• Nothing, we absolutely loved it.

“This hotel was awesome. It was perfectly priced and was in a great location. We liked the hotel so much that we were looking to stay at the one in Washington D.C. when we go away in May. We would not stay anywhere else if we ever stay in Philadelphia again.”

“The hotel is in a great center city location. Friendly staff, and you feel secure with the separate entrance (but it also takes more time to get to your room). The standard rooms are quite small, and the internet connection is too slow for a hotel primarily oriented to business travelers.”

• Comfortable mattress, helpful staff, clean.
• Not enough outlets, very small bathroom, no tub, problems with water pressure on top floor.

“The location is very convenient. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The thermostat worked well. There is no easy chair. The TV was over the desk at an odd angle with respect to the bed. There were too few power outlets.”

• We had a fridge, bar sink and microwave.
• Parking.

“We had a room on the lobby level. It was large, high ceilings, but sparsely furnished. 2 bath towels, one wash cloth and 1 hand towel for 2 people which I thought was a little strange. The parking is under the shops at Liberty Place. They will validate at the hotel & you get something like $4.00 off. Overnight parking (and anything over 90 minutes) was something like $28.00-no in/out privileges. There were 3 computers in the lobby for people to use. We had a microwave, bar sink and a fridge. I'm not sure if all rooms have that.”

• They had filtered water w/ water bottles which was also suspect to me as well.
• I was on the 7th floor; the room was small, smelled like a smoking floor although they said it wasn't. Carpet didn't look clean, wallpaper was peeling.

“There is no one to greet you at the door when you get to the hotel. You have to take an elevator to get to the hotel lobby. Hotel staff was mediocre at best. I stayed on the 7th floor and I immediately noted how the halls smelled like cigarette smoke. I called the front desk to ask them if the room was non-smoking and they said yes it was. The room was extremely tiny, the queen sized bed looked like a full, the room didn't smell fresh either. The carpet appeared dirty in spots and worn. There was no mini fridge, ironing board or iron. The bathroom was odd with the toilet seat cover that didn't clear the counter space. The handle to flush to toilet tucked under the counter-very odd and inconvenient. The coffee pot was located and plugged in, in the bathroom right above the toilet seat. I've stayed at many hotels in the Philadelphia area and this hotel really takes the cake. The following day the hotel had a really bad odor in the elevator and lobby area. There was also wallpaper that was peeling and raised right outside my door. My friend who stayed there once, will not stay there again after hearing about my experience. They need to do better than this and their customer service skills need revamping.”

• Very, very small rooms and tiny bathroom.

“The bed was very comfortable and included a nice duvet. The room was tiny more like a European hotel. The shower was very small but did have a nice shower head. Avoid staying near the elevator it had a load ding every time it arrived on our floor.”

• The front desk staff was amazingly helpful. The location was perfect.

“This hotel is a hidden gem in downtown Philadelphia. However I was pleasantly surprised, the location is excellent, the front desk staff extremely friendly and relatable and the room, albeit was not huge, was cozy and beautiful.”

• Wonderful restaurant adjacent for breakfast.
• Minuscule room adequate perhaps for one person but not for two.

“The room was tiny, about half the size of the usual standard room in a hotel. The bed was quite small with barely enough room for two people. Traffic noise from the street below was constant, and this made sleeping difficult. However the room was clean and nicely furnished. And there were computers in the lobby with free high speed internet access. That was a nice touch.”

• Clean, simple decor and very comfortable bed.
• Lobby was located one floor up and no valet parking.

“Clean comfortable hotel, ideal for business or leisure travelers. Provides chilled water dispensers and bottles to refill and take with you. Great location however with it being in the heart of the city I would have expected valet parking, though a parking garage is located just around the corner. I would definitely stay here again!”

• Loud party, on the floor that my room was on, at 3am. Hotel staff took care of it fairly well.

• The staff did not seem interested in customer service.

