  • The bathroom was nice and we had ample amount of linens.
  • The pillows were a little old and they should get a TV with a swivel.

  • Hotel was safe. Great location for a ballgame.
  • Very poor remodeling (wallpaper and drywall repairs ). Most of the staff was not friendly or helpful at all.

“Hotel was safe and secure. Did not use pool or restaurant (prices were ridiculous). Room was clean but it was obvious that the remodeling and repair work was not done by professionals. I wallpaper and paint better then that. Staff was not friendly and acted as if you were bothering them if you asked them a question. Only 2 front desk people were helpful and we were there for 3 nights. Got most of our info from the guy running a store in the lobby - he was great.”

  • There was nothing impressive about this hotel.
  • Internet access is free, if you can get access. They seriously expect you to go to the overcrowded lobby to access wireless internet.

“I had called in the day I was arriving to let the hotel know that it would be a very late arrival. I reached the reception and the lady there was helpful but not really bothered other than give me my room card, because it looked like I had interrupted her flirting with a guy she was talking to on the side. It was very obvious, not professional at all. I go to my room, everything on the periphery looked clean but look in the tub, you will see mold on the tiles and the sides of the tub. I crashed in to sleep. Woke up early to check my email. I cannot connect to the free wireless internet because apparently the signal is poor on the 8th floor. I went to the lobby and the lobby was filled with prospective interviewees for some job in the hotel. There were no chairs free. So I find a chair in the corner to sit and I am told by the manager: 'Sir, can you find some other place, because I am conducting an interview here'. Customer first policy, to the core! By the way, the whole lobby was the hang out of business travelers on every floor of the hotel, not just the higher floors, because no one had access to the wireless internet in their rooms.”

  • The restaurant and bar attracted nice friendly people.
  • The bed it was as hard as a rock.

“The hotel was old but in good condition. I don't have any real complaints just the bed was so hard it just was not comfortable. The staff was friendly and did their jobs. No manager is ever visible in hotels anymore and this one is no different. If they were visible and involved may be they wouldn't have wasted all that money on uncomfortable beds. They would have heard their customers and made better decisions.”

“I would never stay here again. There are plenty of hotels in the area. The tub was dirty, the towels were very stiff and need to be retired. The beds were hard as rocks and the overall look of the room needs an update. Nothing compared to the Sheraton heavenly bed.”

  • It was close to the ballpark and that's the reason we were there.
  • The chain in the toilet broke 3 times during are 2 night stay.

“We enjoyed the close proximity to the ballpark. The restaurant turns into a bar at night, which was fun after the ball game. Our room itself, was ok, but the chain in the toilet broke 3 times, meaning we couldn't flush the toilet. When we told the front desk they acted like that happens all the time, but 3 times in 2 days is excessive!”

“Definitely not one that anyone would want to come back to. Everything seemed so dirty and old. The bed was rock hard and the pillows were crunchy foam. We were glad to not have to deal with a smoking environment, but would not recommend.”

  • Folks at the front desk were accommodating.
  • Bathroom shower made a deafening noise when started.

“I would give this place a 0.5 star at best. The rooms are strictly ok, the plumbing and piping inside the room is average at best. There is no airport shuttle for this being an airport hotel. Add $20+ to your hotel cost to get a cab from the airport. I have to say the front desk was very accommodating and almost. Almost made up for the facilities. Don't worry about keeping your cholesterol in check when you dine downstairs. Not much of a quasi healthy menu. All in all, no reason to waste much white space here. It's a below average experience that I for sure will not go back.”

  • It is a newer Holiday Inn.
  • It is out where there is nothing to do, but sports is close.

“Hotel is newer. If you wish to be close to the baseball, football or horse racing then your there! The restaurant is called Benny and the Bums. It is a sports style place and the sound is loud. Food is about 8 out of a possible 10. Service is fine. The room is Holiday plain as they all are. It is better than an old one though.”

“The room was not ready for hours & the staff kept telling us to return in an hour. Then the room (a non-smoking room) was filled with smoke--nothing was done about this the entire stay. The staff locked us out of our room every night and did not apologize when they re-keyed our cards. I have to commend the bell staff--they were most helpful--getting us cabs, storing our luggage and taking us to the airport with the utmost kindness and cheerfulness--not at all like most service people in Philadelphia! I hope I never have to come back to the city of brotherly love not again!”

  • Dirty carpeting, hotel is in need of renovations/updating.

“Stayed overnight for the convenience of getting to the airport in the morning. It was sufficient for this purpose. Free parking was a plus. Restaurant played loud music, for whom? There were very few people in the dining area at 10 p.m. and it was not a weekend so who were they playing loud music for themselves? We waited 10 minutes for service then got up and ordered out from a Chinese restaurant.”

  • The shuttle does not run before 6 AM.

“The hotel is very business friendly with a great restaurant (Benny the Bum's). My only complaint was when I call the hotel from the airport hotel directory (at the airport), I was told that the shuttle doesn't pick up guests at the airport unless you are part of a flight crew. I then found out that the shuttle does not start until 6 AM. This is totally unacceptable for a hotel especially since they are on the directory with the direct phone at the airport. If you plan on staying at this hotel, plan on taking a cab from the airport and then to the airport if you have an early flight.”

  • It was perfect for what I needed. Entertainment, store, restaurant.
  • Room service was not available Saturday. My $35.00 meal out of Styrofoam from the hotel restaurant was disappointing.

  • Too far from airport to be considered an airport hotel--also, the bathroom had floor stains and cigarette burns on the tub (in this non smoking room).

“A good location only if you plan to attend a sporting event in the very close by arenas. The hotel was about 8 miles from the airport-- too far to be an "airport hotel selection." The room was clean but the bathroom was less than great--they had to replace the shower head which sprayed all over the bathroom/there were cigarette burns along the edges of the tub (this was a non smoking room).”

  • Lobby, location and public areas very clean and attractive.
  • Rooms had heavy odor of floral room freshener. Beds not very comfortable. Bathroom dirty and in poor condition.

“The first room I was checked into had a heavy odor of room freshener - almost to a gag level amount. Also, TV did not work. Changed to a different room and it was about the same from an amenity standpoint and smell. Floor was dirty in bathroom in second room - like it was mopped in a hurry with a dirty mop. Staff was friendly and accommodating in room change. Overall, this was more like a motel you would stop at along the interstate on a cross country road trip. Place is worn and in need of an upgrade in the guest room department. I would really rather not stay at this hotel again if given a choice.”

  • Waited over one hour for the shuttle.

“While the hotel was clean and met the standard of a 2.5-star, the service was horrible. I waited one hour and 15 minutes for the shuttle. I called after 30 minutes and they had forgotten about me - said it would be another 10 minutes, but was in fact 45 minutes until I stopped the shuttle - he would not have stopped.”

“The hotel had a large parking lot, vast open area guest waiting area, elevators, one of which was inoperable since October I was told. Rooms were good, nice hot water for showers, if facing downtown the view was fantastic. Being in South Philadelphia, made me think of Band of Brothers and SSG Guernere.”

“I wanted a hotel closer the airport. This hotel should be classified as a Philadelphia hotel and not with the airport hotels. One elevator didn't work and I had to use the service elevator. Gift shop closed too early. I paid the same amount for a top notch Marriot the night before in Conshohocken, PA.”

  • The Elevator was out & one of the custodial persons offered to take my bags 5 flights, then stored them for me so I could eat in the lounge.
  • The elevator was broken.
