former public building, City Hall Annex. It has been refurbished beautifully. The location is excellent - right in Center City - within walking distance or short subway or cab rides to all major attractions.” Apr 29, 2009 by
Ivan & Janie from Mount Rainier,MD
“Nice overall, parking but so is the case of most hotels in major historical cities. Use valet, costs cheaper than self parking even for one full day.” Apr 28, 2009 by
from Snoqualmie,WA
“Good hotel, great location next to convention center.” Apr 23, 2009 by
Robby from South Windsor,CT
“Great location, great staff, and no concerns.” Mar 23, 2009 by
Sara from Williamsburg,VA
“This hotel was very nice; it is an historic building and was very tastefully decorated on the inside and outside. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very comfortable.” Feb 22, 2009 by
Victoria from Hamburg,NJ
“Location was great - close to everything/walking distance. Staff was friendly. Valet parking needs improvement in terms of time waiting for your car during check out.” Feb 20, 2009 by
Dee from Kennesaw,GA
“Bed was much more comfortable than a VA Courtyard I stayed in recently, linens were great, loved the individual climate control system they have and staff was very friendly.” Feb 19, 2009 by
Donna from Raleigh,NC
“Very comfortable, good location to convention center and business center could have been free and had more than one computer.” Feb 19, 2009 by
Molly from Troy,NY
“Overall a very nice hotel. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean. The location is key. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. The restaurant in the hotel is overpriced for what they offer, but I find this to be typical of most hotels these days. If you stay here, go eat at the terminal market. It's just two blocks away. The parking was a pain. There's not a lot of room in the front and when we were leaving we were actually blocked in by other hotel guests for about 10 minutes. I also thought the parking the hotel offered was a little pricey as well. $70 bucks for two nights. But again, I think you will struggle to find parking that won't cost you an arm and a leg in any downtown area of a large city. Was very pleased with the stay overall and would definitely stay here again if I visited Philly again.” Nov 24, 2008 by
Emily from Boston,MA
“A beautiful hotel with gorgeous lobby and nice intimate feel. But the rooms are a little worn and there is no room service for breakfast. Otherwise, great staff and nice service.” Nov 3, 2008 by

“Hotel was great, workers were excellent and we had a great stay overall.” Oct 28, 2008 by
Alan
“This was a very nice hotel. Rooms, staff, pool & workout rooms were great! The location was also superb! The cost was a little more than we originally wanted to pay for our stay in Philly but in retrospect, we'd do it again in a heartbeat! We really liked the nice soft beds but if you need a firm mattress, this may be something you need to ask about they may have firmer options. We wanted a refrigerator and microwave and they had the hotel staff deliver them and set them up in our room for us.” Oct 23, 2008 by
Jodie
“The Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown Philadelphia is in a great location. Through the front doors you can walk across the street to city hall. Out the back doors you are steps away from the Reading Terminal Market. There are several SEPTA stops nearby and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly.” Oct 16, 2008 by
Jim
“We were greeted and immediately attended to upon arrival. The hotel was very nicely decorated and our room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The work out area and pool were an unexpected bonus. We really enjoyed our stay and will make every effort to return.” Sep 12, 2008 by
Carlos from Clearwater, FL
“Location was great. Easy to walk to the attractions in the area. Parking was expensive. Would stay there again.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Chelsea from Washington, DC
“A nice hotel in an excellent location. Room was on the small side but very comfortable and very quiet. This hotel is in the middle of everything you'd want to visit in Philadelphia. Very secure. Keycard access required for door entry at night and for elevator access (and room access) at all times. The valet parking was expensive. The plus of valet parking is that you can go in and out as often as you wish, whereas in city lots this is not allowed, so you might end up paying more for city parking than the valet if you need to use your car during your stay. Budget for parking when staying in downtown Philly. The city is very walk able with ample public transportation.” Sep 9, 2008 by
John from Lic, NY
“Great experience. I have never had a better time in Philly. I hope to stay there again!” Sep 6, 2008 by
Taurin from Bala Cynwyd, PA
