• Nice bar area.
• Room had not been dusted in months.

“Great location. However, there was a tattoo convention going on and in our original room we were smelling lots of cigarette smoke. We called the front desk and they had no problems moving us at all! Both rooms had not been dusted in what seemed like months. My son was easily able to draw his name in the headboard of his bed in the dust. Bathrooms were both dusty especially on top of the toilet tank lid. Parking was also a little high at $30.00 for the night.”

“Its not ideal and there were a number of boarded up shops enrooted. But the parking is safe and there were quite a few cars at 10pm on the street. It was not as bad as we perhaps imagined it. The staff was friendly and room was comfortable.”

“Everyone at the concierge desk was so helpful--really made our trip easier and more enjoyable. The location was great--we did take a cab to get to the Independence Hall area (under $10) but everything else we did we were able to walk or use the Subway.”

• The room did not feel like it was cleaned thoroughly or consistently.

“Location was convenient for Center City and Art Museum area of Philadelphia. The hotel entrance seemed awkward and not walker friendly so I kept using the side door. The staff was very friendly, however the maid service was inconsistent day to day. I expected more from Sheraton.”

• Beautiful, spacious room, very clean.
• The air conditioner. Fan blows directly on the bed and doors closing in the hall make a very loud noise that kept me up all night.

“Nice hotel with very comfortable bed, spacious room, good location if you're going to the convention center or the art museum. Busy, with lots of convention groups. Fitness center was pretty nice, pool very warm.”

“It is a very good quality hotel for a three star hotel. The bedroom is clean and the bed quality is fabulous! Soft and comfortable. They have the basic necessity available, like a hair dryer, etc. There's quite a good view from the window. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Plus there is a free wireless internet access in the lobby!”

• The decor of the room. Dark pin stripes. Very masculine and neat.
• The shower was bizarre / no bathtub.

“Though the room was small and the bed only a queen the appointment of the room and comfortable bed more than made up the difference. I would stay there again without hesitation. The shower (no tub) was wheelchair accessible which those who require such probably appreciate, I wished there was a bath.”

“Excellent access to I-95 and 676. Some views up the Ben Franklin Parkway. Great center city location. Beautiful lobby/public spaces. Very inviting room. Convenient but very expensive parking ($30 per day).”

• Loved the layout. Great seafood restaurant in the hotel. And loved the color layout on my floor.
• The front desk staff could have been a little friendlier.

“I loved it. Although the parking fee was a little high the garage was efficient and easy to access. I hardly have anything bad to say about my stay.”

• The hotel was inviting from the front door to the rooms.
• We had to wait and/or find someone from valet parking when we were ready for our car.

“My overall experience was very good at this hotel. The rooms were clean, inviting, and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating. Everything exceeded our expectations. The pretzels offered were a nice touch.”

• It was near the center of town, very nice linens, clean, nice rooms, quality and semi-upscale.
• Had to take a taxi to the historic sites and center of town.

“I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Had to take taxis to the historic places which cost $7 each way. Parking was $30 expected in a city, movie rentals high at $12.99 in room. Room was very nice, quality linens, nice towels, clean nice bathroom, had a high room with a very nice view of the city. I would stay in this hotel again. Staff friendly and answered any questions, room service fast.”

“The hotel was very clean and the bed was very comfy! I was only a couple blocks from the metro, which made traveling to the Wachovia Center very easy. The staff was extremely helpful in assisting a country boy around Philly!”

• Big, beautiful lobby. We made great use of the concierge. Rooms super clean and furnished nicely.
• Hallway corridors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a few days. Wrappers/small trash/sugar packets scattered all over hallway.

“This definitely exceeded our expectations! Just a gorgeous hotel, great location (near many museums), wonderful staff. Only downside was our floor's hallway was not clean, which means only one person wasn't doing their job. Also, you must pay $25 just to park your car there. But the room itself was spotless and beautifully furnished. We made constant use of the hotel concierge, who gave us great recommendations for meals and night spots. I would definitely visit again.”

• No hot tub. Small rooms. Expensive food. Expensive parking.

“Sheraton city center Philadelphia was located near everything in downtown Philadelphia. It was not as close to independence mall and other downtown attractions as some other hotels, though. Upscale common areas that included a lobby bar, small breakfast restaurant and fancy seafood restaurant. Food and drinks were very good, and even more expensive. The room was small and not exceedingly attractive. The walls were either too thin, or our neighbors were very loud. Either way the noise was an issue. Hotel only had a small pool and no hot tub. This may be ideal for business travelers but my wife and I were on a trip for leisure and we were looking forward to sitting in the hot tub after being in the cold all day. Staff was a mix of helpful to rude. Parking cost us more than our rental car did on a per day basis ($25 per day). I know it costs to park in the city but that was outrageous especially when most of the spots were empty.”

• Only room available was handicap, missing mirror in bath parking too high priced.

“We set up this stay as a romantic get a way for our anniversary. When we went to check in they only had rooms with two doubles but were able to put us in a handicap room with a queen bed. The room was nice, view was not. Mirror missing from bathroom. Had breakfast in the hotel lobby, waited awhile for the waiter to show up. Breakfast was good up until I tasted my home fries, still frozen, not good, and also a little pricy. Checked out and was hit with $34.00 parking fee for overnight stay, first breakfast and now this. Overall, would not recommend.”

• Many things were extra, expensive parking, pay for internet.

“Had a great time at this hotel. Can walk to almost everything. However, there is a cyber room where you can have free internet (stand up and not beautiful but still its available). We were able to find inexpensive local parking on weekends and therefore did not have to pay $25 a night. Great views, nice heated indoor pool with views and nice fitness room. Would stay here again an overall great experience.”

“This hotel is in a great location. For $25 you can park your car in the garage and come and go as you please for 24 hours. Do not stay here if you're being charged the full rate. We were extremely disappointed. There was hair on the bed sheets, trash from the previous guest's lunch on the floor, vents were coated in an inch thick layer of dust, sink was cracked, and the hallway was covered in crumbs and pieces of food. There isn't free wireless internet access, few television channels, and an unclear picture. Overall, it wasn't a very comfortable stay.”

“Convenient location to many areas of downtown Philly. Parking available inside under the hotel as well as several outside lots for a nominal fee. Rooms were clean and comfortable and had good sound proofing. Overall I would recommend this to anyone interested in Philly.”

“The hotel could use some updating, but the bed was comfy and everything worked fine.”
