“Minutes from Philly, clean friendly staff. Pleas to come if you are just looking to lay your head in between activities.” May 27, 2008 by
Monica from Folcroft, PA
“It was a nice stay - very comfortable at a reasonable price. They were accommodating to our needs and very friendly.” May 26, 2008 by
Thinh from Arlington, TX
“The hotel was dirty. The maid did not clean our room properly. We were not able to get our two double beds. The halls smelled like smoke and urine. Would not recommend this hotel at all.” May 26, 2008 by
Ron from Torrance, CA
“We thought that the Subway stop was very close but it took a while to get to the Subway stop.” May 25, 2008 by
Judith from Allentown, PA
“Staff was very helpful and courteous. Van service was very helpful. Driver was very courteous and was a very careful driver.” May 25, 2008 by
Bill from Amarillo, TX
“Good price for weekday for hotel close to airport.” May 24, 2008 by
Todd from Sebring, FL
“Hotel is newer. If you wish to be close to the baseball, football or horse racing then your there! The restaurant is called Benny and the Bums. It is a sports style place and the sound is loud. Food is about 8 out of a possible 10. Service is fine. The room is Holiday plain as they all are. It is better than an old one though.” May 24, 2008 by
Kirk from Columbia, SC
“Holiday Inns, I feel, should all be 2 to 2.5 stars. I would put Hyatt on the high end and Holiday Inn on the bottom of the 3's. In my opinion, Holiday Inns should all be 2's or 2.5's at the most.” May 23, 2008 by
Pamela from Houston, TX
“The room was not ready for hours & the staff kept telling us to return in an hour. Then the room (a non-smoking room) was filled with smoke--nothing was done about this the entire stay. The staff locked us out of our room every night and did not apologize when they re-keyed our cards. I have to commend the bell staff--they were most helpful--getting us cabs, storing our luggage and taking us to the airport with the utmost kindness and cheerfulness--not at all like most service people in Philadelphia! I hope I never have to come back to the city of brotherly love not again!” May 23, 2008 by
Dave from Providence, RI
“I asked housekeeping to clean up the room when my wife was finished with her nap (at five) they told me there was no staff to do that. Inquired as to why it had not been done between ten and four when we returned. No response. I asked for a change of towels, however.” May 12, 2008 by
Mike from San Rafael, CA
“The hotel was a bit far away from the airport for an airport hotel. It felt like it was in a bad neighborhood. It seemed old. The carpeting was dirty. It was ok for a late night arrival and early morning departure, but not for a longer stay.” May 9, 2008 by
James from Bradenton, FL
“Stayed overnight for the convenience of getting to the airport in the morning. It was sufficient for this purpose. Free parking was a plus. Restaurant played loud music, for whom? There were very few people in the dining area at 10 p.m. and it was not a weekend so who were they playing loud music for themselves? We waited 10 minutes for service then got up and ordered out from a Chinese restaurant.” May 5, 2008 by
Boris from Evanston, IL
“Great if all you're doing is going to the ballgame. Room was not set up comfortably.” May 4, 2008 by
Kevin from Oakdale, CA
“Non smoking, smelt like cigarettes, bed! Old hotel needs to be remodeled!” Apr 24, 2008 by
Jennifer from St. Marys, PA
“Hotel was good but. Not even for a fee.” Apr 23, 2008 by
Lynn from Doylestown, PA
“We had a pleasant stay and was everything we expected except for the distant to the airport.” Apr 14, 2008 by
Dean from Las Vegas, NV
“The hotel is very business friendly with a great restaurant (Benny the Bum's). My only complaint was when I call the hotel from the airport hotel directory (at the airport), I was told that the shuttle doesn't pick up guests at the airport unless you are part of a flight crew. I then found out that the shuttle does not start until 6 AM. This is totally unacceptable for a hotel especially since they are on the directory with the direct phone at the airport. If you plan on staying at this hotel, plan on taking a cab from the airport and then to the airport if you have an early flight.” Apr 8, 2008 by
Lisa from Indiana, PA
“Shortage of staff was my biggest disappointment. Especially for weekend travelers. Everything else was very satisfactory.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Mark from Hazleton, PA
“Hotel was fine. Front desk was courteous. Didn't get a chance to use restaurant on site as we were attending seminars at another location.” Mar 28, 2008 by
Ken from Weston, FL