“Beautifully decorated 2.5 stars hotel with many 4 star touches, such as double sheeted duvet. Incredible value, very central location. Comfortable beds, incredible view. Awesome lobby. Great architectural details. Huge room and bath. Should put trash can in toilet/shower room in addition to sink area. Our windows were fixed shut at the 15th floor, possibly a fire hazard.” Sep 1, 2008 by
Jim from Easton, MD
“Comfortable room & bed close to center of city and Convention Center and DIY parking.” Aug 27, 2008 by
Leon from Alexandria, KY
“NA.” Aug 18, 2008 by
John from Springfield, VA
“Nice hotel for the price. Kind of in a very busy area. Parking is way too pricy.” Aug 12, 2008 by
George T. from Warren, MI
“Excellent location, friendly staff. Very happy with our stay. Only wish there was a mini fridge.” Aug 10, 2008 by
Kate from Brooklyn, NY
“The valet service was fast and efficient. Upon realizing that one of the beds was not clean, our valet parking was comped. The uncleanliness was not a typical thing found it this hotel. I have stayed there before to always be very pleased with the service.” Aug 8, 2008 by
Gregg from Laurel, MD
“Very comfortable rooms and very spacious.” Aug 7, 2008 by
David from Gettysburg, PA
“Other than the fact that the windows don't open and you had to use a key every single time you went into the elevator, which I found INCREDIBLY annoying, it was a fine stay.” Aug 6, 2008 by
Nancy from Austin, TX
“This hotel is great if you are only staying one or two nights in Philadelphia. It's location provides easy access to public transportation, site seeing, and restaurants. The rooms are small, and the limited elevator access was very inconvenient. For travelers needing internet access, the business center provides it for a ridiculously high cost with a minimum of $5. At the price for this hotel I expect free internet access in the business center.” Aug 5, 2008 by
Regoma from Egg Harbor Township, NJ
“We were traveling due to medical treatment and with small children (the patient was a 5 year old) it was fantastic to have this centrally located, excellent hotel and on short notice. We would have had more than an hour's drive early in the morning with a child who does not do well without food/water and does not do well in cars. This stay made the whole surgery much easier.” Aug 4, 2008 by
Janet from San Diego, CA
“It's right next to the old Masonic temple, very close to the higher price Marriott, which was good for catching a free shuttle back to the airport. Nothing to complain about at this Marriott Courtyard. Nice, safe & very reasonable in a good location.” Aug 1, 2008 by
Joe from Murrysville, OR
“Very nice place to stay. Excellent staff. Clean.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Keith from West Islip, NY
“This hotel is conveniently located, clean and comfortable, but the parking situation is extraordinarily expensive.” Jul 30, 2008 by
James A. from Greensboro, NC
“I believe you guys got it all knocked out.” Jul 28, 2008 by
Alfred from Allentown, PA
“Top grade quality comfortable, centrally located ( for my purposes) to business center. Only problem coming in was easy accessibility due to proximity with another Marriott right next to it. I would definitely go there again.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Peter from River Forest, IL
“Very convenient to Subway and Train to Airport.” Jul 9, 2008 by
B. from Forest Hills, NY
“Generally clean rooms, not the best decor but excellent location. Hallway had a strange curry smell mixed with perfume. If you want free internet remember to bring an Ethernet cable.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Carmela from Plainsboro, NJ
“I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location. Near all the major attractions. Easy access to the buses. The room was clean and very well put together. I had a pleasant stay at the hotel.” Jul 2, 2008 by
Chris from Portland, OR
“Wonderful location, beautiful hotel, clean. When checking in, the desk person gave me a snide remark about getting only 1 room for my family of 4. Turns out she probably was right - the room was barely large enough to hold the 2 Queen beds. It was very cramped with the 4 of us.” Jun 30, 2008 by
Sandy from Geddes, SD
“Excellent to superior!” Jun 6, 2008 by
Mike from Northumberland, PA
“The Marriott Courtyard Downtown Philadelphia is convenient to all of Philadelphia's downtown attractions including the zoo, Franklin Institute, museums, and sports complex. The Subway is located less than one block away. The rooms are small, but comfortable and offer beautiful views of the city skyline. Valet parking is first rate and necessary. Hotel staff was very friendly, especially given Philadelphia's reputation. Breakfast buffet was excellent, if a little expensive ($50 for 4 people). The quality and variety of food was worth the expense. Hotel pool is a little small, but very clean with nice view of the city. The pool is located right next to an excellent workout facility. I would rate this hotel as 8.5 out of 10.”