“I was disappointed that this was listed as a three star hotel because it did not pan out to be one. The first room I was given had dirty linens on the bathroom floor, used coffee cups, an unmade bed, etc. When I called the desk they said they would send someone right up. No one ever came. After 15 minutes I called again. When he finally arrived he only said "housekeeping put it in as being cleaned." he took me to another room on another floor. He tried to open the door. The lock would not work. He had to go back to the desk to get a key to open the door. Though this room had been cleaned it is in need of painting. The only service recovery attempted was he said "sorry about the room." another night I asked at the desk if they had complimentary toothpaste and was told that they did. She returned and stated that they were out but she would "check with the boys". Evidently the "boys" did not have toothpaste either so I was directed to the 12th floor vending machine. I had to return to the desk to get change to use in the machine. It just didn't seem that the staff cared whether they met anyone's expectations or not.”

“The hotel was in a great location and had everything you could need. The staff did not try hard to be friendly or welcoming, but did handle everything with great efficiency. Clearly this hotel is geared toward business travelers and I would stay there again for business. It was pretty good for leisure travel, but I might look for someplace more friendlily for my next weekend away.”

• It was midtown, and seemed safe, staff was nice and helpful, and they gave you cold bottled water.
• Rooms were very small, smelled of perfume when we turned on the air, and you had to park in garage across street.

“For the second time, Club Quarters gave us what was clearly a single room. Although I was expecting the room to be small (the first one was unmanageably so), I wasn't expecting to find only one (desk) chair, one washcloth, one hand towel, etc. When I returned to the desk to request another room, I was told that all rooms are the same - a claim that is insultingly untrue given the variety of rooms advertised on Club Quarters' web site. It also took two separate trips to the lobby to obtain additional towels and a second, quite utilitarian, chair.”

• The room was very clean, the housekeeping did a great job, and the room service brought up the food I ordered from an outside restaurant very promptly.
• The room is quite small.

“Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel. I had heard some things that made me think the club quarters was going to be a bad deal, but I was very pleased overall. They had a gym on the 12th floor that was clean, the rooms were very clean, and the free bottled water available on my floor was a really nice touch. I was pleasantly surprised overall.”

“This hotel is a great bargain if you want to stay down town. The rooms & especially the bathrooms are very small, but are fine if you don't plan to spend much time there. The lobby is very nice and has free internet access & printing. I would stay here again.”

• Nice comfortable room close to many shops and attractions.
• Only having one queen bed.

“Nice lobby with a family room atmosphere, couches, TV, 3 computers and printer. Coffee, tea and ice water always available. Room clean and attractive but only one queen bed, 2 beds not available except twin size. Coffee, fridge and microwave in room. Hairdryer and ironing board. Ice water you can refill yourself with water bottles on each floor. Great hotel.”

• The hotel lobby was beautiful with complimentary Internet access.
• Called for extra pillows and no one came with them for 45 minutes.

“For the price paid, a great deal. Room had two twin beds, would have preferred a different sleeping arrangement, the desk staff didnt ask us what we preferred so we just took what they gave us. Security was great; access to guest rooms Is secured through having to swipe your room key In the elevator. Hotel Is very convent to all downtown Philadelphia attractions, within walking distance of almost everything, close access to the train station.”

• Location and friendly staff.
• Small rooms and the smell of cigarette smoke on a non smoking floor.

“This hotel is in a prime location - near lots of shopping, restaurants, cafes, and Ritten house Square. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant has been closed for private functions each time I visited (don't be tempted to use the recommended nearby restaurants for room service which provide mediocre or sub mediocre fare). The walls are thin and the rooms are small. Overall, I think I got what I paid for.”

“The hotel was very nice. Perfect if you are visiting Philadelphia for the first time it was near everything I wanted to go to. However my only complaint was it was cramped for space.”

“If you want class, a nice room and a comfortable stay, please do not stay at this hotel. The rooms were the size of a cruise ship. They had the nerve to give me 2 twin beds. I'm one for discounts, but not at the expense of quality. Please do not stay at this horrible hotel, which should be called a motel.”

• It is definitely very good for business travelers. Makes us want to check out other CQ's in other cities.
• I was actually a business traveler with spouse (not an option in #12) and it still met our needs very well.
