• The room was clean, well-furhished, good bed; staff was friendly; general ambience good.
• My room was in the back and did not have the advertised mini-bar.

“The Westin quality is good. Room was at first guest floor, at the back, and no view), but as I was gone all day, no problem. Nice and quiet; room very comfortable. I liked the in-room coffee, but no extra pods because there was no mini-bar. (Only there for one night do didn't ask.)”

• Bed was comfortable. Shower hot and twin shower head strong.
• Staff at font desk upon check in (3 gentlemen) not accommodating regarding request for higher floor and or street view. Received lowest floor, back view.

“My impression was that the management and staff (with a few exceptions) were more focused on practicing fast-talking negotiations instead of courteous service to their guests. It is all about attitude although some specific behaviors can be offered such as falsely implying the 4th floor was not the lowest floor when in fact it is, indicating no other rooms were available other than the 4th floor room with an unattractive rear view which was also false, no caffeinated coffee (shipment is late), uneven room service (had to request soaps or shampoos on various days), and the internet service was not included ($13 daily charge). Most disappointing was the front desk gentlemen upon check-in whose fast-talking wheeling and dealing style was very unprofessional. This set an unpleasant tone for my stay. I would not stay here again.”

• Loved the lobby, loved the clean bathroom and quality.
• The maid service started at 8:00 AM, was loud and persisted until noon. knocking and talking in the hall way.

• Clean, modern, good location, nice amenities.
• How we were treated after being greatly inconvenienced.

“The Hilton turned out to be the Hilton Garden Inn in Chinatown, which was several blocks away from the Westin location. The next day, we returned to the Westin (in a cab at our own expense) and we checked into a standard room. Upon checkout, there was no credit for the first night in which we did not stay at the hotel. Needless to say, the overall experience left us less than satisfied, especially considering none of this was our fault.”

• Had to pay for internet.

“The hotel is best located for business travellers. We found the dozen or so block walk to the Historic District to be fine in terms of time and safety. There are no extra provisions for families, that we noticed, but with teens, it didn't matter.”

• Clean, nice shower heads and nice TV.
• No pool, no whirlpool, no shuttle to Airport.

“The hotel has a poor layout that leads to having to walk through parties in the hotel lobby to get to the elevators that take you to the rooms. The staff was present, but not much help. The workout room was lacking. No bathroom exhaust vents for showers.”

• Clean, in room amenities include Starbucks coffee, dual shower heads, bed was heavenly soft, location was excellent for us.
• Parking is exorbitant, valet left car unlocked we just happened to be walking by and noticed car was unlocked in parking garage with GPS and cell phone.

“This hotel was great for the price. Location is very safe, we walked to Liberty Bell and Independence hall. Mutter museum is just a hop away (a must see) and we walked to the Philadelphia museum of art. I have no complaints other than the exorbitant prices for parking but that's anywhere downtown Philly. Also valet left our car unlocked in the parking garage, which we let them know about, and it didn't happen again. All in all a great hotel for the price.”

• Located in city center; friendly staff; incredibly comfortable beds.
• $40 for valet, $30 for self-park/day or night.

“This hotel is a great for staying in Philly. High class, comfortable and convenient. The staff is very pleasant. The beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable - it's like sleeping on a cloud, amazing! Beware of the parking fees if you're driving. $32/day or night for self-park or $42/day for valet with in/out privileges.”

• Very upscale, but comfortable, a hotel I would stay in anytime.
• There was no pool, which I expected from the Brand of the Hotel alone.

“I hotel was lovely, the staff was great. The scenery was fabulous! The mini - bars and extra snacks was a plus, (expensive however)! The room was very clean, and extremely cozy. Our view was not so great, because it overlooked a tower office building and a mall, besides that I have no complaint. The room I had was 809- that room overlooked a mall, don't get that, lol.”

“The hotel room was fine. Comfortable beds and our bags were stored after my friend and I checked out so we could walk around town more. It is a trek to Independence Hall etc but overall it was a great experience.”

• The bed and bedding was heavenly!

“Hotel was beautiful, elegant, yet very relaxing and comfortable. Service was very friendly and helpful, and we were given vouchers for free breakfast. The location is great, close to so many historical sites and lots of shopping.”

• Perfect location for shopping, site seeing and attending the ballgame.
• Very expensive to park--no options.

“This is a beautiful, clean hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the king sized bed was so comfy! Perfect location for walking around or catching the $5.00 per day bus for sightseeing.”

• The location, friendliness of workers at the hotel, and the hotel itself.
• The bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked. And when I asked the non-English speaking housekeeping for towels I received pillow cases.

• Newly remodeled and modern. Walking distance from many historic attractions.
• Did not provide discounted parking rate for guests. Locker room literally stunk.

• Very nice and clean. Good location.
• The fact that we got locked in our room was such a fire hazard.

“They should take away the computerized deadbolt that locked us in. It is such a fire hazard. It was actually very disturbing. I was requesting they let us through the adjoining room and he said that they couldn't because that room was occupied. It was scary that we just couldn't leave. Again, what a terrible fire hazard. It may sound silly, but, it was a cause for panic. Also two of the three elevators weren't working properly. Otherwise, the hotel was wonderful. It's clean, upscale, and in a wonderful location. I've always been a fan of Westins.”

• Staff was very helpful. Room, and overall hotel were very nice.
• The hotel location was about 12 blocks to the Independence Visitor's Center. There were many homeless people and vacant buildings along the path.

“Overall, the hotel was very lovely and very nice accommodations. It is the type of hotel I prefer to stay at. The only drawback was the immediate neighborhood and the walk to the Independence Visitor's Center. The neighborhood was very run down, with homeless people lying on the ground begging for money, and other various hustlers. The walk from the Visitor's Center to the hotel was not pleasant, however, it was educational for my 12 year old son. I took the opportunity to educate him about why one must graduate from college! My husband, son and I stayed at the hotel.”

• I liked the size of the room and the quality of the facilities.
• There was nothing I actively disliked. I would have liked more easier access to the rooms. Had to switch elevators.