“A good location only if you plan to attend a sporting event in the very close by arenas. The hotel was about 8 miles from the airport-- too far to be an "airport hotel selection." The room was clean but the bathroom was less than great--they had to replace the shower head which sprayed all over the bathroom/there were cigarette burns along the edges of the tub (this was a non smoking room).” Mar 24, 2008 by
David from Las Vegas, NV
“The first room I was checked into had a heavy odor of room freshener - almost to a gag level amount. Also, TV did not work. Changed to a different room and it was about the same from an amenity standpoint and smell. Floor was dirty in bathroom in second room - like it was mopped in a hurry with a dirty mop. Staff was friendly and accommodating in room change. Overall, this was more like a motel you would stop at along the interstate on a cross country road trip. Place is worn and in need of an upgrade in the guest room department. I would really rather not stay at this hotel again if given a choice.” Mar 24, 2008 by
Stephen from Liverpool, NY
“Beds were not that comfortable. But the staff was friendly and it is a good location.” Mar 23, 2008 by
Gary from Tempe, AZ
“Great hotel in the heart of the sports complex in PA.” Mar 16, 2008 by
Alex from Gatineau, QC CA
“While the hotel was clean and met the standard of a 2.5-star, the service was horrible. I waited one hour and 15 minutes for the shuttle. I called after 30 minutes and they had forgotten about me - said it would be another 10 minutes, but was in fact 45 minutes until I stopped the shuttle - he would not have stopped.” Mar 16, 2008 by
James from Dover, DE
“The hotel had a large parking lot, vast open area guest waiting area, elevators, one of which was inoperable since October I was told. Rooms were good, nice hot water for showers, if facing downtown the view was fantastic. Being in South Philadelphia, made me think of Band of Brothers and SSG Guernere.” Mar 15, 2008 by
Bill from Frederick, MD
“I wanted a hotel closer the airport. This hotel should be classified as a Philadelphia hotel and not with the airport hotels. One elevator didn't work and I had to use the service elevator. Gift shop closed too early. I paid the same amount for a top notch Marriot the night before in Conshohocken, PA.” Mar 14, 2008 by
Todd from Woodbridge, VA
“The hotel is dated and the other guests were noisy. Liked that the whole floor was smoke free.” Mar 14, 2008 by
Roger from Plymouth, IN
“Good for business travelers.” Mar 7, 2008 by
Sherie from Lincoln, DE
“I like it, most staff was friendly. I thought it was a bummer that the elevator was out, but they fixed that problem promptly & we were on our way to the fifth floor.” Mar 3, 2008 by
Christen from Upper Darby, PA
“Hotel was great and staff as well.” Mar 2, 2008 by
Ken from Chardon, OH
“Shuttle Van took an hour to arrive at the airport. Front desk staff not friendly or helpful, even after issuing incorrect room assignment and key. Room service shut down at 9pm. Seems to be more sports complex oriented rather than business travel.” Feb 25, 2008 by
Tom from Newhall, CA
“About a 6-7 out of 10. Could have been cleaner and the ac did not work. Room was somewhat clean but the hotel is old.” Feb 22, 2008 by
Khurram from North Oaks, MN
“The hotel was very clean and tidy. The staff was very efficient and friendly.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Sushila from Dillwyn, VA
“I was here in August; the elevator did not work, and 6 months later, still only one elevator, and a service elevator. They gave me the same room, that had no hot water, and I was moved. The next room had a broken toilet, and they moved me. Last time I was moved 3 times. Yuk!” Feb 17, 2008 by
Debbie from Spokane, WA
“Better than I expected. Got in late and took a cab and no restaurant open when I got there. But friendly staff and comfortable room.” Feb 12, 2008 by
Steve from Cave Creek, AZ
“Very good and attentive staff. Very clean and good location for travel (easy to find and easy to get to freeways and the airport). Rooms were good. Restaurant service and food was good as well. All in all a pleasant stay.” Feb 11, 2008 by
Duane from Arlington Heights, IL
“Mold in bathroom, toilet leaked, shower fixtures loose, shuttle driver does 60 mph in a 35 zone, printed the wrong invoice, key did not work second day, hotel very hard to find at night, night time staff could not provide directions from the airport to the hotel.” Feb 9, 2008 by
Julie from Georgetown, TX
“I would have given this hotel a higher rating if the sink and tub had drained properly.” Feb 7, 2008 by
Valerie from Dahlonega, GA
“For the price - this hotel suited my needs. Convenient to and from the airport using their shuttle, restaurant on site.” Feb 6, 2008 by
