• The room was spacious and very comfortable.
• Parking fees were an added nuisance.

• Moisturizer and foaming face wash - thank you!
• Pay for internet in room but free in lobby.

“Pet peeve - hotels that leave the eco-conscious notes about only washing towels that you leave on the floor but then remove the ones you hang up to dry on the door and replace with new ones. Added plus at this hotel - having shut off all lights to conserve energy on my way out, came back to clean room with four, count them, four separate lights burning. Internet service is only free in the lobby, not rooms. Doors slam shut with no ability to keep them from making loud noise. Awesome alternative to security chains, however. Overall a very serviceable hotel with convenient location to theater and arts district, transportation, and business.”

• Lovely immaculate room, great view, courteous staff and
  convenient parking.

“We were very pleased with our room on the 21st floor overlooking Broad St.Great view at night and early morning. The room was immaculate with lovely soft bedding and lots of pillows. The staff was friendly, helpful and courteous, and the parking garage was connected to the property, a real plus for inner city visiting.”

• Safe, pleasant, great location, excellent staff and very nice room.
• The lobby is a little too close to the open area bistro/bar.

“I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the Doubletree Hotel. The location was excellent, but more importantly in the hotel itself I felt very secure, safe and comfortable in the halls, lobby and in my room with the very nice view overlooking Broad Street. I spent a week at The Doubletree and was pleased with the staff each and everyday. I loved being able to attend a play just next door and a concert just across the street. I look forward to staying here again.”

• Fresh cookies upon check in.

“This hotel was really nice, parking was reasonable. Fresh cookies upon check in were really good. However, the main street was really noisy. We needed to keep the air conditioner running all night long so that we didn't hear it and we were on the 17th floor. Good thing it was a warm October weekend.”

• We left something behind and they are mailing it back.
• The business center required a credit card to print from a laptop.

“All would enjoy this hotel. The check in was quick and included a warm yummy cookie, the cafe served great home style food and bent over to pack up dessert to bring back to our room. The security went back to find a cord we had left in the room and is shipping it back to us. Great place to stay!”

• I guess the only thing would be the view from my 7th floor windows. Not really there fault, though.

• Very warm welcoming. We received warm cookies and my child was given a kids packet.
• There was only one family restaurant and the hours were not very welcoming. Not in a family oriented location.

“I greatly enjoyed staying in this hotel. They were very welcoming upon arrival. They treated us with warm cookies and gave my child a bag with games. I was disappointed in the hotel restaurant. We were there for 4 days and never got the opportunity to eat there. One day it was closed. Then the hours that they were opened we were not available. We had to end up ordering the room service. The location that the hotel is in was very nice, but not very family oriented. If you like theater then you will be in heaven. I had trouble finding some place to eat that was not semi-formal. We had to walk for blocks.”

• Had to have smoking rooms.

“We tried to call and confirm non-smoking rooms at 4:30 pm, but we were put on hold twice for over 10 minutes. When we got there at 7:30 pm, we had to get smoking rooms. We have people in our family with allergies in addition to the fact the smoking from the other rooms was so intense I couldn't sleep well. Hotel was great if we could have had non-smoking rooms.”

• Comfy bed with lots of pillows. Restaurant food was tasty.
• My room could have been cleaner. Carpet was dirty and furniture a bit dusty.

“Front desk employee could have been more friendly. Was told there was only one available room on the smoking floor. I told her I didn't want smoking floor and was happy enough to wait. In the end she managed to find a room that was on a non-smoking floor and ready for occupancy.”

• Easy walking distance to all the sights.
• Dirty under the beds food from previous guest under the beds.

“The floors were not clean at this hotel. We did not feel like a lot of attention to details was given to this hotel for this star rating. It seemed more like a one star or two star hotel due to the cleanliness of the room. We were disappointed.”

• It costs $1 a page to print at the business center. No room WiFi.

“This is a very nice, clean hotel with a fantastic location in center city Philly. As a place to stay, there is nothing to complain about. They have a great breakfast buffet and nice casual restaurant as well. There are only a few negatives to this hotel. 1) There is no free internet access in the rooms. You have to pay $9.95/day for wired high-speed access. There is free WiFi in the lobby, but it stinks having to head down there with your laptop to check email. In this day and age, there should be free WiFi throughout the hotel. 2) Printing in the business center is ridiculous. It costs $1 per page for black and white printing. I don't see how Doubletree can charge that much when their sister property - Hilton Garden Inn - has free printing. Hilton Garden Inn also has free in-room WiFi. 3) While I did not smell any smoke in my non-smoking room/floor, they still do allow smoking on certain floors. There is no excuse for that in this day and age. Should be a completely non-smoking hotel like most places. However, when all is said and done, would I stay there again?”

“We were given a smoking room and I did not want a smoking room. We asked to change and the only room they had available was a room by the elevators. It was very small and we had to rent a cot, to fit all the travelers in the room.”

• The room was so noisy that we could not sleep well.

“The hotel is old, and the elevator is old. And my room is right next to the elevator. You have the picture. Every time the elevator was in use, there was the screeching noise. For a big hotel (26 story tall), the elevator is always in use. Obviously, no one else would want a noisy room; I was stuck with it for two nights.”

• The restaurant was excellent especially their eggs benedict, great hollandaise sauce.
• Mistakenly placed me in room that may have been a smoking room.
