“It's an exceptional hotel for its price, location, and as a hotel in general. The bathroom countertop was kind of small, and decor was a bit listless. I'd definitely stay there again. The $40 valet is outrageous!”

• Except for one caveat, nicer than expected for a 2.5 star.
• The energizer bunny of a high-pitched squeal.

“The courtyard Philadelphia is a lovely 100-year-old building with a surprisingly modern feel inside. There was a high-pitched nuisance of a noise from the outer wall that urged me to keep the TV on as much as possible while in the room. Turning the A/C (and fan) off had no effect on the noise. Mercifully, it subsided by bedtime. If it wasn't for the noise, I would've rated this hotel a solid 3 star.”

• The location is great- near Reading Terminal Market and Chinatown.
• The overpriced parking was a turn off and the small loading area outside the hotel.

“We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott and would check it out again when in Philly. The kids loved the pool- temperature and the fact that they could stand up anywhere. For me, the pool was a little small and crowded but we had fun anyway. The hotel is clean, and the rooms are comfortable. We enjoyed the location- close to good food and close to the attractions that we wanted to enjoy.”

• The pool area was a big disappointment. Murky pool and hot tub under construction.

• Friendly staff, great room, beautiful hotel
• The valet employee gave us dishonest information. There was no street parking, valet was the only option and it was very expensive.

“Overall, the hotel was wonderful. We received an excellent price for an upscale hotel. The only problem was that there is no street parking downtown so valet is the only option. Valet parking was very expensive at $35 a day.”

• It is centrally located in Philadelphia.
• Parking is difficult unless you pay $32 for valet service.

“The hotel is located directly across from the Philadelphia courthouse and within 8-10 blocks of most major attractions within the city. The staff was friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated.”

• New, clean, luxury, exceeded expectations. And very happy with my experience. It added greatly to my trip.
• I have nothing to say be good. There was no bad experience of any kind. And always exceed my every expectation.

• Very convenient location with spacious rooms with great quality for the price.
• The concierge could have been a bit more courteous.

“The courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia is located in a convenient area of the city adjacent to city hall. The hotel is a beautiful architectural gem among the others that are in the area. With access to museums, the reading market, city hall, fine restaurants and market street within walking distance, the hotel is the perfect spot for the leisure or business traveler. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel for anyone wanting a perfect location to stay in Philadelphia!”

“Located across the street from city hall, a very nice hotel with excellent rooms/furnishings. It would have been nice if they had had more than one computer in the business center for those who don't travel with their laptops, or don't even have one. Large TV in the room had complimentary hob and other cable stations. Note: you need your room key to operate the elevator.”

“The hotel was perfectly located for seeing all the sights. Parking in the city is difficult, but the hotel offered valet parking which was great. My room had not been cleaned well. There were items left in the fridge and the toilet had been left used. The service was friendly and the room was spacious.”

“Arrived at 9:00 am was allowed to valet park and store bags until check-in which was a great start to the weekend. Breakfast buffet was offered before we started our day. Rooms were as clean and comfy as were the ones at Pittsburgh last year. My experience last year made my decision to try a courtyard at another city; I will always try to book a courtyard by Marriott first.”