Victor from Union Church, MS
“I stay in downtown hotels for a five dollar difference in a 3 star hotel. Nothing about the room was nice. Not the beds, the bathroom looked moldy, and the room smelled of smoke.” Feb 4, 2008 by
Steve from Fort Lauderdale, FL
“I arrived in my room and found that the iron left stains on my shirt, the toilet was wobbly and the shower knob (1) was broken and I was left to shower in what felt like 12 degree water. The hotel's response. "Well put you in another room when you return - we'll not it on your account". I returned and no notation was placed, and when I mentioned it, I was placed in a room that had the doors to the TV. Cabinet ripped from its hinges. I explained to the staff, I took the iron out of one room and replaced it with the other.” Feb 1, 2008 by
John from San Jose, CA
“Had to call the hotel for the shuttle. Took much to long for it to arrive. Shuttle departs from hotel at 6am. To late for early flights. Necessary to take a taxi at your expense.” Jan 31, 2008 by
Edith from Arab, AL
“I would like to thank the staff for all they did to make my stay as comfortable as possible.” Jan 31, 2008 by
Kevin from Fort Lauderdale, FL
“The hotel should not be considered to be in the Airport location. Travel time means less sleep time. The van service was unreliable and caused a long delay in getting to my room. When you already have a short night every minute counts. Upon arrival I had planned to order some food and go right to bed. I was informed that room service closed at nine, amazing. Had they picked me up in a timely manner and been closer to the airport I would not have gone hungry that night. There was no remote control for the TV in the room. I asked about van service to the airport in the morning and was told it was every half hour starting at 6am. You would think that the clerk would tell at that moment that I needed to sign up for it. When I came down for the 6am van I was told that it had left early because all who were registered for it had been present. After reading all this you tell me how you think my stay was.” Jan 30, 2008 by
John from Alexandria, VA
“Overall I would stay there again especially if I have plans to attend a ballgame. Or a stop over prior to a flight it would be a nice place to stay. It is also very close to downtown as well as the airport.” Jan 30, 2008 by
Michele from Farmingdale, NJ
“Overall, I had a very nice experience at the hotel. They were going through renovations so the floors in the elevators had dried dirt all over. And as a non smoker I wish they had non-smoking floors not just non-smoking rooms. When I got off the elevator I could smell the smoke.” Jan 16, 2008 by
M from Greeley, CO
“The location worked well, though I was initially concerned. It has easy access to major roads. Our first room, near the elevator (which was also being renovated) was loud, noisy and smelly. But the very friendly staff immediately moved us to the much superior non-smoking 5th floor. Neither of our rooms had a fridge or a microwave and it would have added $25 to the cost of the room. Others in our group had both. As we stayed several days, that would have been helpful. They do NOT have a 24 hour shuttle, the earliest shuttle is 6 am, unless you are airport personnel. They also have only one out of 5 pieces of fitness equipment operational. The business center is clean and tidy, but has a virtually useless internet connection. The in room Wi-Fi, works great though. I would stay again, as I really liked the staff and appreciated their sincere efforts to make things work out.” Jan 12, 2008 by
Shanny from Jefferson City, MO
“Great location, great amenities. I just feel that the bathroom mold problem needs to be taken care of. If it weren't for the mold and dust, I would have no problems with this hotel.” Jan 11, 2008 by
Aaron from Tyngsboro, MA
“This hotel is directly adjacent to the Philadelphia sports arenas and just 10 minutes from PHL airport. The property is undergoing renovations, which somewhat detract from the overall attractiveness. Room appointments were acceptable. Overall room cleanliness was good, but the floor was very dirty. The on-site restaurant has standard fare for breakfast. Complimentary local shuttle services are outstanding. Other service at the hotel was good. A good choice for business travelers looking for a bargain near PHL, and a great choice for fans catching a road game.” Jan 9, 2008 by
Ray from Valley Cottage, NY
“WARNING - This is not a 3 star hotel. The lobby is deceiving. The rooms are not clean and there is a bad odor. The staff needs to learn to speak English properly.” Hotel Representatives:
