• Filthy room, changed second night.

“Front desk OK, 1st room absolutely filthy, 2nd room OK. Poor example of an Embassy Suites. Unless you have tons of kids & need the room stay somewhere else. Doorman advised against walking in neighborhood after dark; he said a number of car break ins had occurred.”

• The value and size of the room was amazing.
• Hallways weren't that great looking.

“The size of the suites was outstanding. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was really nice. Having a separate living room area, away from the bedroom, was great. I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to everyone I know! It's also in a great location for sightseeing.”

• Energy efficient lights took 15 minutes to turn on parking 40 dollars a night.

helpful. Great breakfast, and cocktail hour. Was a real treat. Liked the fridge it was in a neither room so it was quiet to sleep. The hvac was noisy.”

• Dirty air filters in room.

“When I checked in I was told I needed to sign a paper that I would have no parties in the room, thought odd and was told everyone signs this form, I then asked others that checked in and there never signed such a paper. In addition, the room would not get cool set at 65* called and when they came to check the filter was so thick and black the air couldn't go through it.”

• It was clean and the room was spacious. The private balcony overlooking the Benjamin Franklin Parkway was perfect. The location was ideal.
• The hotel included breakfast at TGI Fridays. There was an omelets station and there wasn't anyone to make them.

“I thought the hotel was located in a prime spot. The private balcony was a real bonus. It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The suite was spacious and updated. I highly recommend this hotel!”

• The room was stunning, beautiful and clean.
• Only having 2 computers and 1 printer.

“Simply the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. From the moment I walked in, the staff was gracious and helpful. The room was enormous and very well maintained, with everything a person traveling could possibly want (with the sole exception of closet/storage space). I'd stay again in a heartbeat. I hated to leave.”

• The AC didn't work very well and was very loud.

• Parking cost was high.

“Great hotel, elevator was undergoing remodeling, so it was really tight quarters & it seemed you had to wait forever, but the quality of the room was superb! Beds were comfy, plenty of room, hot breakfast.”

• I liked how big each suite was.
• I wish that they could have fixed the elevators in a more timely manner.

“Overall, this is a great hotel. If most of your stay in Philly revolves around seeing the historic attractions, I would probably stay at another location but seeing as how we wanted to see a lot of the attractions spread throughout the city this location was perfect.”

• Location and small kitchen in the room.
• Elevator was not activating properly.

“Overall, it was pretty much ok. Although the elevator stopped next morning, I could see the staffs trying to fix the problem and they provided good service. Breakfast was ok but not much salad or green stuffs.”

• The suite was so spacious that it would make a decent condo if it had a full stove!
• The elevators were very slow. On our checkout day, they were having problems, requiring a hotel staff to run them.

• The suite type room was great - more than we expected.
• The breakfast that comes with the room has a waiting line in the morning if the hotel is full and is a limited affair.

• Excellent location.
• No vending machines, had to go to front desk, they ran out of diet coke! Ice only on 2nd floor.

“Great location, large rooms. Elevators were slow. I desired ice and a diet coke. Ice machines are all on the 2nd floor and there are no vending machines, needed to go to reception desk. On day 2, they were out of diet coke so I had to walk to the Wawa, which luckily was very convenient. Bath tub drain was not working, at the end of my shower, water was half way to my knees and it took 30 min to drain.”

• We had a pleasant experience and there was nothing that we didn't like.

“Was a little worried as the last few Embassy's I have stayed at were sub par. Not so in Philly! Room was huge and clean. Nice staff for the most part. Beautiful view of 'Museum Row' overlooking large fountain and the Art Museum. I love to walk when in cities, so I did not mind being a few extra blocks from things to do- but location is fine. Would happily stay there again.”

• The atmosphere of the hotel outside the room was more motel then hotel.

“I love the Embassy Suites rooms. They are a comfortable change because you actually enjoy spending time in the room. You have a separate living room and bedroom, so you can actually invite a client in to your room to speak. But the hotel itself was a bit of a let down. Kids were allowed to go running around in the work out room. The design of the hotel is interesting, and if a little more effort was placed into it. But to be fair, they were undergoing a renovation, as the signs clearly stated. I would be interested in seeing the end result when done. The TGIF next door provided a decent full breakfast as part of the room, which was a nice perk. Its nothing grand, but it is on par with an IHOP, and buffet service means youre in and out at your own pace.”

• I liked the free cocktails from 5:30 - 7:30 everyday.
• It was under renovation and the lobby had a bit of a smell.

• Renovations in progress.

“Embassy Suites Philadelphia offers a prime location with easy accessibility to everything Philly has to offer: i.e.: Museums, great dining, theater and historic sites. Very roomy: easily sleeps 6. Pleasant and accommodating staff, excellent manager's reception. i.e.: open bar (could use a snack besides pretzels). Hotel has large, well equipped exercise room but no pool. Presently, lobby is under renovations. This did not affect our overall experience. I stayed here with three friends - great!”

“Shabby security lock not screwed into door molding door left open by staff open as in not closed holes in walls stains on carpet cold, cold wind draft around sliding doors and windows - one room had tub that did not drained harassed that I stayed 2 nights with 4 other people/rooms changed location to embassy suites due to bad weather forecast in pa and wanted to be able to walk to appointments 13-14 will never consider embassy suites again and hope all who read this will stay elsewhere.”

• Had to pay for internet.

“We loved our stay at the Embassy Suites in Central City. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean. The location was wonderful. Absolutely no complaints other then we had to pay $10 a day for cable internet. Paying for parking is annoying but we found a parking lot less then a block away that was several dollars cheaper then the hotel so we parked there instead. This one was definitely the best.”

• We received exceptional service from the staff. Everyone was friendly and extremely helpful.
• The business center was expensive and only had one computer and printer.

“The staff was exceptional, attentive, helpful, friendly. The room was clean with very nice furniture. The bed was comfortable with a fluffy duvet. However, parking is extremely expensive, $28 inclusive of tax when we were there, as well as time consuming valet only.”

• Good staff, fantastic valet service.
• Dirty room, old worn out furniture, worn out refrig.

“The location was very good, the parking situation was dismal. Valets were patient and very respectful, staff was good. Elevators were painfully slow, and we waited 15 minutes for one on one occassion. Our room on the 5th floor was very dusty, sticky tabletops, etc. Remote needed batteries, refrig was leaning out of cabinet. Supposed to be a non-smoking floor, but heavy cigarette smoke was coming into our room from another "non-smoking" room. We were given a $25 voucher for dinner for our inconvenience, which was a nice gesture, but it didn't make up for the situation. ”

• The suite was spacious and had a great view of the city. I also loved the happy hour.
• False alarm required all occupants to vacate their rooms at 2 AM. We stood in a stairwell with a small child for an hour without further instructions.

“Most of the staff at Embassy Suites was very friendly and helpful during our stay. Our room was upgraded from double beds to king bed but no smoking with no delay when I asked upon arrival. I was greeted with friendliness and a smile as soon as I walked in. The bartender at happy hour was great in recommending places to eat and to go sight seeing. The price was fantastic. Would definitely stay again without hesitation.”

• The rooms are very big.
• The parking situation is ridiculous.

“We used valet parking. The first morning our car came to us with a BIG dent in the bumper and yellow paint scraped on the side. This was after they originally brought up the wrong car. The second day, our car was brought to us with a big scrape on the front bumper and another scrape on the back side panel. We only used the valet service because there was no where else to park.”

“We had a wonderful stay. Our room was spacious and clean. The view of the Parkway was terrific. The elevator situation was a bit chaotic with large groups waiting to get on small elevators with long waits. The breakfast was excellent quality with a bit too long of a wait as well. Would definitely return, however.”
